Where the River Flows.

The Alumina Flow is an innovative and classy dildo. I wish it came with a storage pouch, but luckily I already had a spare. I have another Alumina dildo and between the two I have managed to create two perfect dildos for vaginal and anal play! I highly recommend Flow to anyone who wants to try her. If you have not tried a harder material but wanted to, Flow would be a perfect option. I love how she makes me feel pampered, and she definitely keeps me satisfied. Flow is hypnotizing.

Use

Flow is a simple creation from Tantus. Her double ended shaft gently flows to please either males or females. While she is called plain by some, I call her perfect. She is a traditional dildo with a special little twist, but I will talk about this more later. The material she is made out of is very rigid, so be sure to use caution when thrusting. Neither tip is pointy, but it can still cause some bruising. This dildo has a large, filling end and a small, slim end. There is something for everyone. This dildo can be used vaginally or anally. There isn't a designated flared base, but the middle black ring acts as a stopping point. If using anally, be sure to always keep a firm grip on the toy and never try to insert it all the way. We do not want any embarrassing trips to the ER. Flow lacks any sort of curve for G-spot or P-spot stimulation, so keep that in mind. The dildo can be used for amazing temperature play as well.

Material / Texture

Flow is part of the Alumina line from Tantus. Each dildo in the Alumina line is made from 100% aeronautic grade aluminum. Aluminum has less density than that of stainless steel, so it will feel lighter when compared. However, Flow still has a nice weight to her. In no way does she feel hollow or cheap. Tantus anodizes each toy, which gives it that beautiful purple color. It also increases the dildo's corrosion and wear resistance. The purple color is absolutely gorgeous in person. This is what royalty would have used. Aluminum is the most abundant metal on Earth, and it is recyclable and safe for the body. Aluminum heats up extremely fast to your body temperature, and it holds that temperature very well. I am shocked by how hot it is whenever I clean it after a nice solo session. If you want to play with temperature, just place it in the desired temperature of water for 3-5 minutes. Aluminum is a non-porous, latex free, and phthalates free material. It is compatible with any and all lubricants.
In the middle of Flow, you will notice a black ring. This ring is just like an O ring and feels like rubber. You may be thinking to yourself, "Why in the world does a dildo need an O ring?". Well, each Alumina toy is made in two sections that comes together with a screw and an O ring to help give the dildo a smooth, seam free look. It also prevents natural fluids and lubes from getting trapped in the screw and holes that holds the screw. The O ring has a slight seam, but I can't feel it during play.
The shaft itself has no seams though. It is completely smooth. The product page picture makes it look like it has a matte finish, but my Flow came to me with a shiny and slick finish. In one of the pictures below, you will see that the inside of the hole that the screw is placed in is also anodized. It has the same purple color as the outside of the shaft. That is absolutely top quality in my opinion.

Design / Shape / Size

The really neat thing about Flow and the other dildos in the Alumina line is that they are two separate pieces that are put together via a screw and an O ring to seal it all up. Each piece is interchangeable with the other pieces. This way, you can make your perfect or ideal dildo! How creative and awesome is that? The two pieces are screwed together, so all you have to do is twist them apart. Then screw the two favored pieces back together. Make sure you have the O ring. Otherwise, there will be a pretty large gap between the two pieces. Not only will this gap collect fluids, but it will not feel very good when thrusting or inserting.
I have the Flow and Revolve, and I have successfully created two perfect dildos (one for vaginal play and one for anal play). The smaller end of the Revolve and Flow make my anal dildo, and the bigger ends make my vaginal dildo! But, back to the design of Flow...
Each end of Flow is blunt and smooth. The smaller end has more of a taper than the bigger end. The taper to each end is very gentle. No part of the toy is pronounced, so there is very little chance of it getting caught on the pubic bone. The whole design is very gentle like a river flowing (hence the name). Flow is beginner friendly when it comes to the design, but the rigid material can be very intense for some. The small end makes the perfect handle while thrusting. This can really come in handy as there is no texture, and when lubed up it can turn into a very slippery slope.

Insertable Length on both sides-4 1/2"
Diameter of large end-1 3/8"

Performance

It occurred to me the other day that Flow reminded me of another toy, but for the life of me I couldn't figure it out! Finally, it hit me. Flow is just like Hera in design. Both are double ended with a larger end for a full feeling and a smaller end for anal play or a handle. Flow is a bit longer in overall length, and they are both made by different materials. Hera's smaller end is shorter than Flow's smaller end.

Flow has and still is a complete joy to use. Although I usually prefer some texture, I prefer smooth toys during that time of the month as well as during those days when my lady parts are tender. I have not had a problem with this toy hitting my cervix. It does not give me G-spot orgasms, but the full end rubs my G-spot nicely and gives me pretty awesome vaginal orgasms. The lack of texture does make it difficult to hold onto with lubed up hands and fingers. The endless possibilities with the Alumina line is just mind blowing and fantastic. Hopefully, I can add Motion to the family soon!

Care and Maintenance

Flow is super easy to take care of. A simple cleaning with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner is all you need to do. Never use anything abrasive to clean Flow as it could scratch and ruin the toy. For a deeper clean, Flow can be put in the top rack of the dishwasher without any soap. Pay careful attention to the O ring as it can trap fluids and lubes.
A nice, soft cloth can be used to dry the toy, but I prefer to let it air dry. For storage, the original packaging would do very nicely. I store mine in a toy pouch. With simple cleaning and care, Flow will last you a lifetime. If sharing with a partner, use a condom. Be sure to clean properly before going from anal to vaginal play. As said before, any lubes will work with Flow. So, lube up and enjoy the natural flow of things!

Packaging

Flow comes in a nice cardboard box. It is sturdy but will not last forever. When opened, you will find a thin layer of removable gray foam and a pamphlet on the Alumina line. After removing this foam, you will see the Alumina Flow nestled in the same gray foam. This provides a good place for storage if you have nothing else.
The front of the box has a silver outline of Flow, and the side of the box has some information about the toy as well. While it is not the most discreet, it sure looks classy.
