Vlad The Silicone ImpalerThe Vamp by Tantus is just slightly more than your average everynight dildo. It sparkles! Its size is what sets it apart from other toys, however. It's an all-around great toy that advanced/intermediate users will LOVE using in their butt, in their vagina, in their mouth, in their ear/nose, and in their threehole (not necessarily in that order).
Huge (not for beginners)
The Vamp is a silicone dildo designed by Tantus. Since it's basically your average, everyday dildo, it can be used by anyone, in any orifice, and anywhere. Although, it's not really your average, everyday dildo. Created with a more...undead design in mind, the Vamp is a sickly pale color. Also, it sparkles in the sunlight! Another thing, this dildo is HUGE! It's much larger than most of the toys I own (more on this later). This makes it not wonderful for travel. Regardless of its size, it's still fit for anal use as it does have a flared base.
The Vamp is made of pure 100% silicone so there's no worry about a weird smell or taste. It's a little softer than, say, California Exotics' silicone, but much harder than more silicone toys I have. It's supposed to be realistic, however, since I've never experienced the real thing, I can't really say much about how realistic it really is. It looks a lot like a weirdly-proportioned penis as it's much thicker on top than on the bottom and the veins are very subtle and wavey. One thing I have noticed is that it picks up 'ass smell' really well and really holds onto it.
As previously mentioned, this toy is pretty freaking big. It's about 6 inches around at the head, which is pretty intense to get in. One you get past that, it gradually gets thinner as you go down the 6 or 7-inch shaft. Once you get passed the difficult-to-insert-because-it's-so-darn-big head, it's very nice and comfortable. It's supposed to be somewhat realistic as it's got a head and veins and whatnot but I personally have no problem with that. Since it's unmistakeably a penis-shaped dildo, it's not good for leaving out wherever or travel.
Although the Vamp is huge, it feels really good and hits many of the right spots. It just takes some work to get in. I still haven't been able to get it all the way in, but I've gotten most of it. Since it has a flared base, it is O-ring harness compatible, but since I don't use harnesses, I can't say how it would perform.
Silicone is one of the easiest materials to care for. It rates a 10 on Eden's safety scale. It's waterproof, mostly inert, and practically indestructible. There are many, many ways you can clean this toy. The easiest way is to simply wash with warm water and anti-bacterial soap. If you really want to get the clean in there, you can stick it in a pot of boiling water for about 10 minutes, or soak it in a 5% bleach solution. Silicone is compatible with water-based lubes only and other kinds of lubes can degrade the material. To store, simply put in its packaging and throw into a drawer.
The Vamp arrived in a clear plastic box that lists all sorts of stuff except for the toy name (which you actually have to look for). I also found the package a bit of a puzzle to open. Inside the box is a little 2-part plastic tray. The whole ensemble is perfect for storage.
