Slender slim - traditional vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by Tuesday

Slender Slim 5 Function can be used for clitoral or internal stimulation. It's waterproof so it can be used in a bath or shower too. It's lightweight, so it will travel well too, as long as you're willing to keep the batteries separate from the vibrator.

Slender Slim is made from ABS plastic and has a shimmery, metallic coating that covers almost all of its surface. On the tip of the cap is the small silicone button used to control the vibrator. One small spot near the middle of the unit is missing the metallic coloring. It is smooth all over, including the dot where the metallic finish isn't present.

Slender Slim is hard, except for the softer, compressible silicone button on the end. It has no scent.

The Slender Slim vibrator is six and a quarter inches long. It is two and three eighths inches in circumference at the tip and widens ever so slightly to two and five eighths inches at the other end. The cap is the last half inch of the toy.

The control button isn't at the very end of the vibrator. Instead, it stylishly is a bit off to one side. The bronze coating ends in a wavy pattern on the cap end. Between the metallic part of the vibrator and the black silicone control button is a small silver area - a bit of added style.

There is a small white O-ring at the base of the threads on the cap to ensure that Slender Slim is waterproof. When you open it, you will see what looks like paper wrapped several times around on the inside. This is no doubt to keep the batteries firmly in position to reduce noise. There is no seam on this toy. It is completely hard and smooth.

It is easy to hold and manipulate. The surface provides just a little bit of drag against dry skin, which helps when you're trying to keep it in one spot while applying pressure.

The Slender Slim is powered by two AAA batteries. The packaging recommends removing them when the vibrator is not in use.

The vibrator does not behave like vibrators typically do. Instead of starting with a steady vibration pattern and moving to more elaborate patterns, it begins with a patterned vibration. It states it's a five function vibrator, but the functions are as follows:

1) pulsing, faster pulsing, then even faster pulsing
2) pulsing, steady vibration, faster pulsing, steady vibration
3) fast pulsing, steady vibration, pulsing, steady vibration -or- very fast pulsing
4) very fast pulsing -or- steady vibration
5) steady vibration
6) steady vibration, fast pulsing -or- off

Note that Slender Slim doesn't move through the same sequence of vibrations each time you use it. The more slowly you move through the vibration patterns, the more likely you are to see the first vibration pattern where two are listed. Move quickly through the patterns and you will observe the second pattern listed. Both steady vibration patterns are exactly the same. There is no adjustment of vibration strength in any of the patterns.

The vibrations are of moderate strength but are quality vibrations that feel excellent. It produces an average amount of noise. You will need music to be on to cover Slender Slim's sound if others are in the house.

Vibrations are concentrated at the very tip of the vibrator. They gradually decrease in strength as you move farther from the tip.

Slender Slim is an easy care product. It's waterproof so washing it is straightforward. Just wash with soap and water, then towel dry.

Any lubricant is safe to use with this product. Just be careful not to allow silicone lube to touch the silicone button. The packaging recommends using a water based lubricant.

It can be stored as it is, without a protective storage bag.

It is packaged in a clear plastic box covered with attractive circles and a plastic insert to hold it in place. There is no code to indicate what materials were used in the box, so the packaging is not recyclable.

Also included is a long, thin paper with basic instructions for battery insertion and warnings in a variety of languages. It resembles the inserts for prescription medication. It is not tailored for the Slender Slim 5 Function however. None of the pictures for battery insertion match this product, however it is not difficult to figure out how to insert the batteries.

Even though the vibrations are only of moderate strength, it's surprisingly enjoyable to use. Because the vibrations are strongest at the very tip and there is a fair amount of drag from its surface, it's easy to direct vibrations to the exact spot where they are most effective and to keep them there.

For internal use, the vibrations are quite effective for G-spot stimulation even though they're not particularly deep or strong. I have no explanation for that unexpected result.

If you use it for more than about ten minutes, you will notice that the tip becomes quite warm.
