This toy is so versatile. I enjoy using this for direct clitoral stimulation. The vibrations are quite strong even at the head of the toy, and they are very strong in the lower shaft where the motor is. It feels really nice to run the whole length of the toy (minus the end cap) along my clitoris to feel the varying vibrations. This toy is marketed as a g-spot stimulator, and is shaped as such. It does an amazing job for me, in that respect. My favorite thing to do with this toy is to use the head to stimulate my g-spot, then bend the rest of the shaft up to feel the vibrations on my clit.
This toy is made of smooth silicone. It's very flexible along the shaft but the material hardens at the head. This silicone has a little more traction than that of other toys. It's not sleek; rather, it's got a little drag when you run it through your hands. This adds a little bit of friction upon insertion which can be nice, and which I enjoy. It is hard to insert when not sufficiently lubricated, though.
I really enjoy the design of this toy. More subtle g-spot toys, like ones that have a simple curve or slight bend at the end, do not hit my g-spot very easily. But this toy has a nice bulb on the end that really pushes against my g-spot, which I love. I'm used to toys with more girth or some sort of texture on the shaft but this toy has a simple, semi-slender design that is intended to hit the g-spot--and it definitely does. I really don't miss having more texture or size. Also, I love that the design incorporates different types of silicone that allow the toy to flex in some places and really stiffen-up where needed. Overall, I love the design of the Harmonia.
The Harmonia has a vibrator in the shaft, which sends vibrations all the way up to the head. Some may not find the vibrations at the head to be strong enough, but they were just fine for me. This toy has a nice selection of vibration settings too. It has three steady speeds: mildly fast, faster, fastest, and then three more patterns of vibrations that are really enjoyable. The controls for the vibe are easy: there are two buttons-- one to turn it on, and the other to switch settings. The only trouble with this is that you can only go forward in a loop through the vibration settings, so if you want to alternate between two types of vibrations, you have to press the button until you get around to it again. But this isn't a really big hang-up for me. The vibrations are pretty quiet and they're all a very steady hum. As the vibrations get more intense, the noise doesn't increase very much either.
This toy comes with a great box with two drawers that hold the toy and the accessories that come with it. It also comes with a pouch that can be used to hold the toy. After using the toy, I wash it with soap and water, remove the batteries and place it back in the drawer.
I really love this packaging. It's the first toy I've had where I feel really comfortable using the packaging as storage. It's a box with two drawers--the top one with a foam insert for the toy, and the bottom drawer for the lube sample, product booklet, batteries, and pouch that come with the toy. Great idea!
Follow-up commentaryI still like it9 months after original review
I've noticed that the Harmonia's vibrations slow down a bit when the batteries aren't fresh, which is disappointing because they don't travel as well through the entire toy. I've made it a habit to take the batteries out after each use to prevent this from happening as quickly.
On a positive note though, after using a couple other vibrators with pattern options, I've realized that I don't enjoy using them very much. However, the Harmonia has a couple that I really love.
I still enjoy using this toy, it just isn't my favorite anymore.
