The first thing to keep in mind is that the minimum speed on this vibe is very high - it goes from zero to sixty in an instant. While other reviewers have expressed pleasant surprise at kind of power from a battery-operated vibrator, we didn't much care for the intensity, as extended use resulted in somewhat of a numb effect. For others, this might be different. The dial-base (which usually takes two hands to operate) offers a continuous range of vibration between powerful and very, very intense. Compared to push-buttons, this could be a pleasant surprise, as it can be varied at will without scrolling through the other settings. Other reviewers have experienced deterioration as the batteries drain - do your research. In other respects, I doubt it would break.

The toy clearly lends itself better to insertion than clitoral stimulation. The small, rounded tip is easy to place, but the vibrations there are too intense ... conversely, the other bloops are too large. Since it's made completely of plastic, there are lots of ways to clean it - use a toy cleaner, rubbing alcohol, or just go for soap and water (running water won't damage its workings). The design is thin and non-threatening for beginners, and it is relatively easy for another person to handle. No texture, just smooth contoured plastic - in other words, it's not boring, but it's not exciting either. As a material, it's rigid and unyielding, and as one might expect, it does not conduct heat.

Sharing a room with someone else? No need to find an inconspicuous place to charge it - this vibe runs on batteries. Having lived in dorm rooms for a while now, we're fairly skilled at stealthy sex. While using this, we kept shooting paranoid glances at the door and wondering if our poor floormates had noticed! The Turbo Glider creates enough noise to be heard outside of a closed door if the place is otherwise silent, and of this we were well aware. Underneath a comforter cover, we managed to enjoy relative secrecy, but vibration-conducting plastic is not the material you want if you are worried about being discovered in the act. Again, for some, this might not be as much of an issue - and using it in a shower usually masks the sound.

As for our recommendation? While you can't beat the price, don't assume this will be the be-all and end-all of vibrators. If you don't think rigid plastic will feel right, pass this one up and invest in silicone, which heats up when held instead of feeling cold and tends to be more flexible than plastic. It comes down to personal preference, but I have opted to move on to a quieter, softer, warmer, equally waterproof silicone vibe. We've never looked back.
