Luxury G-spot vibrator discontinued

Blooming O

The Bloom by Leaf is an attractive, organically-shaped rechargeable vibrator that would be great for anyone who enjoys powerful vibrations, whether inserted or used externally. The flexibility of the "stem" or neck allows you to position the Bloom whichever way you'd prefer and it can even be used for dual stimulation.

Use

The Bloom by Leaf is a powerful vibrator designed to look like a flower bud and is marketed mainly towards women. The bud or head of the toy can be inserted to help with g-spot stimulation or you can use it externally to stimulate the clitoris or other erogenous zones. Also, being fairly flexible allows you to utilize the second motor in the base of the toy by bending it up to reach your clitoris while the bud is inserted. It is not suggested to use this toy anally unless you can somehow secure it so it doesn't get stuck in your bum.

Being waterproof makes this toy a good option for bath tub or shower play as well as being easy to clean. You may be nervous about the charging port getting water in it but I tried my best to water log it and it never seemed to affect it at all. Also, to get the charger plugged in to the toy it really takes a lot of pushing for it to slide all the way in the little hole so there's something going there to keep water out.

Beginners will most likely love this toy, it's cute and not intimidating in the least, it has two powerful motors that can be used at the same time or individually, and it's easy to operate. Size queens will definitely want to look into something else because this toy isn't very big at all.

Using the Bloom with a partner can be lots of fun, especially if it's foreplay, but during sex could be interesting too. Double penetration or just some added clitoral stimulation are a couple ideas but don't limit yourself. Solo play with the Bloom can be very fun as well, just be sure you use some lubricant to help it glide along smoothly.

Material / Texture

Made out of 100% silicone earns the Bloom a 10 out of 10 rating on the Eden materials safety scale. This means that silicone is non-porous, hypoallergenic, latex and phthalate free and food-grade material. There is usually some give with silicone and it can easily attract lint, hairs and dust. Silicone is also usually very smooth unless it is rippled or given some other kind texture.

In the case of the Bloom it is very smooth, green silicone and it only has a slight rubbery kind of odor to it. You don't really notice it unless you put it up to your nose and smell it. Bloom also has a noticeable seam running it's entire length but it cannot be felt during use. There are also some logos and other printing in the silicone that are only noticeable when looking at them.

Being that there is a good amount of drag with the silicone material you will want to some lubricant with this toy to get it gliding along smoothly. Be sure to use water-based lubricant to avoid degrading the material of your toy. That is, of course, unless you have patch tested with silicone lubricant to make sure before using it on the insertable portion. If sharing this toy with someone, make sure you cover it with a condom if you're not fluid bonded with them, otherwise just wash thoroughly and sterilize in between uses.

Design / Shape / Size

The Bloom is perfectly named because it really does look like a flower before its bud opens. The head of the toy is kind of like an off-center teardrop shape on top of a thin stem that fills out and becomes wider down at the base. This vibrator is covered in green silicone that is easy to grip during use and the only opening on the whole toy is a small charging port hole.

There is a very noticeable seam running the entire length of the toy but it's only noticed when looking at it, much like the Leaf logo and other printing in the silicone on the back of the base. Bloom doesn't really look like a sex toy at all so it could probably be left out without a problem but if you have pets or small children that like to steal your things you may want to lock it up somewhere safe. Traveling with the Bloom would be really easy since it's on the smaller side, doesn't resemble a sex toy and packs away simply in its own convenient storage pouch.

Here is a comparison:

Bloom is 6 3/4" long in overall length with about 5" of it being insertable. The base with the control buttons shouldn't be inserted just to be on the safe side with the charging port. The circumference is 4 1/4" and the diameter is 1 1/2" but that's measuring around the widest point of the bud.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Bloom has two buttons located on the base of the toy that turn on and off the two different motors. The top button turns on the motor in the bud/head and the bottom button turns on the motor in the base of the vibrator. When you press the buttons once they are backlit with a green light that comes on and the motors turn on in a low steady vibration. Holding down the buttons will cause it to ramp up in speed until it reaches the highest steady vibration setting and while holding the buttons down the green lights will flash to indicate that the speed is changing. A quick push of the button will turn off the corresponding motor and green light.

Unfortunately there are no patterns to the Bloom at all, you can only adjust the speed for each motor. Each motor is pretty powerful, however, so the lack of patterns isn't a total loss. With both motors running on their highest settings the Bloom is fairly quiet, it may be enough to be heard through blankets but it will not be heard through a closed door. The strength of each motor is probably about four vrooms, so easily felt and stimulating but nothing like a Hitachi. Honestly the vibrations are sort of somewhere in between buzzy and rumbly, which is interesting but some folks may not enjoy it.

Bloom is a rechargeable vibrator and is powered by a lithium-polymer battery. Once the AV jack power cord is plugged into the wall and toy a red indicator light will come on to show that it's charging and when the vibrator is all done charging the red LED light will shut off. The user's manual says only that it can take a while to charge depending on the size of the battery but usually about an hour or two is more than enough. On one charge the Bloom can last about an hour on its highest settings and maybe twenty or thirty minutes more on the lowest settings.

The Bloom arrives locked so you will have to unlock it before using. Simply press and hold down both buttons for about four seconds and they will flicker and shut off. Once unlocked you can press either button and the motors will turn on as described before. When you want to lock your Bloom for traveling just press and hold both buttons again for four seconds. The green lights will flicker and shut off to indicate that it's locked.

Care and Maintenance

Cleaning the Bloom is simple because it's waterproof; just wash with warm water and antibacterial soap or toy cleaner or wipe it down with a toy and body wipe. To sterilize the toy just wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution but make sure you rinse it thoroughly to avoid getting harsh chemicals in sensitive body areas. Allow it to completely dry before storing. Do NOT boil this vibrator or put it in the dishwasher because that will most likely ruin the motors.

To store your Bloom just keep it tucked away in its provided storage pouch so it doesn't end up touching other toys. Silicone could possibly react to other silicone or more inferior materials so it's best to keep them separated. Once stored in its pouch you can just toss this wherever you keep all your other toys whether it's in a tub, tote, drawer or on a shelf in a closet.

Packaging

*Please note: I've had this sitting around for a while before reviewing it so I don't have photos of the box it came in but I can describe its looks.*

Bloom came packaged in a heavy weight light brown cardboard box with "Leaf" and "Bloom" written on the front. It also says "100%; Silicone finish, rechargeable, natural pleasure" in a dark banner on the bottom part of the front of the box. The box is closed with a magnet in the flap front which opens to reveal the User's manual in a pocket that has a finger hole to pull it open to reveal the Bloom, charger and storage pouch underneath. The back of the box shows a photo of the toy and gives you some more information about it as well as telling you that it's recyclable.

The packaging isn't discreet enough to gift without wrapping so if you have nosy folks over to your house you may want to tuck this away where they won't find it. Also, the packaging itself is kind of big and bulky so it's a good thing they provide a storage pouch to keep your Bloom in.
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative

Experience

Personally I had been lusting after this one for a while because it's just so darn cute looking and I heard and read that it was powerful. I was happy I was finally able to grab one and once I got it out of the packaging and charged up I decided to test it out in the shower. It never became waterlogged so its waterproof claim is holding up. My favorite way to play with this toy is to insert the bud vaginally and then bend the base up so it can vibrate on my clitoris. I really enjoy having a toy that is so flexible you can almost bend it in half.

My only complaint with this toy is the lack of patterns. Granted, it is a pretty powerful toy as is but I think having some patterns would definitely add some versatility to the functions. Other than that I'm very happy with this toy and would recommend it to anyone.

Yay! I am glad you enjoyed it as well. Girl I did not know it was locked when I got it. I just pressed the buttons then it turned on after charging. Unless I just did it without knowing it. Great review, thanks for sharing!
