A great little vibrator for beginners to sex toys, the Mini Pearlessence is unintimidating, easy-to-use, and fun too! Great for vaginal insertion, labia stimulation, or clitoral use, the Mini is everything that someone venturing into toys for the first time might need or want in their first toy! (It was for me!)

The Mini is perfect for people who are looking to experiment with clitoral stimulation, as it's strong, but not super intense.

It's also perfect for those nights where you just want to lay back in bed with a good book or movie, a glass of wine, a candle, and play around! It's classy and sleek, and a great addition to any and every collection! Be wary though, it does make some noise, so if you have little ears or nosy roommates that might walk by, your fun might not remain so discrete!

Such an easy-to-use and yet fairly versatile little toy was a great learning experience for my hubby and myself as we cautiously stepped onto the "playground", so to speak! And we were so thrilled, we haven't looked back!

The Mini is very smooth, with no texture at all. It has no smell to it, and no taste either. The lack of texture also makes it perfect for beginners, because it's easier to use without the added complexity of ridges, ticklers, etc. It's made of a hard plastic, completely rigid, with no bend whatsoever, and non-pliable.

Because the material is so smooth, it makes vaginal penetration easy and enjoyable for first-timers! (And even those who aren't!) Adding a little bit of lube can make the experience even easier for those who are perhaps nervous or on the drier side, or just at the start of setting the mood!

The Mini Pearlessence has a very basic vibrator/dildo design, and is about 4 to 4 1/2 inches long. Perfect for beginners wanting to try out vaginal penetration, and also for clitoral stimulation. Fairly phallic in design, it has a straight shaft that narrows to a rounded point at the top. Because of this, it'd be great for vaginal insertion, but not for g-spot stimulation.

As pretty as it is, the Mini is clear at a glance that it is a vibrator, so it's not terribly discrete, but very easy to hide. Its small size lends it toward quick and convenient storage in your bedside table drawer, in your sock drawer, or even your jewelry box!

This toy runs on 1 AA battery, has a turn-style dial on the end of it to turn it on and off, and to scroll through the levels of strength. Though, honestly, there really are only a couple of strength levels, low, and high. Like most, it's relatively quiet at low, and louder at high. It's not the quietest vibrator I've experienced, it has a good little buzz, but it's not going to echo through your house.

The majority of the vibrations are between the base, closest to the dial, and the middle of the vibrator, radiating out to the tip.

It's pretty easy to turn the dial, you can even just turn it with your thumb if you have it in your grip. It's very simple to work.

The battery is inserted by removing the black end at the base of it, which just screws on and off.

Even without the battery, it's got a small bit of weight to it -- but is by no means heavy -- and it's very sturdy, especially for the great price.

The toy is very easily cleaned, even with just soap and warm water. It's not porous, so it's not going to absorb anything. (But it is not water proof!) It can be easily sterilized and shared, so share and share-alike! As with all battery-operated toys, it's safest and best to remove the batteries after each use while it's being stored.

Don't be afraid to use silicone lubes with this toy, because it's all plastic, so it won't react to anything in it. And of course, water lubes work great with it too! (I promise! I've used my fair share with this little gem!)

The packaging is very basic plastic packaging, clear with a cardboard image behind the toy. It's not really the type of packaging you'd keep for storage, and it's definitely not discrete (if the albeit gorgeous, but half-naked lady on the picture was any suspicion, haha!) It is, however, easily small enough to fit into a medium-sized gift back, if you wanted to gift it.

You know, just like a first love, there's a special place in your heart for your first toy, and the Mini Pearlessence was mine. I even nicknamed "her" Kitty. (For any... number... of reasons!) A few years later, and it may not be the most complex, the most decorative, or even the most fancy, it is still the one that started me out in sex toys, and even after only a $7 "splurge" at the time, she still runs great, and treats me just as well as she did that first day. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
