Big Balls!

This toy kicks ass if your looser and need to tighten your pussy muscles. It is what every toy should be; if it could be made smaller, that would make this toy perfect
Published: May 2, 2011
Pros:
Awesome material, great packaging, simple design, easy clean up, discreet
Cons:
Way too big for smaller women, vibrating effect almost nonexistent

extremely useful review

Use

These toys are used to tighten up your vaginal walls, so this product is to be used exclusively by women. The toys have smaller balls inserted in them to help produce a "vibrating effect" when they move around inside of you. Basically, you lube up the toys and insert them inside your vagina and wear them around when you're doing your everyday chores, and they're discreet enough that you can wear them without anyone else knowing. These are for wider girls; I'm a bit on the tight side so they produced an arousing effect while they were inserted in me, but I nearly cried when I had to remove them- it felt like I was birthing a small child. They are not to be used anally because they can cause anal tearing.

Material / Texture

It's super smooth and because it is made of silicone, it is incredibly safe and can be used by anyone. Also, because it is made of silicone, it does not have any smells to it. The toy is rather firm. The material is wonderful for insertion because it doesn't cause any irritation. There is a string that is used so you can remove the balls from your vagina that can be a bit annoying, but you can always cut it if you don't like it. I don't think the material contributes to stimulation. The connecting part between the two balls is flexible.

Design / Shape / Size

The toy is basically two balls connected by a flexible rod and a silicone string so you can remove the balls from your body with minimal hassle. Every time I pulled the balls from my body, I thought the string was going to break, but it is ever enduring. I love the design of the balls; they look so modern and yet they are so simply. They are smooth so it's quite easy to clean. I was intimidated by the size of the balls, and as I said earlier, they are meant to be used by girls who are not as tight as me. If you are beginner and someone with a wider vagina, these are the balls for you. It does not look realistic. It is a wonderful toy to be used discreetly and they can be easily stowed away for travel purposes.

Performance

I personally do not care for the size; I wish they created balls with the exact same design but for smaller women. I enjoyed the stimulation but it was incredible painful to remove the balls after I was done using them. The toy, however, does its job with tightening and I loved how tight I was when I got to have sex with a close friend of mine. The vibrating effect wasn't that great and I feel that it was a bit exaggerated. I felt a little bit of vibration but not so much that it aroused me entirely. Instead, I was aroused by actual presence of the balls rubbing against my vaginal walls.

Care and Maintenance

One of my favorite things about this toy is how easy it is to clean it! All you have to do is wash it off with soap and water and you are done. You can also clean this toy with a toy cleaner or wipes, if you so desire. I store in my toy box and so far, it has not attracted any dust or lint, which is absolutely wonderful. The toy comes with a packet water based lube, so you can use that with the toy for insertion. Because it is made of silicone, you should not use any silicone lubes.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The box is probably better than most boxes; you could probably use it for short term storage but it would probably break apart after a few weeks. The box is made of plastic and has several little designs and advertises the water based lube it comes with. The box, however, does not explain how to use the toy. Luckily, it does come with a very handy instruction manual that explains the toy's use, how to insert the toy, and how to clean it.
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

I loved many aspects of this toy; if it was made smaller, I would definitely buy them again. I loved the materials and design of the toy. I was also incredibly appreciative of the packaging and instruction manual- some toys are beautiful but sometimes, I don't know how the heck how to use them! I loved how discreet it was as well; all you have to do is slide them and no one else knows you have them in! If you are looking for a good vaginal tightening toy, this is it.
Follow-up commentary
I absolutely love my Smartballs; they were my first vaginal balls and I'm still very pleased with my purchase. They don't come out as often as my Emigi, but I still like to brag about their quality and how they helped my PC muscles; seriously, they're so much tighter and stronger now!

The material is in tip top shape and the cord didn't break (even though for a while I feared it would.) I wear these about once a week and they don't show any signs of wear and tear.

As a side note, I mentioned in my review that these are painful to take out. In order to reduce the pain and discomfort, I found that if I bore down on my PC muscles (sort of like pooping, except with your vagina), it makes it so much more comfortable to remove.

Although you discussed the size, I think it's always a good idea to reiterate the dimensions of the toy. I think of reviews as a place where the reader can find absolutely all the information about this toy in one place Listing the length/width/etc here means they don't have to go hunt for it on the product page!

Also, I'm sorry to the editor...there are still a number of typos/errors in there I voted "Poor" on the editing to reflect that. Just wanted to explain why!

@lexical um, if you wanted dimensions, the whole toy (insertable length is included as well) is 7 3/4 inches, the circumference is 4 3/4 inches , and the diameter is 1 1/2 inches. the whole thing weighs .3 oz. sorry i didn't mention that in my original review.

  • Have you tried these or something similar?
    • I'm curious to hear about how long (daily and over the long term) you wore them, and what the results were. Could you tell a difference?

I'll be interested to hear people's responses to this. My understanding is that they can be worn all day. But when I try to wear any toy for a prolonged period of time (more than 1 hours) I find that I get dry and the toy gets uncomfortable and I have to take it out.

As for telling a difference: I try to remember to do some Kegel exercises a few times a day, and I've noticed a difference since I started. Since these toys are a Kegel exerciser, I assume that if they do what they're meant to do, then yes, you would be able to tell a difference. These are at the top of my wishlist right now. Maybe I'll get them soon and I'll be able to give you an answer myself!
    • never tried them. Looks cool though

  • Choosing The Right Ben Wa Balls For Your Anatomy
    • So, this is a general question for all the women out there. I recently purchased Fun Factory's Smart balls Teneo Duo and they're my first set of ben wa balls. I spent quite some time analyzing the different types of ben wa balls and felt comfortable enough purchasing the ones from Fun Factory after the great reviews. Now that I've gotten them and tried them a few times, I'm sort of disappointed and left wondering if I'm doing something wrong (since many others seem to love them).

For me, the balls are very cumbersome to insert. The product isn't huge by any means. I own vibrators with a larger circumference than the Teneo Duo. Yet, everytime I've struggled to insert them (even with lube). Additionally, I can't feel any vibrations or movement. I know they're not necessarily supposed to be arousing. But, I literally can't feel anything. While, when I hold them in my hand and move them slightly, I can feel the movement without a problem. So. I'm looking for advice from any women out there.

Should I have started with smaller sized ben wa balls? Does the material of the balls make a difference in sensation (metal vs. silicone)? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have both the original Smartballs and the Teneo Duo. I can offer some personal insight into one of your problems, and will take a stab in the dark at the other.

First, as to insertion, my stab in the dark is: are you using lube and inserting the balls one by one? This toy needs lubricant, as its silioone creates a lot of friction and "drag." I swab some lube on the top half of the first ball, and a little around the neck of the second. I also find the finger insertion grip to be useless for the first ball. You have to hold the first ball on its own and pop it in there, then use the finger grip for the second.

As to the vibrations, my personal experience is that I didn't feel them at all when I first started using the smartballs, but the sensation improved as my grip did. I didn't find that the vibrations stimulated involuntary muscle contractions or gave me a passive workout out of the box. I had to use them for a couple of weeks and do a lot of deliberate squeezing before the process got more automatic.

Your mileage may vary, as everyone's anatomy is different, but my advice would be to give it a couple of weeks of daily wear and see whether your opinion changes. I love mine now and feel that they provide a PC muscle workout that is superior to kegel exercises sans equipment.

      Hope this helps.

So the sensation improves over time? I've never been impressed by any balls, because I can't feel them. I think I'll take your advice and try to get some regular use out of mine so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

  • What's the difference
    • Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
    • Quote: Between the Smartballs Teneo duo and the regular Smartballs
The regular smart balls are smaller in diameter and circumference. So pick which one you think would be more comfortable for you.
    • The Teneo Duo are also made out of silicone, while the regular Smartballs are made of Elastomed.
