Baby, What's Your Sign?

This toy has its downfalls, but overall it's a useful addition to alone time. Its powerful strength and high quality material almost totally make up for its strange shape/design. Beginners and power queens alike will surely enjoy this, if you can put up with its few flaws. It is a great toy to use, and even if you get it at full price, I can say that you will be getting your money's worth. It makes a great gift to yourself or the Virgo in your life.

Use

This vibrator is best used externally, in my opinion. I used it vaginally, but it just wasn't as great of an experience. It didn't hit my G-spot and the vibrations didn't feel that strong. Then again, it takes a truly impressive toy to stimulate me internally, so I might be biased. I would not recommend using this anally, as there is no flared base.

This toy works best for me when laying on my stomach with the "boobs" part pressed against my clit. Because it has sort of an awkward design and the motor is located halfway up the toy, you might have to try some different positions in order to find one that gives you the most pleasure out of it.

In addition, this toy is probably more suited for masturbation use and alone time. I suppose you could use it to provide clit stimulation during intercourse, but it seems like it would be more of a hassle and get in the way.

A downside - this toy is NOT waterproof, so don't even think about taking it with you in the shower. But as a bonus, it is very well suited to people who live with roommates/family members, have thin walls, don't want the neighbors to hear, or just don't like noisy vibrators. The sound is quiet and discreet, and can't be heard through a closed door. (I'll elaborate a bit more later.)

Material / Texture

The material is 100% silicone, which makes it one of the safest materials out there. Just remember that it is not compatible with silicone lubes. The texture is smooth, and slightly squishy. There is a very very light smell, but you can only smell it if you put your nose right up to it - so it's not noticeable or unpleasant. The top half is also very flexible.

Unfortunately, the material also easily attracts lint, dirt, hair, etc. I set it down on my bed and it managed to pick up pieces of lint and hair that I hadn't noticed.

Overall though, this is my first silicone toy, and I was highly impressed. The material feels very high quality, and I'll definitely be looking for this material in future toys.

Design / Shape / Size

I didn't particularly care for the design and shape of it. It's basically designed like a woman's body - complete with face, boobs, and butt. This made it a little awkward to use. However, this (as opposed to a very realistic-looking penis-shaped dildo/vibrator) also made it more discreetly designed. I'm sure you could figure out what it was, but it doesn't scream "VIBRATOR!" at first glance. If I didn't know what it was, I would probably think it was something like a figurine/statuette at first. I also thought it was a very pretty color - it's a nice shade of light green.

The size of this toy is 7 inches, with 6 1/4" being insertable. The top "head" part is rounded and skinny, but it widens at the "boobs" and is much thicker after that. The girth is probably more than most beginners would want, but it's not insanely large. I am very tight, so it took a lot of lube and patience to get past the "boobs" part of the toy. For this reason, I'd suggest that if you're going to use this vaginally, this wouldn't be a very good first toy.

This toy also bulges out at various spots. There's a small slit at the top, then it bulges out for the face and boobs. Toward the bottom, there's a butt on the back, which sticks out slightly. I don't really like how there are a few nooks and crannies that seem like they can trap dirt/bacteria more easily.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations in this toy seem to be coming from somewhere around the middle. They felt strongest around the "boob" area - so that's where I would suggest focusing. As I said before, the best use of it, in my opinion, would be using it externally, on your clitoris or other erogenous areas. It can be used vaginally, but it didn't hit my G-spot that way, despite the flexible head. Your mileage may vary.

The vibrations were adjusted by a little knob on the bottom, that doubles as a battery cap. Twist it to the left, and you pop the battery cap off. Twist it to the right, and you turn the vibrations on. It was easy to use. This toy takes two AA batteries, which was nice because they're extremely cheap and easy to find. The batteries lasted for several long sessions - so I'd say it has an average to slightly above average battery life.

As I said before, this toy is quiet and discreet. If someone was in the same room as you, they would probably be able to hear it. But I did a "sound test" - getting quiet toys is important to me, because I live with family, I have somewhat thin walls, and I definitely don't want anyone to be able to hear and know what I'm doing. So I took the vibrator, turned it up all the way, set it on top of my bed (not muffled by any blankets), and left the room. I went into the other room, and could not hear anything, even when I was straining to hear. I even pressed my ear up against my bedroom door, listening very hard, and could barely hear anything. Again, this was at full blast, and not covered by a blanket or anything. So, this is great if you're trying to be discreet.

The power on this thing is great, especially for something that's so quiet. There are several speeds (I counted 5 or 6 variations), and even at it's lowest setting it's pretty strong. At its highest, it will make you say "HOLY SHIT!" I know it can make me come in under two minutes, which is a pretty big accomplishment. This is a powerful toy, but not SO strong that it's off-putting for beginners.

Sadly, it was not waterproof, which is one of this toy's downfalls. I'd really like to be able to use it in the tub or shower. But it works so well on dry land that it's not that disappointing.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is easy to clean. You simply twist off the battery cap, take the batteries out, and wash the outside with soap and water, or antibacterial toy cleaner. Do not boil it or run in the dishwasher like you would be able to with other silicone toys - it's not waterproof, so that could seriously damage it. In addition, when you're washing it, be careful to only get the outside of the toy, and not get any water inside the battery compartment. Try to take extra time to clean the little crevices, such as the slit on the top and around the face/boobs area.

Storage is pretty easy. It's fairly long and wide, but no bigger or bulkier than the average toy, so you could store it anywhere pretty easily. I prefer in a lingerie drawer, it's easily concealable. However, like I said before, it picks up lint and hair, so you should either store it in its original box, in a special toy bag or box, or just in a plastic bag like I do.

Packaging

I was actually rather impressed with the packaging. It was rather sleek and discreet. The front read "ASTROVIBES" and had "Love yourself!" then the Fun Factory logo. So, not exactly blaring out the intended purpose. It had a little magnetic clasp, and when you opened it, the inside of the box listed the functions, design, uses, and such in four different languages. It was made in Germany, so German is the primary language on it. On one hand, the descriptions of how high-quality, quiet, safe, easy to use and clean, etc. that it was on the inside of the box made me excited to use the toy. On the other hand, it sounded more like an advertisement and not quite as informative as it could be. I did like the design of the packaging - I could describe it as sophisticated and higher quality than the typical toy. I suppose you could use it for storage of your toy, but it doesn't seem designed for that.

The package also came with a small sample pack of "toy fluid" lube, which was nice. Unfortunately, I checked it and it was already long since expired. :( So I had to throw that out. I don't know if that was a one-time fluke, but I would definitely suggest checking the expiration date before you open it. It also came with a small, colorful booklet of other Fun Factory products, which I liked.

Personal comments

I have really enjoyed this toy, although I kind of wish now that I had bought a different design from the "Astrovibes" line. Regardless, it makes me get off and would probably leave the average use happy and satisfied. I know that I will certainly be buying from Fun Factory in the future.
Follow-up commentary
I haven't used this toy that much since acquiring a Fairy Wand (highly recommended, btw, I'll write a review on that later). I really like powerful vibrators, and in a way, I felt like I was settling for less. BUT, after using this again recently and still being able to come quickly and satisfied, I felt bad for neglecting it. It's especially nice to have it to use when there are other people home and I don't want to alert the whole house that I'm masturbating. I still almost never use it internally, but for a quick, happy orgasm, the Virgo is a nice choice.

Thanks guys! Glad I could help! And I'm an Aquarius, but I liked this too

Femme Mystique, it is, which is one of my problems with it - but if you can look past that, it is quite a good toy.

Thanks for the review. Don't think it will work well for me internally either. I'm getting it as a free gift and might end up gifting it to a friend.
