Groovies wave - traditional vibrator by Shaki Toys - review by Kissaki

The Groovies Wave is a good travel size vibrator which works well for both clitoral and g-spot stimulation. It is probably well suited for those new to toy use. However, anyone may find it pleasurable. It can be used either solo or with your partner during foreplay, but I found it powerful enough to bring me to climax by itself. It is waterproof which makes it OK to use in the shower, but I would be hesitant to submerge it in the tub.

The plastic material has a smooth feel to it. It is non-porous, phthalate-free, and on the higher end of the material safety scale. The plastic material is safe to use with water, oil, or silicone based lubes.

The total length of the toy is a little less than 5 1/2 inches with a little over 4 inches being insertable. The head of the toy is about 1 inch in diameter. The jewels on the battery cap not only provide some visual flair but they also keep the toy from rolling off a flat surface, such as a nightstand.

The vibration control is located at the base of the vibrator and is a single push button control. Pressing the button cycles through the eight vibration patterns as well as turning it off. The different settings are as follows:
1-light constant vibration
2-medium constant vibration
3-high constant vibration
4-vibration intensity starts low then increases to high and then back down again
5-pulsation
6-fast pulsation
7-buzzing
8-cycles through each of the other 7 cycles
9-off
The control button is well placed and requires enough effort to push to avoid accidentally changing the setting during use or having it go off in your bag if your are carrying it with you. I have only used the toy a couple of times thus far, so it's too soon to say how it performs on battery consumption. This toy is labeled as being waterproof, and there is an o-ring present where the cap screws onto the base to prevent water from entering into the battery compartment. The control button also appears to be sealed from water.

This toy can be cleaned with soap and water or rubbing alcohol. So, care is quite simple. As with most battery operated devices, the manufacturer recommends that you remove the batteries when not in use. The plastic material is safe to use with water, oil, or silicone based lubes.

The packaging included some instructions on the back of the package that were easy to read and provide a description of the different vibration patterns. It also provides care and cleaning instruction and a reminder to remove the batteries when not in use.

The bulk of this review was provided by my wife. I have only one additional comment. While using the toy on her, as she approached climax, she squeezed her legs together which pinned my fingers against the jewels at the base of the toy. It was mildly uncomfortable for me, but I wasn't going to do anything about it and disrupt her. Those who are into a little pain might enjoy this. I now know in the future to be mindful of where my fingers are located during use in order to avoid this situation.
