A bumpy ride

Jopen Vr5 is beautiful and powerful. It knocked my socks off within a few minutes of use. She's sleek and sexy and the newest love of my life. Features include dual motors & controls, waterproof, rechargeable, and silicone. For me, she was well worth the cost.

Use

Jopen Vr5. is a rabbit style vibrator. The main characteristic of rabbits is that they combine internal and external stimulation. They have both a shaft for the vagina and a clit arm for the clitoris. Some rabbits have moving parts like rotating shafts and popping beads. I have had some rabbits that qualify as a certified amusement park ride. The Jopen Vr5 doesn't have those fancy moves, but it really doesn't need them. It's a classy rabbit among the hoards of rabbits available. It has a bumpy shaft to hit the G-spot and a clit arm to hit just the right spot up north. It features dual controls and motors so the shaft and arm work independent of each other. It's sleek and sexy and has a whimsical design that is fun.

I think the design is best suited for solo play, but it can certainly be used together with a partner. Being waterproof it just begs to join you in the tub or shower. While it is designed for vaginal use, it would be fine for anal use. The clit arm would act as a barrier so it could not slip in. I have not used it this way so won't comment on the effectiveness. However, I do think it would be safe to do so.

Material / Texture

Jopen 5 is made from premium silicone. It is nonporous, hypoallergenic, and phthalate free. Silicone rates a 10/10 on Eden's safety scale. I love buying silicone toys because it is such a safe choice. Silicone is easy to clean and can be sterilized. You really can't go wrong with silicone toys. The only disadvantage is that silicone is a lint magnet. I swear lint from 5 feet away just hops on any silicone available. I always rinse my toys before use even though they are clean to get rid of the unwanted gunkies.

The Jopen silicone is smooth and silky. I love to run my hands along the sleek body. It has a satiny finish perfect for caressing. There is not too much drag with the toy. It does glide fairly effortless across skin. I didn't need to use lube with mine. However, if you desire lube be sure to use water based lubes only. Silicone lubes do not agree with silicone. They will fight and your toy will be the loser. Do not mix silicone lubes with silicone toys if you want to ensure a long life for your toy.

This toy has interesting bulges that give it a unique shape, but there is no extra texture anywhere. It is smooth everywhere without any raised texture.

I think this toy would be good for beginners and experience users alike. Although since it is pricey, beginners may want to experiment with different styles, shapes, and sizes to discover what they really like first. Women's anatomies are all different. We don't all like the same type of toys. When buying pricier toys, it helps to have a good idea of individual preferences first. That way you have less of a chance of buying an expensive toy that just sits in a drawer.

Design / Shape / Size

I was intrigued with the shape of this from the very first time I saw it. I love the whimsical artsy design. I did wonder if it would be as functional as it was beautiful. The bumpy ends were interesting. Would they be hard to insert? Would it be uncomfortable? I wasn't totally sure I wanted to find out. I had an opportunity to see one at a brick and mortar store. It wasn't as scary as I thought. It is smaller than I imagined and the bumps were still enticing. I finally took the plunge and ordered one.

It is actually a small vibrator. Even though I had seen one in a store, I was still surprised when I opened mine at home. It is a small size vibrator comparable in size to Lelo's Gigi. Here is a comparison pic of Jopen Vr5 and Gigi.

It measures about 6 inches long with 4 inches of that insertable. The bulges on the shaft are not very big. The widest part of the first is about 4 inches around. The second one is a tad larger at 4.25 inches around. The first bulge has a tapered head making inserting easy. Like I stated above, I didn't need lube. But some water based lube would make inserting a snap.

The first bulge curves upward. It is designed to hit the G-spot, and it did hit mine. The clit arm is about 1.5 inches long. Hopefully once inserted the arm will reach your clit. It is somewhat flexible but really just wants to sit in the same place. I liked the clit arm, but I'm not real particular about where a clit arm hits. I just like it in the general vicinity of my clit. Most woman want it right on their clits. That's where rabbits get tricky. It might reach the right spot or it might be off a bit. There's nothing more frustrating than having a vibrator hit a little bit away from its target. For me, it was golden.

The Jopen is a beautiful shade of purple. It's bright and sophisticated at the same time. I have to say it looked smashing against my bright yellow sheets.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Vr5 has dual controls and dual motors for the shaft and the arm. That's great because you can adjust each part exactly to your liking. The vibrations offered are deep and rumbly steady vibrations. There are no pulsating vibrations. If you must have pulses, do not purchase this as you will be disappointed. However if you love steady vibrations this may be what you are looking for. I would rate the strength of them at a 4/5. They are also very quiet and discreet. The low hum is audible in the room, but not behind closed doors. Even with both motors running, it is quiet.

The functions are controlled by two buttons located just under the clit arm. They look just like two raised circles on the toy. The top one controls the shaft while the bottom activates the arm. To turn on and go to your favorite intensity level, just push and hold. Many vibrators require you to push repeatedly to scroll through the settings. This is just a simple push and hold. Pushing once more will turn it off. To turn it off push once. It's very easy to use. My only complaint is that in the beginning I would accidentally turn it off. I had to get used to holding it without my hands on the buttons. Once I figured it out, I was fine.

This is a rechargeable toy. The charger snaps into the port on its back. A red light shines when it is charging and goes off when it is fully charged. It's not finicky about how it is placed when charging. I don't have to babysit it to make sure the wire is in place. It simply charges as expected and is ready to go.

Care and Maintenance

Care is simple with this toy. It can be washed with antibacterial soap and water or a toy cleaner. The silicone is easy to disinfect and there are no difficult places to clean on this. Just be sure to get the space between the arm and shaft. It's not difficult to reach though. My finger fits in there. Never boil it or put it in the dishwasher because it has a motor.

It is a good idea to rinse or clean before use as well as after. That's mainly to remove the lint that thinks the Jopen is its mother.

It can be stored in its original packaging. Jopen has included a large black silky pouch that is perfect for the toy, charger, and instructions. It is a thin drawstring pouch with the Jopen name proudly displayed on the front. All of this was included in a white cardboard box. I don't think this box is as nice as other luxury toys such as Lelo, Je Joue, and NJoy. It is not heavy duty. However with some care, it should be suitable for long term storage if desired.

Experience

I love the Jopen Vr5. Happily all my concerns were washed away the first time I used it. Her strong vibrations and G-spot action won me over right away. I prefer to play with her solo or with just my husband watching. It's not really a toy I want him controlling. I tell him it's because she is too sophisticated and delicate for his man hands. He just smiles and nods and lets me play. Since clit action is usually secondary for me, I like to just turn on the shaft first and get good and warmed up. Then turning on the clit arm is enough to quickly send me over the edge.

The Jopens are pricey, but this one has been worth it for me. I hope to add one or two more to my collection someday.
