A Bust of a Product
Overall, the Sex in the Shower Silicone Vibrator was a weak vibrator. The only plus that I found was it is truly waterproof. If you like shallow, light vibrations then this toy is a winner, but if you like stronger play look elsewhere!Published: October 22, 2011
Pros:
quiet, waterproof
Cons:
difficult battery pack, weak
The Sex in the Shower Silicone Vibrator is a waterproof vibrator that is true to it's name. It has a tightly enclosed battery pack that keeps water out. It is made of a firm, blue silicone with white plastic for the controller. It has two control buttons on the front for power and cycling through multiple settings. The buttons are easy to push and there is no confusion. It runs on two AAA batteries which are not included.
The design is simple and sleek. Its thickest point is at the top, slowly tapering down towards the bottom of the vibrator silicone and flaring back out at the end of the toy. It's not very long and it is not girthy, so if you're looking for a larger sized vibrator I would skip over this one.
Vibrations are weak and the variation between speeds is barely noticeable to m, although I may have been using cheap batteries. I will be experimenting with different batteries soon and will include it in my follow up. It has 10 different settings, going from low to high, as well as different pulsating patterns. It is a little bit deceiving because the vibrations sound like they would pack a lot power behind them, but they fall short.
Cleaning the waterproof vibrator is easy and quick. Clean it before use in the shower with soap and water or clean it before you get in with toy cleanser. After use just repeat the process! I store my toy in the plastic package that it came in and put it under my bed for safe keeping. Do not use silicone based lube with this toy as it is made of silicone and the lube would create a huge mess.
I would suggest this waterproof vibrator to someone who is looking to add a true waterproof vibrator to their collection for the price. If you're a beginner who is sensitive to vibrations this would be a good choice.

Experience
I was super excited when this toy arrived in the mail. I started to rip open the package to figure it all out. The biggest complaint that I have about this toy is the battery pack. You unscrew the middle of the toy and pull the string that is connected to the white circle (a.k.a. the battery protector). If you don't have it matched up correctly it will be difficult to pull out and put back in. It is very frustrating! When I got into the shower and turned the toy on the vibrations were really weak and I had to focus to feel anything. The different settings seemed to vary only a little and I had to press down to feel the difference. I am not impressed!
Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
I tried new batteries with the Sex in the Shower Waterproof Silicone Vibrator and it did not change anything! The vibrations are so weak I couldn't even focus on enjoying myself. I like that it is fully waterproof, but what is the point when it barely vibrates! So bummed.

Lelo Much?
-
So I've found that more and more I recognize the color scheme and patterning in sex toys that are not from the Lelo brand as imitating the Lelo brand.
I know that Lelo does not have a patent or anything on the scheme, but to all of us who are familiar with sex toys, it is recognizable. I know I sometimes wonder why they would do it. I mean, I guess they are drawing in some customers who subliminally associate the scheme with luxury and good craftsmanship, but in the end they are still associating that stuff with LELO. Why don't companies come up with their own scheme or look that is recognizable?
Thoughts? -

However, I am not sure what the retail will be for this one, yet. These are not rechargeable like LELO products. In fact, this one takes 2 AAA batteries. So, I even question the ability to be as powerful. I've requested it to try out. Guess we will see if it is close or not. ;)

I'm sure I will once I own one though.

I think a lot of folks are trying to raise their bar to be on the level as LELO as they seem to be coming out as the leading brand for quality and luxury. Maybe someone who thinks the Mona is too much, might like something like this better as it's battery powered and may not be as strong? (???)
I may not be as much help, and I do think that perhaps copying a color scheme is probably not a great idea, but if companies are aspiring to compete with the best (based on others' opinion), then that just translates to more toys for us!

Thanks for the review! This seems like a good toy but no one seems satisfied from the reviews I've read!
I was expecting more out of it hopefully overtime I can make it work!
So sorry to hear how terrible this was. Thanks for the review. This one does sound like a complete fail. I will pass, gladly. Lol. Better luck with your next toy. It's so upsetting to be let down by a toy so badly.
