The Joyballs Secret is used as a way to increase the strength of your vaginal muscles. The first thing that comes to mind when I think about working out the kegel muscle is ben wa balls. The Joyballs use the latest technology and the concept of the ben wa balls to help maximize strength within the targeted muscles. Most women have some sort of interest in this as stronger muscles can help enhance orgasms during masturbation and intercourse.

The balls are great for stimulation because the inner balls move around and create a vibration that can be felt within the vagina which the box refers to as the trampoline effect. They can be used solo or with a partner and can be worn without anyone even knowing. Outside of the body the inner balls make a low vibrating noise but when worn can not be heard. I would recommend using these only for vaginal use although they can be used in the vagina during anal sex. A small packet of Aqua glide lubrication is conveniently included. It did come in handy as I did require lubrication to insert the balls.

The Joyballs are made out of silicone that rates a 10 out of 10 on the material safety scale. Silicone is a great toy material because it is not porous and can be completely disinfected unlike some other materials. The balls have a smooth velvety finish. They are also hypo-allergenic, latex free and phthalates free. I did not detect any odor from the balls even out of the packaging which I found pleasantly surprising.

The balls themselves are not very flexible but the black harness piece that is used to keep the balls attached to one another is extremely flexible. It can actually be folded almost in half so that the balls are touching. I think this is used to provide maximum enjoyment for different body types.

The overall design of this toy is what actually peaked my interest in it. I have tried others that have individual balls that are inserted and retrieved separately and others that are attached by retrieval strings. This set took the best qualities of those other products and combined it to make a great toy.

The size of the balls did not work well for me. The length of the toy is 4 1/2" long. The balls themselves are about 4 1/2" wide. I found that insertion was the biggest problem for me. For starters, I had to use the lubrication if they were going anywhere. During the insertion process I found that they just would not go in correctly. The flexibility of the toy made it difficult for them to be pushed inside the vagina at the right angle. Once I was able to get them in I wasn't able to do much of anything else because they kept sliding back out. I finally took them out after realizing that they were giving me the feeling that I had to relieve my bladder.

At the base of the balls they have a hook type retrieval device that allows retrieval to be quite simple. This piece did create some difficulties for me. It could be felt in the vagina and gave me a constant uncomfortable feeling.

This toy could be discreet for travel since they can be worn in public without anyone knowing. If they are placed in a bag as opposed to being worn they would be noticeable especially if you will be flying and someone searched through your luggage.

The Joyballs are available in 6 color options. They all share the same black color harnessing but the balls color will vary depending on which you choose. They are available in black, pink, violet, red, blue and green. I have the black option.

I really liked the retrieval type hook on the balls but found it to be extremely uncomfortable. During use that portion of the toy could be felt internally especially when moving around and standing. The vibrations of the balls moving around are not very intense. They are strong enough to be felt but not really heard. The vibrations didn't do much for me but it really depends on your own personal preference. It really just gave me the feeling of having to pee.

Silicone is an easy material to care for. There are many ways it can be washed. I typically use warm water and an antibacterial soap but you can also boil it for 3 minutes, place it on the top rack of your dishwasher using no soap or use a 10% bleach solution. I usually like to let them air dry whenever possible because they pick up lint and dust very easly. For this same reason I always like to make sure I clean the toy before using it as well.

To store the Joyballs I simply place them in the silver pouch that came included in the package and then place it in a drawer. It is also possible to save the box that it was packaged in but it was a little bulky so I chose not to keep it.



Water based lubrication is best for the Joyballs. A small packet of Aqua glide lubrication is included. Here is a list of ingredients in the lubrication. They are aqua, glycerin, hydroxyethylcellulose, and sodium methylparaben. I typically suggest researching the ingredients so you will know what is the best kind for you to use.

The toy is packaged in a shiny black box with a peek a boo window allowing you to see the toy without opening it. The balls are actually sandwiched between two pieces of plastic inside of the box. A storage pouch and packet of lubrication is also included. An informational packet is included that explains how to insert and clean the balls. The packaging is not very discreet but could be saved to be used for storage. I prefer to use the included pouch and tossed the box and plastic.

In the past I had some interest in ben wa balls and kegal exercisers so when I saw this version I knew that I had to try them. They seemed to be made out of the best material I've tried so far with glass being the only exception. I've even tried them with and without retrieval strings. I've never really found one that I really liked and would continue to reuse. The Joyballs fell into the same category. I never felt comfortable with them in so I couldn't find any sort of routine to wearing them. They were easy to insert with lubrication and easy to retrieve which was helpful. The biggest problem I had was keeping them inserted especially while moving around.
