Enchanted Crystal is rated 8 on Eden's safety scale and is made out of ABS plastic. It is made out of food-grade material, is hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. The crystal end of the ball is hard to the touch, and the handle and other ball has a smooth, velvety touch. The middle handle part has ridges on it for a better grip. The texture itself does not add any stimulation for my clit. Upon removing it from its small carrier, it had no smell. If you place it right under your nose, you can smell a very faint smell, but nothing bad.
