What is Ami?
Ami is a vaginal exerciser
made to tone PC muscles which control urine flow and vaginal tightness. A toned set of PC muscles can help ease childbirth, make vaginal orgasms stronger and more enjoyable for both partners. Ami has 3 varying weighted beads that are designed to be used by beginners and more advanced users alike. Ami 1 is where beginners should start while Ami 2 and Ami 3 can be enjoyed by more intermediate & advanced users. Each bead has an attached retrieval cord to aid in removing them but shouldn't be used anally.
What is Ami made of?
Each bead is made of 100% silicone and ABS plastic which are both phthalate and latex free. I must say that Je Joue has the silkiest silicone that I have ever come across. It's virtually drag free and so squishy which makes it so easy to use for extended wear. The beads are completely smooth which I prefer for anything that I will wear for hours at a time. Ami has no smell or taste.
I did notice only after reading a few reviews that the silicone is not glued to the weighted bead. It doesn't feel uncomfortable during use. However I did notice that sometimes liquids can get between the silicone and weighted beads. Also Ami 1 is the softest bead since the silicone layer is thicker. Next is Ami 2 and Ami 3 is the most firm since it has the thinnest layer of silicone.
What does Ami look like & how do I use them?
Ami 1 is the single & largest bead but also the lightest. It measures 1.5" long without the retrieval cord, 1.5" across and weighs 1.9oz. Ami 1 is meant for beginners and is what beginners should start with. More advanced users feel free to use this to provide a fuller feeling during solo sessions. With Ami 1 if it is worn you may feel the weighted ball move around but it will not be heard. Its weight does move the most inside the bead than the rest.
Ami 2 is a double bead that is slightly thinner than Ami 1 & heavier. It measures 3.14" long without the retrieval cord, 1.25" across & weighs 2.5oz. Ami 2 is for more intermediate users but can also be used by advanced users. It provides a full feeling but not as much as Ami 1. When worn you will know it's there but since its thinner you may not notice it all the time. The weighted ball inside of Ami 2 does move around when in use but you cannot hear it. Its weighted bead doesn't move around as much as Ami 1.
Ami 3 is a double bead & the smallest but heaviest. It measures 2 3/4" long without the retrieval cord, 1 1/8" across & weighs 3.5oz. Ami 3 is designed with more advanced users with more toned PC muscles. It will be the hardest to keep inside since it's heavier & smaller in size. Even though it's not a larger bead it does make itself known since it's heavier & firmer than the others. The weighted beads inside of Ami 3 don't move around as much even when it's not worn.
How do I care for my Ami?
Since Ami is 100% silicone I wouldn't use it with silicone lubes. To clean them you can places them in warm soapy water for a few seconds then rinse them. I lay mine on a lint free towel to dry before storing them in the original packaging. Make sure you don't store them too close since silicone can react with each other & damage your toys.
What does the packaging look like?
Ami comes in Je Joue's classic & beautiful black cardboard box that has Je Joue printed on the top. The black box comes inside of a classic Je Joue purple box with a few details (in a few languages) & pictures of Ami. The black box opens by untying the satin ribbon. Each bead has its own place & has their names above the spaces so you know where they go. There is also a place to tuck the retrieval cords.
Underneath the black plastic where the beads sit is the manual that came with it. Inside the manual you find a few basic exercises as well as the measurements. These instructions come in a few different languages.
I find that the black box is very discreet but the purple box it comes in isn't due to it having pictures of Ami on it. Even the beads are discreet to me since you don't think sexual devices when you see them.

Experience
When I first got my set I started with Ami 1 which is the largest and lightest single bead. Right away I lubed it up after washing it and slowly inserted it. It took a small amount of force since my opening is narrower but it was not uncomfortable. Once it was inserted I began to do 5 second kegels where I gripped the bead. Once that became too easy I sat at the edge of the bed and started to use my pointer finger to gently pull on Ami 1. I quickly realized this was too easy so I moved on to Ami 2.
Since Ami 2 is a bit smaller and have two beaded weights I figured it would provide more of a challenge for me. I lubed Ami 2 up and went right to work with 10 second kegels while gently pulling on the retrieval cord. It took a bit more strength to keep Ami in and I knew it was because my muscles had lost some strength. I walked around with it in while doing the dishes and even when I went couponing. Within 4 days I noticed Ami 2 was becoming easy for me.
I decided to try Ami 3 which is the smallest but the heaviest double bead. Since it smaller and heavier it takes a lot more strength to keep in. I took it easier when inserting Ami 3 since it is also the firmest bead in the set. Once I inserted it I realized my muscles could hold it without me having to clinch like when I attempted to use it on day 1. I usually do 10 or 15 second kegels with Ami 3.
I personally feel that Ami 2 and Ami 3 are my favorite. Ami 2 is what I use when I want to tone but don't want a big challenge. Ami 3 is what I go for when I'm feeling a little looser than I would like. Ami 1 is what I use when I masturbate and want light fullness when I'm using my clitoral vibrator.
I so regret NOT getting this set sooner. I have noticed a huge improvement in the strength of my orgasms and how often I have to urinate. Since frequent urination was the biggest issue for me and why I got this kit I would say this set is my holy grail!

TearraOkay so ive never tried kegel exercisers and im debating on weather i should get the je joue Ami exerciser set or the luna pleasure beads by Lelo..So can anybody who has experienced the both of these too items help me choose wich one would the best.

There's actually a few different options. I do wear them during my daily routine. I don't ignore them, however. Their weight and presence inside me and the fact that I can feel the internal balls rolling around inside them reminds me to do my kegels. I use my muscles to pull them deeper inside me and adjust them if they slip or something. The instruction booklet they come with has instructions for a few different series of exercise routines you can do with them too. I'm very pleased with mine.

You can insert them and forget them, but they aren't as effective (if effective at all). You should use them as a reminder to do Kegels and the added weight should make them more productive.

I'm very curious about kegel exerciesers and it seems that many people think the ami from je joule is a really good option. However my roomate says it hasn't been in stock every since she got an eden acount and I havn't seen it in stock for awhile. Does anyone know when it will come back?

You can always set an alert to be notified when it comes back into stock, submit a support ticket to ask customer service, or send JR a message and he can look into it. That's what I would do. :)

I'm quite fond of my Luna beads. You can adjust the weight of them to fit your needs and graduate up, similar to how Ami comes with three different sets. Just instead of three whole sets it's customizable.

Interesting to hear that it helped with frequent urination, its something I experience too and I would never have thought to try anything like this for it, might just have to invest in a set like this and see
I read so many posts on livejournal and other places and most people had help from benwa balls but I don't like the idea of them. I researched and found Ami and I trully love it. I think I go less than 2 times every few housrs now instead of 4 every hour. Let me know if you try it and if it helps.
