These silicone spheres contain loose weights inside which roll and shake whenever your body moves, causing your muscles to contract (specifically your pelvic wall, your kegel muscle!), giving you a subconscious workout! You can also feel them inside you, nothing painful or bothersome, just a friendly reminder to flex your muscles, giving you even more of a workout. By strengthening your kegels, you can prevent or improve incontinence (which can be caused by multiple bladder infections, health complications, weak muscles, etc.) and improve the strength of your orgasms. Smartballs are made of 100% Pure silicone, and are of the highest quality, as one would expect from Fun Factory! The inner case that holds the weight is made from a hard plastic, which you can see on the outside in the recessed designs of the balls. There's subtle streaks and shapes on the balls themselves, I've found that the ridges can collect gunk pretty easily. Fortunately a quick wash in the sink after removal gets rid of it all, and since they're silicone, they can be sterilized and shared. I'm not sure if I'd recommend boiling these since there is air enclosed in the balls where the weights are, they could potentially expand and damage the toy if heated. But, a simple bleach solution or your preferred sterilizer will work just fine. The texture doesn't make them any harder to insert, nor do you notice it while they're inside. They're quite hard, but have a matte finish and velvety silicone texture that I love. The connector and retrieval loop are also silicone, strong but soft and stretchy. This means they conform to your body when you bend, and the retrieval loop is never uncomfortable or in the way. There is no odor straight out of the package, nor do they pick up odor after use, however I'd recommend rinsing them in the sink before you insert them for the first time since they do come stored in a plastic clamshell case. If you've ever tasted silicone, it tastes like nothing. Not that these are intended do go in your mouth, but, you safely can!

The design of these is beautiful. They're pretty, yet odd looking, discreet, and small enough to store easily. I've found that they fit perfectly in those mini Crown Royal bags! They don't pick up lint easily, you could store them in a makeup bag, purse, even your pocket without much worry. They're pretty sturdy, I can't imagine someone breaking them unless they forcibly pulled apart the balls. They're a bit odd looking, if I didn't already know what kegel balls were I'd have no clue what they were meant for! One might guess odd looking anal beads, or some sort of bizarre hand exerciser, it's pretty safe to just throw these in a bag and not worry if people see them. Even if they know what they are, there's no reason to be ashamed of exercising!

The shape is basically 2 balls connected by a thin bridge and a long loop attached to one end, with a finger shaped indent on the bottom ball to allow for easier insertion. They're slightly awkward to insert and remove, but you get use to it pretty quick. Make sure to apply a little bit of lube to them, you'll never get them in dry unless you're already wet! Best do this in the bathroom, sometimes if you use too much lube, it can collect around the bridge area and splash out when you remove them, they literally "pop" out when you tug on the retrieval loop.

For me, these are the perfect size. They insert decently easily, they stay in, and aren't uncomfortable in any position. However, I've heard of these being too large for some! If you're on the smaller/tighter side, you may be better off with the Teneo Uno. I personally know that I can take more than that, so I went straight for the Duo with no problems. If you're unsure, try the Uno first, then try the Duo if you feel like you can take more (double, really), they are more of a workout too, so decide how intense of a workout you want.

These are easy to pop in before leaving the house, before a walk, before work, any time where you know you're going to be moving around. After just a week of use, I was starting to see a difference. Though I haven't had these long, I can imagine that after several months of semi-regular use, my kegels would be killer! They're silent and completely invisible when in use, no one will ever know you've got them in. I got these because I've had urinary problems in the past, and was terrified of becoming incontinent, these have completely rid me of that fear. I also would love to get a strapless strap on, and you definitely need good kegels to keep them in place. I'd highly recommend these for anyone looking for a kegel exerciser that doesn't want to take time out of their day to do so. These are painless, nearly effortless, and can be used all day!

Smartballs are pure silicone and can be easily cleaned with soap and water or your choice of disinfectant solutions. A quick rinse under hot water and a light scrub will get them nice and clean, since nothing sticks to the surface, then you can throw them back in storage. I keep mine in a mini Crown Royal bag for safe keeping. Silicone is compatible with water based lubes ONLY, silicone or oil based can damage them. They come with a sample of water based lubricant that's perfect for throwing in your bag. You'll need a little bit to insert them (it's impossible dry), so throw a few sample packs or a small bottle in with your Smartballs. Other than that, they're extremely low maintenance and quite sturdy! I'm not scared of breaking/ripping these at all, you could probably throw them against a wall without any problems!

The Smartballs Teneo Duo packaging is some of the most impressively designed sex product packaging I've ever seen. I'm a tad of a design geek, and this box really got me going. It's a sleek silver cardboard box with a magnetically closed flap on the front with information about the product inside, revealing a window showing the clamshell plastic case that the Smartballs come in. The cover shows a lovely illustration of the product, with information all around the box. If you have the room for it, I'd recommend keeping the package for storage, it's quite nice and sturdy! There's instructions on the box, it's pretty straightforward. Insert them, and go! They would make a wonderful gift, especially with this fancy packaging, plus they're rather inexpensive for the quality!

If English isn't your best language (or the person you're gifting them to), no fear, an instruction packet inside has it all written out in a number of different languages. Not that someone couldn't figure them out on their own with just the pictures, they're pretty straight forward!
