A new mom must have

These balls are an amazing part of my daily routine. They help with incontinence if you have had that issue after giving birth. Great for strengthening the muscles stretched by child birth. So discreet you can wear them anytime anywhere.

Pros:
Great way to strengthen your vaginal muscles. Ribbing adds to stimulation.
Cons:
A little big, and heavy.

Use

This toy is fantastic, I use it to help strengthen my vaginal muscles. After having children I have had some issues with incontinence but after using these balls for 30 minutes a day while I clean or dance with my kids it has really helped to strengthen the muscles down there and helped stopped my leakage issues. These balls can be used at any time and for however long you would like. I have found the best way to use them is to practice Kegel exercises while they are inserted. Which is to squeeze the muscles and hold for a count of ten and then release. I do these for 30 minutes and have really noticed a difference.

Material / Texture

These balls are made of elastomed plastic in a silicone sleeve. They are hypoallergenic, latex free, non-porous, and phthalates free. They kinda feel velvety to the touch and the ribbing on it gives a little extra stimulation. The down side is the ribbing could be uncomfortable for some people. Each ball has a weight inside and you can hear the weights move around when you shake them. These balls don't smell which is a plus!
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Ribbing

Design / Shape / Size

When I first got these balls I was a little intimidated by the size and weight. They are in my opinion large and heavy. This is okay once you get used to them but they were kind of uncomfortable when I first inserted them(pre baby). However after having kids it was completely different. They were more comfortable to wear. I guess this is because things got a little lax down below. The design for me adds a little extra stimulation but as mentioned before, this may not be for everyone. I like how discreet this toy is. I wore it out at a family gathering and no one was the wiser. They are easy to travel with and store.

The Teneo balls are a little big and intimidating measuring in at 7 1/4" in length. They have a circumference of 4 3/4" and a diameter of 1 1/2". The little weights inside are 0.3 lbs, although I am not sure if that is per weight or if that's how much they weigh all together.
    • Discreet look/design

Performance

I personally love these things, I was very skeptical when a friend told me about them. I didn't think they would really work. When I tried them out I wasn't sold on them. After having my kids though, my friend told me to try them out again and ever since then I can't live without them. They have helped to strengthen my muscles and made orgasms better for myself and my husband when I have them.

When I first tried these out, they made me feel full and the balls felt heavy. After having my kids they still felt heavy but I discovered that as I worked with them doing the kegel exercises I started to notice them less. As I wore them around I didn't feel like they were going to slip out of me anymore.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

I find that it's easy to just wash these with warm water and soap. They are a little difficult to clean around the ribbing. I store it wrapped in a cloth with my other toys. I have never needed to use lubricant with this one but if needed a water based lubricant is best.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

I got these a long time ago so I can't really remember what the packaging looked like. I do remember that there were good instructions in there but those too are long gone.

Experience

These things have been a life saver for me, well at least a laundry saver. I didn't really like them before having my kids but now they are part of my daily routine. I love the way they feel inside and the way the weight moves around when I do. It's a fantastic stimulation. Not one that really gets me off but, pleasant. My husband likes how tight they have made me and I love not having to pee every 2 minutes or risk peeing all over the place.
Follow-up commentary
I still love these things, they are still comfy and work wonderfully. These things have lasted me a very long time and I hope they will last me a lot longer!

  • Have you tried these or something similar?
    • I'm curious to hear about how long (daily and over the long term) you wore them, and what the results were. Could you tell a difference?

I'll be interested to hear people's responses to this. My understanding is that they can be worn all day. But when I try to wear any toy for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 hours) I find that I get dry and the toy gets uncomfortable and I have to take it out.

As for telling a difference: I try to remember to do some Kegel exercises a few times a day, and I've noticed a difference since I started. Since these toys are a Kegel exerciser, I assume that if they do what they're meant to do, then yes, you would be able to tell a difference. These are at the top of my wishlist right now. Maybe I'll get them soon and I'll be able to give you an answer myself!
    • never tried them. Looks cool though

  • Choosing The Right Ben Wa Balls For Your Anatomy
    • So, this is a general question for all the women out there. I recently purchased Fun Factory's Smart balls Teneo Duo and they're my first set of ben wa balls. I spent quite some time analyzing the different types of ben wa balls and felt comfortable enough purchasing the ones from Fun Factory after the great reviews. Now that I've gotten them and tried them a few times, I'm sort of disappointed and left wondering if I'm doing something wrong (since many others seem to love them).

For me, the balls are very cumbersome to insert. The product isn't huge by any means. I own vibrators with a larger circumference than the Teneo Duo. Yet, everytime I've struggled to insert them (even with lube). Additionally, I can't feel any vibrations or movement. I know they're not necessarily supposed to be arousing. But, I literally can't feel anything. While, when I hold them in my hand and move them slightly, I can feel the movement without a problem. So. I'm looking for advice from any women out there.

Should I have started with smaller sized ben wa balls? Does the material of the balls make a difference in sensation (metal vs. silicone)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have both the original Smartballs and the Teneo Duo. I can offer some personal insight into one of your problems, and will take a stab in the dark at the other.

First, as to insertion, my stab in the dark is: are you using lube and inserting the balls one by one? This toy needs lubricant, as its silioone creates a lot of friction and "drag." I swab some lube on the top half of the first ball, and a little around the neck of the second. I also find the finger insertion grip to be useless for the first ball. You have to hold the first ball on its own and pop it in there, then use the finger grip for the second.

As to the vibrations, my personal experience is that I didn't feel them at all when I first started using the smartballs, but the sensation improved as my grip did. I didn't find that the vibrations stimulated involuntary muscle contractions or gave me a passive workout out of the box. I had to use them for a couple of weeks and do a lot of deliberate squeezing before the process got more automatic.

Your mileage may vary, as everyone's anatomy is different, but my advice would be to give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and see whether your opinion changes. I love mine now and feel that they provide a PC muscle workout that is superior to kegel exercises sans equipment.

      Hope this helps.

So the sensation improves over time? I've never been impressed by any balls, because I can't feel them. I think I'll take your advice and try to get some regular use out of mine so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

    • Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
    • Quote: Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
The regular smart balls are smaller in diameter and circumference. So pick which one you think would be more comfortable for you.
    • The Teneo Duo are also made out of silicone, while the regular Smartballs are made of Elastomed.
