Better than the Doublemint twins!
I own the Teneo Uno and really enjoyed it (until the retrieval cord snapped, that is) and wanted to see how the Duo compared. I really wanted to give these cute vaginal exercisers a second chance to impress me, and I’m glad I did.Published: July 9, 2011
Pros:
silicone, discreet, strengthens kegels, fun to wear out while running errands
Cons:
Cleaning can be a bit annoying due to texture, may be too large for some
The Teneo Duo are a pair of of brightly coloured and textured kegel exercisers. The Teneo Duo come in some fabulous colour choices, including orange, green, turquoise, purple, as well as various pinks and black. I kinda want one in every colour! When used regularly, they’re supposed to improve vaginal muscle tone and make orgasms better/stronger.
The Duo come in the usual Fun Factory packaging, which I like. It’s cute, I love the magnetic closure, and is fairly discreet. The cardboard is sturdy, and while it could definitely be used for long term storage, I found it more convenient to keep the Teneo Duo tucked in a cloth bag in my dresser. The packaging included a sample of Toyfluid, Fun Factory’s water based lube. (Just a warning, Toyfluid does contain glycerin, so be careful using it if you have sensitivities.)
The length of the two balls together is 4 1/2 inches, with the tail taking the total length to 7 1/2 inches. They measure 1 1/2 inches in diameter, so if you’re not used to larger toys, these might be a tight fit. There’s small weighted beads inside, that you can feel when you roll the toy in your hands, or when they’re inside you!
They have an interesting texture to them…it’s criss-crossed raised bands that I imagine are there for your vaginal muscles to get a better grip on. However, this texture can make it a bit of a pain in the arse to clean this toy thoroughly. Come and lube like to hide in the little creases, and I usually end up having to scrub them with an old toothbrush to get them entirely clean. To sterilize your toy, you can use antibacterial soap and water, a 10% bleach solution, or even boil these, as they’re made of silicone.

Experience
In use, the Duo are pretty awesome. For me, unless I am turned on beforehand, it is a bit tight to get both balls in. Lube helps! Just make sure to use a water based lube, as silicone or oil may damage your toy. Also, I found that if I use too much lube, it makes it harder to keep the Duo in. There’s a notch on top of the ball closest to the tail to help with insertion (yay ergonomic design!), and it does make things a bit easier. For me, the best positions for getting them in was to either be lying flat on my back, or to be standing with on leg up and resting on the side of the tub. To take them out, make sure you have relaxed your muscles as much as possible, or try ‘pushing’ them out as you pull on the retrieval cord. I learned the hard way that the cord will snap if you are still clenching around the toy when you try to remove it. (It was a sad day for me. Boo.)
Having these inside me was definitely arousing, and I was hyper-aware of them for about the first half hour, but soon relaxed and stopped noticing as much unless I did something that would set the small balls inside moving. (such as running down some stairs or bouncing.) Then I would go back to being very aware of them for a time before relaxing again. This may be because I am used to using a menstrual cup, or just because my brain decided that I didn't need to deal with that much stimulation for an extended period and decided to ignore it. I also produce a lot of extra lubrication while I had the Duo inside me, to the point that wearing a pantyliner was a good idea if I didn't feel like dealing with damp underwear all day.
I’ve been using the Duo for about a month now, and while I haven’t noticed my orgasms getting any stronger (which may be a good thing, to be honest. I occasionally pass out for a few seconds if they’re strong enough already!), I’ve definitely noticed that my body will clench down harder on toys if I’m using them to thrust as I come. I’ll have to see if I can get some feedback from my Master the next time he comes to town. For purely scientific purposes, that is. *grin*

I'm still using these on a semi-regular basis. While my partner doesn't think that they are making a marked difference strength wise in the way my pussy clenches around him, he still enjoys that I have been playing with these for a different reason. The Smartballs made me more aware of new and different muscle groups, I find it's easier to control my muscles and can isolate various ones while doing kegels with him inside. AWESOME.

Have you tried these or something similar?

I'm curious to hear about how long (daily and over the long term) you wore them, and what the results were. Could you tell a difference?

My understanding is that they can be worn all day. But when I try to wear any toy for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 hours) I find that I get dry and the toy gets uncomfortable and I have to take it out.
As for telling a difference: I try to remember to do some Kegel exercises a few times a day, and I've noticed a difference since I started. Since these toys are a Kegel exerciser, I assume that if they do what they're meant to do, then yes, you would be able to tell a difference. These are at the top of my wishlist right now. Maybe I'll get them soon and I'll be able to give you an answer myself! -
never tried them. Looks cool though

Choosing The Right Ben Wa Balls For Your Anatomy
-
So, this is a general question for all the women out there. I recently purchased Fun Factory's Smart balls Teneo Duo and they're my first set of ben wa balls. I spent quite some time analyzing the different types of ben wa balls and felt comfortable enough purchasing the ones from Fun Factory after the great reviews. Now that I've gotten them and tried them a few times, I'm sort of disappointed and left wondering if I'm doing something wrong (since many others seem to love them).
For me, the balls are very cumbersome to insert. The product isn't huge by any means. I own vibrators with a larger circumference than the Teneo Duo. Yet, everytime I've struggled to insert them (even with lube). Additionally, I can't feel any vibrations or movement. I know they're not necessarily supposed to be arousing. But, I literally can't feel anything. While, when I hold them in my hand and move them slightly, I can feel the movement without a problem. So. I'm looking for advice from any women out there.
Should I have started with smaller sized ben wa balls? Does the material of the balls make a difference in sensation (metal vs. silicone)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! -

I can offer some personal insight into one of your problems, and will take a stab in the dark at the other.

First, as to insertion, my stab in the dark is: are you using lube and inserting the balls one by one? This toy needs lubricant, as its silioone creates a lot of friction and "drag." I swab some lube on the top half of the first ball, and a little around the neck of the second. I also find the finger insertion grip to be useless for the first ball. You have to hold the first ball on its own and pop it in there, then use the finger grip for the second.
As to the vibrations, my personal experience is that I didn't feel them at all when I first started using the smartballs, but the sensation improved as my grip did. I didn't find that the vibrations stimulated involuntary muscle contractions or gave me a passive workout out of the box. I had to use them for a couple of weeks and do a lot of deliberate squeezing before the process got more automatic.
Your mileage may vary, as everyone's anatomy is different, but my advice would be to give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and see whether your opinion changes. I love mine now and feel that they provide a PC muscle workout that is superior to kegel exercises sans equipment.
Hope this helps. -

I've never been impressed by any balls, because I can't feel them. I think I'll take your advice and try to get some regular use out of mine so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs

Quote: Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular SmartballsThe regular smart balls are smaller in diameter and circumference. So pick which one you think would be more comfortable for you.

The Teneo Duo are also made out of silicone, while the regular Smartballs are made of Elastomed.

Thank you for viewing Smartballs Teneo duo – sex toy for women review page!

Great review! Thanks for sharing!
I love that green!
Thanks for reading! I adore the green as well, but I actually don't have that colour. Mine are a gorgeous shade of turquoise and white. I want to collect the whole set, lol.
Ooh, a turquoise set sounds nice. How long did you have the Uno before it snapped? Sad day indeed! I think the texture of these looks cool, but it's what's been keeping me from deciding that these are the exercisers for me, mostly because of cleaning, as you say. Thanks for the review, Pixel.
@antipova The turquoise is really lovely. And yeah, cleaning is a bit of a pain in my arse. I tend to boil it, then scrub it with a toothbrush to get it totally clean.
My Uno lasted a good three months before the tail broke. I'm still not entirely sure why the tail snapped, unless I just had more of a death grip on it with my vagina, lol.
Nice review! I will have to consider these if I decide to get another ball type kegel toy.
Thanks, Waterfall! They're definitely worth considering.
great review, thanks. These are too big for her. She has a pair about this size, and cant get both of them in and be comfortable at the same time.
Awesome review, I will probably find these to be too large.
Great review
Fantastic title Pixel! It made me chuckle.
Did you like the Uno or the Duo better?
@Sloppy_Donkey @schwaltze I find that these are a bit too bit for me unless I'm turned on before inserting them. Then they fit much better!
@Drifter86, @Minxy Thank you!
@Coralbell I think I prefer the Uno, just because I don't have to masturbate before I used it. The smaller size makes for easier insertion.
good review
@Beck Thanks!
thanks for the review!
