Yummy Glass

This toy is beautiful enough to be displayed like a piece of fine art. It is beautiful and functional. It does the job it is advertised to do and will leave you feeling pampered and spoiled. The probe is slim and yet very easily felt.

extremely useful review
I wondered if the Gold Fumed Scribble Wand by Phallix was a one hit wonder so I decided to give the Blue Bump Probe a try. I know I like glass toys for their versatility and just plain beautiful styling but would the second toy measure up to the loveliness of the first?

The toy arrived in a clear plastic sleeve type package. I was taken aback when I realized that the insert in the package was advertising another product than the Blue Bump Probe! The packaging was not at all discreet nor was it something you could store the toy in afterward. It was, however, easy to open.

The Blue Bump Probe is a clear glass wand type probe covered evenly with deep blue, gem like bumps of glass. The toy comes with a pretty white satin bag decorated with a strip of white lace and a pretty silk ribbon bow. The bag is very pretty and girly but thin satin isn't much protection for the glass investment.

Attached to the silky bag with a plastic string is a blurb about the purchase. The toy is made with only "medical grade Pyrex (hard glass)" designed to "withstand extreme temperatures and physical shock without compromise to its structural integrity", nice to know! The blurb goes on to mention that any color is non-toxic and within FDA standards. Then the common sense admonishment: "discard if chipped or damaged", this is glass after all!

Glass toys are dead easy to keep clean and sterile even with bumps! Soap and hot water, toy cleaner, wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution, boiling for a few minutes, or placing it in the top rack of the dishwasher will all yield the desired result of keeping the toy bacteria free. Glass is non-porous but if you plan on sharing the toy with a partner during a play session a condom is advisable to make cleaning it between players easier.

The Blue Bump Probe that I received was 3/4 inches in diameter making it a slim little thing. It is 7 inches long and tapers from a knob on one end to a point quite a bit smaller than 3/4 in. Insertion is easy and pleasurable especially if, for whatever reason, you are sensitive to larger or more textured probes.

This toy is textured with blue bumps, hence the name, and while they aren't huge they are noticeable and easily felt. The glass is smooth and seamless where it isn't bumpy and any type of lube would work equally well. It comes down to personal preference though if you want to use this toy in the shower silicone lube would last longer and provide better lubrication. Be extra careful not to drop this toy in the shower though chances are it would fare just fine. The knob on the end of the toy makes it fairly easy to hold on to even with lube slick hands. The knob also feels nice when inserted first and hit my G spot easily and comfortably, though the other tapered end was actually more pleasurable for me. With just a bit of angling this probe easily reached the desired area and when paired with either a tongue or a vibrator on the clit provided an easily achieved and explosive orgasm.

The one thing I like the most about glass toys is temperature play. A quick rinse in cold water and the probe is ready. It's a lot less harsh than ice cubes and as it warms the sensation is indescribable. Another quick rinse in warm water and the heat is amazing as well. The probe adjusts to your body temperature quickly if you prefer not to have a cold or hot toy around your sensitive parts.

The toy doesn't have a flared enough base for me to recommend it for anal insertion as it can become rather slippery with lube, but I did find it to be pleasurable for temperature play in the area with a careful and attentive partner. Though we did not use it for insertion it was nice to have the sensation of being stroked with the cold tip around the anus.
Follow-up commentary
While a bit on the slender side I still love this toy! It is so versatile, it works wonderfully with heat/cold play and hits my "g" spot with ease. It is great paired with a small vibrator. The bumps are easily felt and when the toy is twisted inside the vagina during thrusting they provide an added sensation that is indescribable! This toy is easy to clean, can be used with any type lube and is just plain gorgeous, what's not to love?
