Yo nubs, where's your G?

SSA Glass's Nubby G Wand is a lovely, nub covered glass dildo. The gentle texture is perfect for beginners, as well as more advanced users. However, this toy's G-spotting curve is just too slight to be effective for this user.

Use

SSA Glass's Nubby G Wand is a glass dildo with a nub covered shaft and gentle G-spotting curve. While the tapered end is the obvious choice for insertion, the opposite bulbed end can also be utilized for a popping sensation. Because it does not have a flared base, this toy is not recommended for anal use; however, if you're really intent on going there and are an advanced/experienced anal player, or have an partner with a firm grip, proceed with caution.

Material / Texture

The Nubby G Wand is made from very safe Pyrex glass (a 10 on Eden's material safety scale). Glass is a non-porous, food-grade material, as well as hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates free. The material is also wonderful for temperature play by placing it in warm or icy water, and it's safe to share with partners. However, glass toys are very hard and rigid; care should be taken while thrusting to prevent injury. Glass also has no smell or taste to it.

As the name implies, the shaft of the Nubby G is covered in nubs, though they aren't huge or intimidating for those new to textured toys. The head is tapered and the opposite end has two bulbs or bulges. The toy isn't entirely discreet; it does resemble a sex toy, but it is also very pretty and many choose to display it as a decoration or art.

Design / Shape / Size

The Nubby G is phallic shaped with a clearly defined, tapered head, and a long nub covered (slightly curved) shaft that ends in two bulbs or bulges. My Nubby G is clear with very light pink colored nubs. In the very bottom bulb, there is a yellow, green, red and white flower encased in the glass. As I said, while not entirely realistic looking, it is phallic shaped, but it is very pretty and could be left out on display. Because of its moderate size and weight, it can easily be traveled with if adequately protected.

Measurements for the Nubby G Wand are:
Length: 7 1/4"
Insertable length: 5 1/2"
Circumference:
~Of largest part of head: 4 1/4"
~Of shaft: 3 1/2"
~Of bulbs: 4 1/2" & 4"
Diameter:
~Of largest part of head: 1 1/4"
~Of shaft: 1"
~Of bulbs: 1 3/8" & 1 1/8"
Weight: 10 1/2 oz

The nubs are roughly a small pea size and extend about 1/8" from the shaft.

Performance

The Nubby G Wand is simple to use. Lube it up (if desired) and slide it in, thrust fast or slow, clench around it and thrust or put pressure on the G-spot... use it however you desire. Though this isn't recommended for anal play, if you intend to go there, use caution (or a partner with a firm grip)!

Care and Maintenance

Caring for the Nubby G is simple. Clean with soap and water, toy cleaner or wipes, boil briefly, use a 10% bleach solution, or place in the top rack of a dishwasher with no detergent or one made specifically for glass. Any and all lubricants are safe to use with the toy, and it is easily stored in the pouch it came in or a more padded one if you choose.

Packaging

This toy comes with very minimal packaging. The Nubby G is wrapped in a thin sheet of bubble wrap inside a thin, velvety red drawstring pouch. You can obviously use the pouch for storage, or find the toy a more padded home if you desire.

Experience

The Nubby G Wand is a pretty little piece of glass. I've never usually cared for textured vaginal toys, but this one gave me no trouble. Even though there are quite a few of them, the nubs are small enough that I was able to not find them painful or irritating. I didn't really enjoy using the bulbed end, though; I preferred the tapered head for insertion.

Even though the nubs gave me no trouble, I really wish that this toy had a bit more girth. I also found that the slight curve was not enough for me to use this as a G-spotter (as the name implies). Overall, this is indeed a pretty glass toy, but I need a more substantial curve to make using this worthwhile. Sadly, because of that, it will be sitting in one of my toy drawers unloved.
Follow-up commentary
My Nubby G went to a new home. It didn't have enough of a curve to work as a G-spotter for me, so there really wasn't much reason to keep it around.
