Liberte - discreet vibrator by Extase - review by Mr. & Mrs. Peg

From box to buttons, there is nothing about the Extase Liberté that says anything but luxury. The heavy cardboard box looks like it should have an heirloom quality timepiece inside instead of a vibrator. Opening it reveals a sleek, shiny, sexy little object that is the Liberté, nested in a custom fit high-density foam rubber bed. On the side of the box is a silky ribbon that is used to pull out a little drawer that has the charger, a storage bag (in case you don't want to used the box), and the instructions for use, also in custom fit foam compartments.


The Extase Liberté is a tiny little vibrator. The total length of its sleek body is only four inches. The vibrating tip is about 3/4 of an inch in diameter. It's curved slightly, just like an index finger. The other end is about 1 and 3/16th inches in diameter. The Liberté fits very well in your hand if you lay your index finger over the vibrating tip and curl your thumb over the other end. When I did this, my thumb was right on top of one of the buttons, allowing me to control the vibrations easily while placing the tip over Mrs. Peg's clit.


The Liberté has seven different vibration modes (3 speeds / 4 pulses) which are controlled by a push button. An LED lights up around the button every time you change modes. Holding the button down for two seconds shuts the vibe off. The vibrations the Liberté produces are really powerful. I don't know where they are hiding the motor, but it is really hard to believe all this power is coming from this little toy. The escalating pulse modes are quite enjoyable. There is one mode that starts out low and thuddy and slowly increases to a constant hum before cycling back to low thuddiness. Mrs. Peg really got off on this setting.


There is an LED light on the non-vibrating end of the Liberté that remains lit while the toy is on. This is also the charge indicator. Charging the Liberté takes about two hours (after the initial charge). Inside is a lithium ion battery that allows you to charge it at any time without needed to worry about “charging memory.” Once charged, the manufacturer says the toy will run for 6 hours before needing another two hour charge. Pretty amazing.


The Liberté is made from Phthalate-free ABS plastic, and is “splash proof.” You can't submerge it, but it can handle getting wet. Cleaning the Liberté is super easy with soap and water.


Even with all these wonderful features, the Liberté has been relegated to a shelf in our closet. This is because this toy is LOUD, and Mrs. Peg really hates loud toys. She has a hard time getting into the experience when there is a loud buzzing in between her legs. This toy is also not what you want to reach for if you have roommates. However, if you can get over the noise (or don't mind wearing earplugs), this toy is impressive and is fully capable of delivering exquisite pleasure.

We still don't use this. The noise thing remains a problem. This is said with a HUGE caveat.....this is OUR OPINION, and ours alone. We are completely willing to accept that this may be a faulty item and others may not be this loud. This is our honest opinion, though, and we think you deserve to know how we really feel.
