This toy was definitely designed
The
clitoral hummer is a great value because it's dirt cheap and provides more throbbing vibrations than your typical cheap plastic vibrator. I usually take mine on short trips, when traveling with an electric vibe would be a little more difficult.
I feel that most
cheap vibrators produce shallow, tinny vibrations. Even some (but not all) of the ever-popular
egg-type vibrators produce vibrations that seem shallow to me. These vibrations don't get me off as effectively or deliciously as throbbing vibrations. I’m definitely not an engineer, but I can only imagine that the “throb” I’m referring to is produced by a motor that shakes in a rhythmic way, one that moves back and forth a bit more than what I call a “tinny” vibrator. Hence the “gyrations” referenced in the description.
I’ve used both the nub and spoon sides for clitoral stimulation, and I tend to prefer the spoon side, while my lover, who likes a very specific spot on her clit stimulated, prefers the nub. I have inserted it, and I like it for solo insertion play, although I don’t use it for this very often. Putting the nub right against my g-spot feels divine and has helped me ejaculate on a couple of occasions, but it’s hard to get it just right. Also, as a previous reviewer noted, if you’re not very familiar with your own g-spot, this is not the type of toy that will help you find it. Also, the fact that it’s straight and not curved means that many people will not be able to hit their spots just right anyway.
It take two AA batteries, and as the batteries wear out, so does the toy. This is typical in nearly all battery-operated vibes, especially cheaper plastic toys, and I actually really enjoy working hard at getting off when the vibrations are subdued by a reduction in battery power—but this is a personal idiosyncrasy, and my lover always goes scrambling for batteries when this or similar toys are not going full force. (NB. I actually keep nearly wasted but not completely discharged batteries for use in other electronics. They can last for weeks or months in remote controls and other devices. I’ve also been meaning to buy rechargeable batteries for a long time.)
