Bond, Rumble Bond

If you have told me years ago I would love all sorts of whimsical toys with faces, I'd have laughed in your face. But the deep rumble and amazing power that the Benjamin Bond brings, along with its cute Fun Factory brothers, makes me forget all about faces. They are powerful, well designed and made to last. The Benjamin Bond will work for everyone, especially if you love texture. This is a favorite!

Use

The Benjamin Bond has an odd look to say the least. I'm a Fun Factory junkie, and this little guy is all the best about Fun Factory. It's a unique and whimsical design, it's got a great rumble and it packs a punch. How can you go wrong with that combination? Seriously.

This toy is akin to a traditional vibrator. It doesn't have a G-spot curve to speak of, but the head can be angled to hit your G-spot if that works with your anatomy. Certainly the ridges provide G-spot stimulation while thrusting. It can be used externally for clitoral stimulation, and that teardrop head tucks nicely against my clit to really give a ton of sensation.

Although I suppose this could be used anally if you exercise caution, the ridges would be intense. Although this is silicone, I would use a condom if you are going to use this anally or share it with a partner, as it has lots of nooks and crannies and can be tricky to clean.

The Bond can be used solo or with a partner. I tend to use it alone, as the ridges provide a lot of sensation, and I like to control their movement myself. With direction and patience it would make a fine couples toy as well. When I've used it with a partner, it works well to stay out of the way during oral or other play.

Material / Texture

Benjamin Bond is silicone and plastic. The insertable portion (blue) of the toy is silicone, and the base (maroon) is plastic. The coloring is unique to sex toys, and I welcome the change. In a sea of pink and black, it's nice to have a change of pace.

The silicone isn't like the later Fun Factory silicone which has quite a bit of texture. This toy is smooth, except for the areas of the design that create ridges and features. The tear drop shaped head of the toy doesn't provide a ton of texture when used external or for shallow internal play, but thrusting the toy is a texture rich experience. The wrappings of the Bond, which are meant to resemble a mummy it seems, give the shaft of the toy tons of raised ridges that go all the way to the base.

Although this toy is high on texture, I wouldn't say that it's for experienced users only or should only be used by those who love tons of texture. The ridges are rounded without deep grooves between them, so if you move slowly they wouldn't be jarring or jolting.

Design / Shape / Size

The size of this toy is just about perfect. The teardrop head gives you some options. You can get pinpoint stimulation where you'd like it. If you like thrusting, you can do that. If you like using the shaft of a vibrator for external stimulation you can do that. If you hold the toy still, or move it slowly, the texture isn't extreme. If you favor extreme texture you can do bolder movements. It's large enough to make it's presence felt, but not so large that it would be too much those who aren't size queens. I'd recommend the Bond for beginners and advanced users alike.

Is it discreet? I think you would have a hard time talking someone into the fact that it was anything aside from a sex toy. That being said, it doesn't look like the basic phallic toy out there, so it doesn't draw the eye.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls of the Benjamin Bond are quite unique. They harken back to days of old school video games a bit, with a small joystick that you control with your thumb. At first, I was taken aback, thinking it would be a pain to control a toy that way, but it feels comfortable and effortless. There is a small button which turns the Bond on and off, but controlling the intensity of the constant vibration setting, as well as moving between patterns, is all controlled by pushing the joystick up and down. The underside of the base feels comfortable in my hand, and very little of the vibration is transferred there, so you don't get any numbness while you hold it. Yes, more of the power is felt in the head of Bond, but that works to your advantage. It can target the spots you want to target.

The vibrations are all rumble, which is one of the things that makes me such a Fun Factory lover. They are deep and penetrating, with no annoying buzz. I'd say on the highest setting, it reached 4 Vrooms. It's certainly not a loud vibrator, and although I can hear it over the covers, you can't hear it through a closed door. As far as settings, you can adjust the steady vibrations over 8 intensities, and cycle through three patterns. Two of the patterns are increasing intensity variations, and one is a pulse.

It comes with a charging base, which plugs into a wall outlet. You place the joystick into the depression of the charging base, and the Bond charges. It charges over the course of 3-4 hours, and will work for over an hour on one charge.

Care and Maintenance

A wash with soap and warm water, or your favorite toy cleaner, will work for Benjamin Bond as a method of cleaning. The toy is waterproof, so you don't have to worry about getting it wet while cleaning it. You can also wipe the Bond down with a 10% bleach solution to sterilize it. Please don't boil it or put it in the dishwasher, even though it is silicone, as it has a motor and won't survive the dip. You might want to use a washcloth or toothbrush that is dedicated to toy cleaning to clean the grooves on the Bond, as they can hold onto fluids.

As the Bond is silicone, please use only water-based lubes with it. Silicone lubes may damage the surface of the toy. I store the Bond in a plastic bag with the charging base. It could stay out and on the charging base if discretion is not an issue.
Follow-up commentary
This one is a winner with lots of staying power. That teardrop head never fails to do just what I need it to do. This one is still going strong and holds a charge well. There have been no issues.
