Let's be clear: this is not your everyday dildo. EF classifies it as an anal probe, but that's only because there's no category for "oversized barbell jewelry" or "heat-seeking, spot-finding missile".

The Njoy Pure Wand arrives in a black case with "njoy" printed on the lid in silver. Inside it is lined with magenta satin type fabric over a styrofoam cut out where the Pure Wand can rest securely. There are elastic bands at each inside corner of the lid and a little product info booklet. Overall, it is well thought out presentation, and also great for storage.

The material is gorgeous, surgical quality stainless steel. While it's nice to just marvel at the brilliant mirror finish, steel has great functional value due to the fact that it is nonporous, easy to sterilize and share, and practically impossible to break. Not only that, but 316 grade steel won't tarnish after use if not cleaned immediately. So after enjoying it to the point of exhaustion, upkeep can be left for later (though not never) and the finish will be just as beautiful as before. It can be cleaned by boiling, wiping with diluted bleach, a soapless dishwasher cycle, or autoclaving. There is a small Njoy logo on the inside center of the shaft, not raised enough to be felt during use.

Although it weighs only 24 ounces, just holding it in your hand is enough to convey what a substantial instrument this is. It isn't heavy so much as it is hefty. It is easy to hold and manipulate without getting tired, but the weight does lend an intensity when dealing with highly sensitive areas. The unyielding hardness plus the weight makes it so that even slight movement resonates much deeper into nerves and muscle tissue. Hands can quickly warm it up, and it will retain warm or cold temperatures for sensation play. Just resist the urge to freeze it and then stick your tongue on it.

The unique shape is really what sets the Pure Wand apart from the pack. The seamless shaft has a drastic curve and a smooth ball on each end, with a diameter of 1" on one and 1.5" on the other. The balls curve inward towards the shaft, contributing to the wand's primary purpose: direct, intense G-spot and P-spot stimulation. So far, no matter the body shape, it has proven apt at zeroing in on G-spots (can't speak to P-spots) like a laser beam. The two differently sized ends make it a very accessible toy for beginners and still capable of satisfying for those who need a little more "umph" in their play. The smaller ball is by far the smoothest insertion toy I've ever used. Very little lube (sometimes none) is usually needed with the smaller ball, but you can use any type you like.

Take great care when using steel, as it can cause injury if used with too much force. This is not an item that you should thrust with abandon, especially if you're using it on another person. Rocking it back and forth or using subtle stroking motions has produced good results. It's rare that I have to insert very much of the wand's total length, it's been most effective with just the ball and a few inches inside.

When forming expectations about the Pure Wand, it's important to realize that it was designed for one very specific purpose. Although I love versatile toys, not every toy is a jack of all trades, and some toys that try to do everything end up doing none of it very well. This is not the toy that will give most people that super filled up feeling, or that fast and hard friction. This is a toy that does it's one job very very well. I like to mix it with other toys for a comprehensive session. It is a great ringer to bring in after the first or second orgasm.

As far as discretion, the Pure Wand has more than most. You could display it on a shelf and use it as a litmus tests for guests. The uninitiated might not realize what it's for. It's travel friendly (as long as you can stand to add an extra pound and a half in your luggage) and very hard to damage. I'm paranoid about scratches, so I wrap it in something if I transport it without the case.
