The best use is right in the name as these are first and foremost nipple clamps, but don't let that stop you from using this highly adjustable biter elsewhere. The clamps have a fair range of adjustable width and pressure, so these could also just as easily be doubled down for use on the clitoris, labia, or inner thighs, to name a few.

I decided to give them the ol' college try and while they do effectively clamp the clitoris, I would urge caution to those who are still testing their pain limits to take it slow. They can slide around a bit on slippery body parts (such as the aforementioned lady bits), so either be prepared to tighten them down for a firm grip or stay as still as you can.

Beginners may find them a little intimidating, but they can be tightened after they're clamped simply by adjusting the screw, so you can start light, go slow, and eventually you will be able to find a level of pressure that suits you best. I think these are a practical enough staple that functions solidly enough that even advanced users will find them a valuable addition to their stash.

I do urge safety precautions if you decide to try and wear these for an extended period of time -- always take breaks to resume normal blood supply and avoid long-term damage. I used mine on pierced nipples with relative success, but do play with caution to avoid any accidental tearing or otherwise mood-killing, bad-pain-inducing, bleeding-nipple-type activities. Nobody likes those.

The clamps are pretty standard fare. They have a sturdy chain link that even has a double loop to help prevent link breakage like you see on cheap jewelry. The screw has a slight texture to help with grip control, and they screw in and out fairly smoothly, though understandably with more difficulty if the clamps are attached to a part of your body. The nose is covered in black silicone for padding, but this can be removed for cleaning or if you're feeling particularly masochistic and want to take your nipples to a special new circle of hell!

I was actually a little surprised at the size of the clamp heads when I got these in the mail. They are a bit large, so those like myself with smaller nipples may have a little trouble with them falling off. This is especially evident at lighter pressure levels, but this can be remedied by clamping more of the areola with the nipple or simply applying more pressure. Those with pierced nipples can clamp them vertically (I only have experience clamping them over barbell jewelry -- your experience may vary), or if you have larger nipples, you may be able to finagle them behind the piercing itself. Again, be cautious and make sure your piercing is properly healed before attempting to clamp to avoid any serious damage. Your local piercer may also be able to give you some advice on how to play safely.

The clamps are small and very easy to clean. They can be washed with plain old warm tap water, soap, and/or toy cleaner if you so desire. Be sure to dry them thoroughly before storage lest you have a potentially rusty sex toy in the future. If I had to guess, playing with rusty sex toys may not qualify as 'safe' or 'sane' in the BDSM mantra!

The packaging is completely no-frills. This is about as cheap as they come short of being without packaging at all, as the clamps are simply stored in an elongated zip baggie with a paper insert. If you enjoy routinely bathing in Chandon and smoking Benjamins, the packaging is a definite downgrade from what you're probably used to, but cut California Exotic a break. They have created a no-fuss, well-functioning toy that does what it says it will do, which I think forgives the frankly mediocre presentation.
