A great little device!
It's a fairly high price to pay, but if you're after a rechargeable bullet-style vibe that is discrete, classy and unintimidating, then Mia's your girl!Published: September 9, 2009
Pros:
Rechargeable, classy and discrete.
Cons:
That cap!
I really loved the concept of the Mia when I first heard of it. The rechargability of it was a huge draw for me (I'm a poor student, so the idea of not having to worry about batteries seemed really good), and I still find that very useful as I generally always have my PC on, so I can pop it in to the USB port and leave it to do it's thing- best of all, I really think most people would think it was a USB stick type device if they saw it so it's really quite discrete. It does take a while to charge but it's not that bad to wait for it. Pop it in the USB port during the day and you'll be ready for that well-deserved break come the afternoon!
When I received the Mia, I was really impressed by the way in which Lelo have packaged this toy, the packaging referring to the Mia as a 'pleasure object'. This lends such a grown up, classy and non-sleazy feel to the product. Something I'm all for in the industry!
Another thing I think really rocks about the Mia is the fact that it is so unintimidating, a huge plus point if someone who was new to toys bought it, or if you have a nervous/apprehensive partner.
The frequency is noticeably different from some other bullet vibes I own, which is a good thing for me personally as it provides something different.
It should really go without saying that Mia is really a bit too small to be an internal device so it's really for girls who get off on clitoral stimulation, but there's no reason why you couldn't team it with a favorite dildo or vibrator.
The only thing I dislike about the Mia at all is that the cap sometimes 'clicks' off slightly during use, and I think this should be modified, either a more secure click-down mechanism or maybe a screw cap?

Mias USB cover cap
-
I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?
Thanks!!

Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?
-
So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?

I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.

I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.

New Lelo Mia?
-
Does anyone have the "new and improved" Lelo Mia? I'm curious if it's a lot better.
-
I didn't even know about the new and improved Mia, now I'm curious because I was thinking about getting the Mia with my next order.
-
I just went on the website and looked, I'm hoping that the one I order will be the new and improved one, because they said that they started making them better as of February. Now I'm even more excited to try it out :)

Thank you for viewing Mia – clitoral vibrator review page!

I really like small toys, like this, without cords, but usually they are run on expensive watch batteries. I love that this is rechargeable!
Thanks for the review and welcome!
