Apparently Size Doesn't Always Matter

The Bimini Ocean is a silicone mini dual stimulator vibe that is multi-function, powerful and BAD-ASS. I love the fact that it can be fully submerged and that it feels awesome in more ways than one. It's versatile, low maintenance and is rechargeable. I wouldn't have thought such a mini could rock my world, but apparently size doesn't always matter.

Use

Fun Factory make some pretty cool toys and this little guy was no exception. The Bimini ocean is a dual stimulation vibe that can be used for clit and g-spot stimulation simultaneously. I love using this vibe when alone, but my partner and I have used it together a few times for foreplay with awesome results. This is a smaller and shorter vibe, so the motors are closer together which enabled me to use it for clit and external anal stimulation simultaneously too. Since this vibe is non-porous it can be fully disinfected after using it or you could use a toy cover. I just disinfected it. The Ocean would be great for anyone really. It has very intense vibrations on the high setting that would make it adequate for the power whore (me!). Since it is smaller and offers variable speeds it is definitely ideal for a beginner or as a first rabbit.

Material / Texture

The Bimini Ocean is made of 100% silicone giving it a 10 for a safety rating and some pretty cool properties. Waterproof silicone toys like this one can be soaked in warm water before use and it will retain its warmth for use fairly well. I tried this and it really works. It is non-porous so it will not absorb any fluid and due to it being waterproof it can be soaked in a 10% bleach solution to sterilize. It's hypoallergenic and phalates free so overall for some this is a very safe and ideal material for a toy. It's definitely my favorite. The Ocean has a very soft, velvety texture to it and it has the perfect amount of flexibility. I simply love the luxurious feel of this vibe. Another silicone plus is the lack of smell - it had no odor to me whatsoever.

Design / Shape / Size

The Ocean by design is bad-ass! This is a dual stimulation vibe with a motor in the center of the vibe that is slightly closer to the rounded end of the g-spot stimulator. Its shape is lovely in my opinion because it hits my clit perfectly and the slight curve of the shaft make it great for thrusting while still providing that much needed clit stimulation. The size is definitely mini but for me with the curve and the rounded tip this vibe still was awesome due to the shape and design. Its insertable length is 3" and it is 1 1/4" in diameter. Small yes, unsatisfying for me, absolutely not. I love this vibe. It's perfect for someone that is more "shallow" and/or does not need a huge insertable to get off. I like my toys to be larger in size most of the time, but the curved shape and rounded tip with the ideal placement of the clit nub just do it for me with this one.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Bimini Ocean has nine vibrations speeds and three different pulsation rhythms. The control is on the backside of the vibe near the plastic base and took me a minute to figure out, but once I did I fell in love. There is a plus sign and a minus sign. Hold the plus sign in for more than a second and the vibe turns on to its lowest setting. To increase the speed just press the plus button. To turn on the pulsation function just get the vibe to max vibration and then hold the plus button for a slow pulsation, then tap it again to get medium and once more for the fast pulsation. To get it back to just vibration just tap the minus button. To turn the vibe off hold down the minus button and it will go back to the lowest vibration setting, then press minus once more and it's off. The performance is great. The lowest vibration setting is too weak for me, but the other eight are awesome. The higher settings are knock your socks off intense. Due to the fact that the motor is more toward the g-spot stimulator the vibrations are more intense in that end, but do travel extremely well throughout this toy and very well into the clit stimulator. The toy is pretty noisy on the highest settings, but it is not obnoxious - I've had louder toys anyway. The Ocean is totally waterproof and does very well in the shower. It can be submerged and still function properly which is awesome. One of the best things about this vibe is the fact that it is rechargeable. It comes with a magnetic charger that clicks onto the plastic base on the bottom of the toy. The base and charger both say FUN on them and to charge just place the side of the charger with the two magnets on the FUN on the toy and the FUN on the charger will light up when aligned properly. It has to be in the right position though, the charging piece can be bumped easily and it would not be charging anymore. I set mine against something when it's charging so that the charger for sure will not be knocked out of position. When it's fully charged the FUN light will go off. When you first get the Ocean it is supposed to be charged for a full six hours (felt like freakin' ever!) and then you're good to go. The battery has lasted for multiple uses without recharging, but after three sessions or so I've been throwing it back onto the charger until it's fully charged again.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is extremely easy to clean. Since it is able to be fully submerged I wash it really well in the sink with warm water and soap, then I towel dry it. It can't be boiled to sterilize because it has a motor, but as previously mentioned it can be soaked in a 1/10 bleach/water solution instead for sterilization. Very easy to store, it's small and it just goes in my toybox. The Ocean isn't a total lint and fuzz magnet like other silicone vibes can be. I use a flavored water based lube with mine, since it is silicone a water based lube is definitely the only way to go. Love this low maintenance vibe.
BAD-ASS totally submergable - makes cleaning a breeze!

Packaging

Fun factory packaging is cute. It came in a silver box with an open front. The box has a magnetic closure (my BF stole the magnets off this box too like my other fun factory box) and is made out of cardboard. The vibe and charger come in hard disposable plastic which I recycled. I recycled the box too since it's really not good for storage. There were some instructions on the box, but it did come with an instruction pamphlet too which was informative and useful. It actually tells you to not puncture your vibe or throw it into a fire which kind of made me giggle, but they really cover their bases when giving you the do's and don'ts of this vibe.

Follow-up commentary
This was one of the best purchases I have made on this site. My bimini is rechargeable, submergeable and is just flat out awesome. This vibe is very versatile, has many different functions and is STRONG. Despite the fact that it can be a bit noisy on it's highest setting it is one of my favorite vibes. It cleans easily, I never have to fuss with batteries and it is so fun for partner play too. I should have gotten the blue one in hindsight, I do find that one to be a bit prettier but in all honesty who gives a damn what color it is if it can rock your world like this vibe can. Definitely a keeper.

    • Has anyone had problems with the magnetic charger?
    • I have another Click-n-Charge toy and I haven't had any problems.
    • I have problems getting the click-n-charge charger on my paul/paulina to stay in place, but I've never tried with the Bimini Ocean.

    • I just received one of these today.

Charging seemed easy enough to just magnet it to charge. The light was a bit finicky but I set it up so it was always on. It has been like that for a few hours and I still can't turn the toy on...anyone else have problems?

Adriana I read your review (: link), and it seems I did what you did. Any suggestions?
    • I have the Spring and bubbles and have never had any problems once I get the magnet situated so it stays connected.

Both turn on as soon as I press (and hold a bit) the up/on button.

Do they turn on when attached to the cord as well? I can't get it to turn on AT ALL.
