Classy Metal

If you're looking for something that's so quiet you can only hear it when it's stuck in your ear, but also strong enough to consistently deliver powerful orgasms, then look no further than the Little Chroma. Well worth the money if you're willing to splurge on it.

Use

There are a few uses for this awesome little vibrator Designed for clitoral stimulation, the Little Chroma is also great for teasing the nipples, any part of the penis/sac, perineum, etc. You can also use it for light thrusting and stimulating the shallower of G-spots, or between a male and female during sex.

There's really nobody that this toy would be bad for. The vibrations are strong without being overwhelming, it's waterproof, and virtually silent. The only downsides to the Little Chroma is that it only has one setting and that it has to be on the entire time if you're using in an aqueous setting.

Material / Texture

Little Chroma is made of double anodized aluminum. It's nonporous and phthaltes free with a smooth, slick texture. If texture is your thing, you won't get anything from this, but the smoothness of the whole thing allows you to very easily create an awesome slippery texture with very little effort. There's no smell or taste whatsoever.

Another nice feature that comes with being made of metal is that the little chroma is great for temperature play. Warm it up in a warm bowl of water (make sure the battery cap is completely closed before submerging in any temperature water), or chill it in the fridge or a bowl of ice water.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

There's not much to the Little Chroma. It's about 5" long and 2 1/4" around. It fits very easily and comfortably in the hand, and its teeny tiny size makes it perfect for traveling. It's discreet in that it's not obviously a sex toy, but there aren't many more possibilities as to what it could be, so if you want to avoid answering questions, keep this little guy tucked away.

The little battery cap end features a convenient space for attaching a retrieval cord, or even a key ring, although I would avoid having this on your keys since to keep it off it has to be partially unscrewed and you could just end up losing the whole thing, which would really suck. On the other hand, having a key ring on the end of the toy could help sweaty or otherwise slippery hands open and close the battery compartment with ease.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Little Chroma is so easy to use, even the most beginner of toy users won't have a problem. It consists of the toy's housing, the battery cap, the replaceable motor, and 1 AA battery. If you unscrew the cap completely the battery and the motor both come right out, and slide back in just as easily. Spinning the cap the other way tightens it up and activates the vibrations. They'll be slightly loud at first as the battery and the motor rattle against each other, but once the cap is on completely it's almost impossible to hear.

According to JimmyJane, while there's only one speed; it's the right speed. They did some research that shows that most people would rather vary the intensity of the vibration rather than the frequency, so because of that the vibrations are stronger in the tip of the toy and are supposed to get weaker towards the end. I've found that the vibrations feel pretty equal down the whole length of the toy.

The vibrations aren't the strongest out there, but they're very effective all the same. They're of the very very quiet, low pitched, sort of rumbly variety. And seriously, my Blackberry vibrates louder.

The O-ring located on the battery cap does a superb job of keeping water out in the bathtub, shower, random puddle, or any other body of water you happen to want to use this bad boy in.

Care and Maintenance

Care and maintenance is obscenely easy. After each use, clean with mild soap and hot water. You could of course use your favorite toy cleaner as well, but no matter what you use, make sure that you're not going to get anything inside the housing if the motor is still inside. If you use Little Chroma a lot, you can just unscrew the cap enough to stop the vibrations, otherwise you should remove the battery during storage.

You can store this bad boy just about anywhere. In a drawer, in a sock, in a sock drawer, wherever. The finish is pretty durable and so long as you don't let it become the dog's new chew toy, there aren't many places you could keep it where it would get damaged. But you should still keep it in a drawer just to be safe.

Packaging

Like all the rest of JimmyJane's products, the packaging for the Little Chroma oozes class. It's still not discreet because it says vibrator right on the front in a few different languages, but it would still be perfect for gift giving, and you could even keep storing your little chroma inside of it.

Press on either end to slide out the little box that holds the little chroma, as well as the instruction manual. It's very thorough and covers getting started, cleaning, more about the battery, more about the motor, replacing the motor, and safety notes.

Experience

I cannot believe how quiet this thing is! Still! It just baffles me, and everyone I've shown it to. Just utter amazement at how virtually silent this thing is, and how powerful it is for being so quiet. I like it best for clitoral stimulation, both with toys and while having sex with my fiance, although the hardness of the metal can get uncomfortable during partner sex with any kind of real weight behind it. It's one of my new favorites because I'll have it forever, and it finds a way to deliver strong orgasms consistently.

I definitely recommend it to anybody who's been thinking about it.

I'm surprised that your Blackberry vibrates louder than the Chroma, thanks for the good review!

I have bought 2. The first chipped on concrete while transporting it to my boyfriends house. I think it had repeated shocks to the motor because I was dropping it while I was getting out of the bath. Then the motor became noisy and not so effective. I moved on to my eroscillator for a while, but eventually I bought another little choma because I missed it so much. So yes, I think it is worth it. And if you look after it it will look after you. Tie a strap around the end of the little chroma if you're going to use it in the shower so then you won't drop it. This is easily done, there are holes for such a strap. If transporting it elsewhere keep it in a nice safe pouch. Don't grab it on the way out of the house without putting it away in your bag anyhow. You may regret it later.

As far as vibrators go, my clitoris is an extremely fussy girl. I can get off with the eroscillator or the little chroma, but anything else has honestly been rather a difficult endeavour. I've tried decent bullets and pocket rockets and traditional vibrators but none has come close. I've tried a vibrator with weird patterns. Honestly, all you need is this one speed. It varies in intensity across the shaft. The little chroma has a decent power at a discreet noise level. It also has a beautiful hard smoothness and doesn't cause irritation. As goldilocks would say 'It's just right'. Just make sure your batteries are charged (the only ones that fit are eneloop), or get some fresh non-rechargable ones before you judge its power.

      Plus they are pretty!

LOL I hope you enjoy my mini review. You can read my full review on the site too if you like.

  • Jimmyjane where you at???
    • So I've been looking into Jimmyjane more and more the past few months after all the hype finally got to me. The toy that seems to tickle my fancy the most would be the little chroma. The whole high quality, small, sleek, simple, quiet, waterproof, metal thing really gets me going. However, the sexiest version of the toy for me is the steel version *pictures it sitting innocently next to my mac, complemented by the brushed steel lamp on the bedside table*, which costs a whopping $195. Now, I'm okay with spending the money on a single toy, as long as it's the right toy. Trouble is, I've been to maybe 12 adult toy stores in three different cities around my state, NC, and not only did the majority of them not carry Jimmyjane toys, the only ones that did were adam and eve and although the chain carries a few of the toys, the specific stores did not. What's worse, some of the other stores had never even heard of Jimmyjane. And yeah, it took some effort to not exclaim "and you do this for a living?!?!" Anyways...

Not being able to see, touch, test/witness the vibration of the toys before hand is a big problem to me, especially when dealing with such expensive toys.

Does anyone have any idea where I can get my hands on any of their friggin products? I mean sheesh, I'd be willing to make a minitrip to a surrounding state for funzies at this point. SEX TOY ROADTRIP! I just have to lay my eyes on em, ya know? Sneaky little things... Has anyone else had the same experience with not being able to find them?

Or can anyone who owns a little chroma/little something offer a more specific comparison of power to some other more available and comparable toy? I've read all the reviews on this site as well as others. I just want something more like, "at the strongest point it feels similar in intensity to the (#) setting of (manufacturer)'s (toy name)." If that's at all possible...
    • Might I suggest sending one of the reviewers a message and asking them? I would bet Sam, Owl, Darling Jen or wetone123 (among others) would be happy to help. :) You may look to see what vibes they have to see if you happen to have them too, that would give you a better idea on the comparison.
    • JimmyJane is based in San Francisco and you can see their products displayed at many of the top-tier sex boutiques around the US. They have a list of retailers on their website.

      HELL NO!

But I'm not a Jimmyjane fan. The look of their toys (expect the Form 6) don't do anything for me.
    • I've never understood having more than one of the same toy. I would much rather spend that $1650 on a variety of toys.
