A great affordable glass toy that is body safe and compatible with all lubricants. It comes with it's own storage pouch however you may want to upgrade it to a more padded pouch later on to protect it. The Amethyst by SSA Glass is a Pyrex glass dildo made for stimulating the gspot. It's about 7 1/4 inches long with two insertable ends, both being about 4 and 3 inches. It's curved for gspot stimulation however it could also be used for prostate stimulation as well as the curved end is tipped with a bulb to add more pressure to the gspot/pspot. It comes with a very thin red velvety bag that I honestly would not recommend for this toy as it's not padded and doesn't stay closed.
The Amethyst is made of glass and therefore body safe. It has no taste, odor and cannot harbor bacteria. But due to being made of glass it is rigid, so if you like softer toys this might not be for you. It's great for beginners and solo masturbation sessions since the curve helps with gspotting/pspotting, and could also be used with couples, just be sure to not hurt the person if you are using it on them. Also, due to the slight flare on the handle it could be used anally as well, just make sure you have a solid grip. I had high hopes for this toy seeing as I was waiting forever for it to go back into stock, but it literally fell short when I started using it.
Being it's only 4 inches insertable for the curved end, you must note where exactly your gspot may be. Mine seems to be more inside my body and sharply hooked so I thought this toy would work for me, but sadly it's just a little too short. In order for my to find my spot, I have to also insert part of the handle, and that makes it very uncomfortable to use. If I only insert the curve, I start to jab my pubic bone, and I ended up bruising it slightly the first time I used this toy. I switched it up to using the other end but I found that uncomfortable as well. The bulbs were nice but the flare after then was irritating to me.
Using this toy the second time yielded the same results, and now it sits relatively unused. What a disappointment! If only it was a single inch longer this toy would rival my Pure Wand and Serenity, I am sure of it.
If you're looking for a good gspotting toy but am unsure if this will fit your body type or even hit the spot, then I highly recommend another glass toy, the Serenity, or if you want to go metal, then get the Pure Wand. Sadly the Amethyst just didn't cut it for me, but it's still a lovely toy regardless, with a beautiful color to boot.

Tried it again, same results. Really disappointed. If only it was a tad bit longer! This toy would still be perfect for those with 'shallow' vaginas, though. I eventually gave this toy up to make more room in my toy box for others.

In my own experience, some water-based lubes do dry suspiciously fast on glass and leave something of a residue that occasionally got sticky, but I've never had it become painful. I haven't used lube with my glass since moving on to glycerin-free lubes, though, and I know glycerin is often the culprit with stickiness.
I'll have to try again and see how my Sliquid fares with it. Silicone lube will probably work out better, too.

I noticed this has been out of stock for a long while, or is it just me? I really want to pick this one up, does anyone know when it might be back if ever? I'm not too fond of the others due to them being pink (unless Eden carried the cobalt bent graduate, which I would pick up).
Anyone have any word on when this will be back? -
