Too Much Work

This toy is pretty difficult to use. Unless you have Kegels of steel and good concentration, you will probably have some frustrations with this toy. I used it many times and, while it worked well, it took a few tries to figure out which positions I could and couldn't do. It also fell out a few times during each use. It takes practice! If you want to try a strap-on type toy, but like the idea of no harness, give this a try. But don't expect it to be easy to use the first few times.

Use

This is a "strapless strap-on" that can be used by lesbian couples or straight couples who are into role reversal, although it can also be used for masturbation since the bulb makes a good handle. It really isn't the best toy for beginners though. It is held in place using the Kegel muscles, which can make it pretty difficult to keep in and control during sex.

Material / Texture

This toy is made of silicone, which makes it super easy to clean and sterilize, but also makes it attract lint and dust like a magnet. It's a bit sticky to the touch, but a little water-based lube smooths it out well. But remember: don't use silicone lube with this -- or with any other silicone toy -- or you'll damage the toy! And the Feeldoe is not cheap! The Feeldoe has a firm but still pliable feel to it, and it is surprisingly heavy. It's smooth, but mine had a noticeable seam. At first, it had a noticeable rubbery odor, but after a few gentle washings it had no more smell.

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Feeldoe is the only thing I really had any problem with. For me, the bulb could have been an inch or two longer, just to give me a little more to hang on to and to counterbalance the length of the dong. It always felt unbalanced when I used it, like it wanted to fall forward and out. The size of the dong is really great -- about 7" long and almost 2" wide. I'd recommend the smaller version for anyone looking to try role reversal for the first time though.

There is an insertable bullet located under the bulb in the base of the dong, but it isn't very strong and neither partner can really feel it.

And this toy is by no means discreet. It's bright purple, about nine inches long, and it very obviously looks like a penis. It is rather realistic, except for the color.

Performance

This toy looks great, but I didn't find it very easy to use. As I said earlier, it is a bit unwieldy. Because it has no harness, you have to use your Kegel muscles to hold it in place, which can make some positions (like doggie-style) kind of difficult. The best position we found was for me to lie on my back and for him to get on top of me. Most other positions didn't work with the angle of the dildo and pulled it out of me. It took lots of concentration to hold it in with my muscles and to thrust at the same time.

The little bullet vibe didn't do much for either of us. Its location gives a little vibration to the ridges that are intended to rub against the clit, but those didn't make much contact where they were supposed to. He didn't feel the vibrations at all. The batteries also wore out after the first two uses.

Care and Maintenance

Because the Feeldoe is made of silicone, it is very easy to clean and sanitize. It can be boiled, bleached, or even cleaned in the dishwasher! It is a bit of a dust magnet, so I kept it wrapped in a lint-free cloth in my toy bag. It is a rather large toy, so it can be a little difficult to store or hide away. It should be cleaned thoroughly before and after each use. The silicone this toy is made of is non-porous and hypoallergenic, making this a very safe toy that just about everyone can use. However, be sure to remember not to use silicone-based lubes with this or any other silicone toy; it will damage the material. Water-based lubes are all you should use with the Feeldoe.
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

This toy comes in a plastic blister package, so it isn't really nice gift packaging or discreet at all. I don't remember any useful instructions either.

Personal comments

I honestly liked this toy a lot until I got a much better strap-on. There are a lot of disadvantages to this toy, mostly related to it being a little difficult to use; but it does do the job it is supposed to do. It was much more pleasurable for my partner than for myself. The vibrator and the clit ridges don't really do much for me, but he loved having the 7" buried in his ass. I'd recommend a simpler toy for beginners though.
Follow-up commentary
Thinking back on this toy, along with some of the insights about using some form of a makeshift harness with it, I kind of wish I still had this toy. I liked it enough as-is, but with some of the suggestions made about using underwear as an almost-harness, I think I would enjoy it even more.

Even though I'm no longer in a relationship that involves pegging/role reversal, I would love the chance to try this out with a girl. That's one thing I never did get to do with it when I had it. I like the more natural feel this toy gives, so even though I do love my current strap-on, I may consider buying this toy again sometime in the future if the opportunity to use it arises.

So, you're a hetero couple using it for role reversal, correct? The creator of the Feeldoe admits that this is a difficult use for the Feeldoe harness free. Any one's kegel muscles are going to have a hard time fighting against any one else's rectal muscles. You can try a harness for additional stability or I have heard of people having success with button fly jeans to help hold the Feeldoe in place. Great review.

Great review! I agree with Jimbo Jones - try using the feeldoe with a harness or a pair (or two) of boxer shorts with the peekaboo flap to help keep the feeldoe in place.

I don't think it is just for harness free fun. I think, if held securely in place, it gives the wearer a more credible feeling of having a penis and feeling the thrusting and penetration you are giving to the receiver in a deeper way.

Third the harness. It helps immensely in holding things together, and you still benefit from the internal stimulation of the Feeldoe's bulb (though you're right that the ridges often miss the clit).

What was the later dildo that replaced the Feeldoe?

I had thought about cutting a hole in a pair of panties to help hold it but I never did. If I still had the thing I'd probably try something like that, but my ex took it when we split up. Now I have the Double-Delight Strap-On which I liked a whole lot better for use with a guy. I don't think it's featured here at EF though. Haven't had the chance to use it with a girl, but I can't wait. Sadly my boyfriend doesn't think he could take anything this size, so it's gone unused for a while.

The ridges might be more fun for you if it were more precise stimulation! To this end, I highly recommend shallow blow jobs (as the silicone material is rather firm and may hurt a partner's throat) and hand jobs. Who said role reversal had to stop at penetration?

These look so fun, even just to wear around the house. Thanks for the review!

  • Feeldoe: is it better than a regular strap-on?
    • is the feeldoe better than a strap on? seems like it might try to fall out
    • In many ways yes, it is better than a strap on dildo used in a harness. This can also be used in a harness and there are a variety of reviews you can read to decide if you would like to purchase it.

The reviews can be found here!. If you still have questions you are free to ask the contributors who wrote reviews on the item.
    • Most people need a harness, but when it's used the giver usually gets more stimulation and slightly better control.

I'd recommend the Share or Vixen Nexus before the Feeldoe.

  • Feeldoe and Joque?
    • Hey,
just wondering if anyone has the feeldoe used with the sparepants joque harness? and if so any review/information you can offer?

I've used this with my Joque and the difference was amazing! It felt a lot sturdier and doesn't slip out at all. Before I got the harness, going to fast could lead to the feeldoe falling out but this is no longer an issue.
The harness is well worth the money- incredibly comfortable, easy to clean and feels just like an extension of my body.

      Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info..I wondered if it helped a great deal. The Joque has long been on my wishlist.

  • REALdoe?
    • My boyfriend and I are familiar with, and huge fans of, the Feeldoe line of double-ended strapless strapon dildoes. Now I have learned through feeldoe.com that another product exists: the Realdoe. It's a Feeldoe in realistic skintone, in the same dimensions as the Feeldoe Violet but a little softer. Is this also made by Tantus, or does anyone know who does manufacture it of NOT Tantus? I'd love to get my hands on it. A purple cock is a great thing to have, but to have a realistic-looking penis between my legs with no straps to hold it in place... That would be this pegger's dream come true. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! ~Pixie

This image is courtesy of Amazon , but I'm not sure of the safety of ordering a sex toy there....

Also, thanks for enduring my re-post, I believe the original post ended up in the wrong place, or else "relating" to the wrong things. Thanks! (h)
    • Thanks for asking. We actually do have the RealDoe on order. I'm looking forward to it too as the realistic color and such looks like a lot of fun.

  • Feeldoe compatable harness
    • forkeh
Hi there, I'm interested in buying this pretty little toy, but I know my vaginal muscles aren't quite up to par to hold this in.

So my question is, is it compatable with the Jaguar harness? It's what I have and I really don't want to buy another to accommodate such an expensive dildo.

      Thanks.
    • Yes it is compatable with a Jaguar harness.
    • On a side note - vaginal muscles do not have to be as "up to par" as you might think to use this. Having used this on the bulb/holding end myself, I've only ever had it fall out if things get rough, and I have never done a kegel exercise in my life and I know my vagina is larger than most to boot.

Do I need a harness for a Feeldoe dildo?
    • EF Expert
Quote: Do I need a harness for a Feeldoe dildo?
Feeldoe dildos are generally considered harness-free strap-ons, but you have to have strong vaginal muscles to keep with bulb end inside the vagina and it's really a matter of how tight you can squeeze around the bulb.If your muscles are not strong enough we recommend to use a harness to hold it in place.
    • You don't *need* a harness with any of the double ended dildos, as they are designed to be kept in place by the wearer's kegel muscles. However, if you would like it to be more secure, or you are going to be very rough with it, Outlaw Leather makes all their harness with two holes, do it'll fit in perfectly. I have the Syd, and love it :)
