This toy was definitely designed
I saw this little vibe and just had to have it. What attracted me to it was the neon orange color. It never hurts to have a little color variety in the toy box. The raised design was interesting too, but I wasn't sure how that would play into penetration, but I assumed it was there because it was meant for that.
When this toy arrived, it was the first thing I opened. I was glad to see that the dial control was a separate piece from the battery compartment. I've had toys before where the battery compartment was accessed by turning the dial control. There is no such problem with this toy, and thus no worry about turning the dial so far that the compartment opens & batteries pop out.
As odd as it may seem, I also found further interest in the toy because I could see what's inside due to the translucent jelly material. It smelled a little upon first opening, but after the first few washings it no longer had an odor (unlike other jelly toys I've owned that had the odor no matter how often they were washed or how much time had passed).
My first test run with this was using it as a clit vibrator, and boy was it great at that! Not only was this toy extremely quiet on the low settings, but it sent some very nice vibrations. It has 5 detectable levels of vibrations, though since it's a gradual dial you can't just know right off the bat how far to turn to hit the level you want.
I love the vibrations, but there's a couple levels that are noisier than the rest. I found that the 3rd & 4th levels were pretty noisy depending on what part of the vibrator you were holding on to. For those two levels if you're holding onto the control part or the jelly part near the upper part of the plastic cylinder (not talking about the egg) it makes a very noisy vibration like holding plastic to plastic. But if you hold the vibrator on the jelly right at the base of the egg it goes back to whisper quiet. Once you bump up to level 5 there's no issue anymore. I found the vibrations to be sufficient around level 2 or 3, with anything higher being a little too fast. That fault with noise level based on where you're holding it was the only downfall. It was a distraction when I wanted to use level 3, and then had to reposition my fingers so that it would quiet back down so that it couldn't be heard.
In regards to insertion, I didn't find it all that great; the ribbed and raised designs on it were misleading. It was nice, but it's much better suited for stimulating the clit; perfect length for reaching, great vibrations, and very quiet. The textures didn't really do much for me during penetration. It didn't turn out to be that good for penetration, but it turned out to be an
excellent clit vibe, so I feel it was money well spent.
Orange is so awesome. I wish all toys came in orange.
Good point.
I did notice that when turning the dial there's a very very subtle gradual increase, but there are certain points where it jumps noticeably. It's like you turn the dial a good amount & it hovers at the same vibration level, and then right before it jumps to the next "level" there's a short section of the turn where there's a very subtle gradual increase.
Also- it is a jelly toy and very porous, so be sure to cover with a condom for any penetrative use or sharing.
So there are discrete vibration levels within the turn dial adjustment? How odd.
