Mesh chemise with lace back - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Library Girl

I thought this chemise set looked charming in the photos and made the model look very sexy. It also looked like an item that could accentuate what slight hips I have as I am rather boyish in figure. However it unfortunately also accentuated every figure flaw I have and put it on display to negative effect. The clingy look that the model has will be emphasized if you have any extra weight on you at all. You can loosen the chemise using the lace up feature on the back, but as "one size fits most" this item is definitely erring on the size of snug for most of the population. This would not suit larger figures at all! Even the thong was cut narrow and barely covers the pubic area.

The chemise is an opaque black stretchy material with a ribbon accent on the front to match the lacing on the back. It is tube cut with no extra support for the breasts. The straps are a stretch lace which is also along the slit in the back and is edged with material through which the ribbon is run. The opaque material is of a decent quality with scalloping detail along the bottom. The stretch lace is of a lesser quality and is less appealing to me. The thong is a basic thong with elastic straps. It does not adjust.

If you have no body image issues this might work fine, but for me it just made my boobs look flat and emphasized my stomach in the most unflattering way no matter how much I loosened the back. I wasn't even that comfortable with the fit of the thong. Unless you have a figure like that of the model on the box, I would look elsewhere for a moderately priced chemise set.

I tried this item on twice but never got up the nerve to wear it for my boyfriend. I couldn't get past how it fit and made me feel fat and unattractive. Now sometimes he gets distracted and doesn't notice the little details like I do, but if something doesn't put you in the mood it's not doing it's job. So it didn't get the full treatment to write on the experience, so instead I am writing about the lack thereof.

I ended up trashing the chemise, keeping the ribbon for giftwrapping, and stashing the g-string in case I could use it for another outfit.
