When I was contacted by Funtoys and offered this unusual looking luxury vibe I could hardly say no. Seeing the G-vibes somewhat bizarre looking but sleek and luxurious design, I was eager to try something new and could honestly say there is nothing in my collection that too closely resembles it.

The front of the packaging features beautiful sketch like drawings of flowers which visually compare with the female anatomy and give the packaging a classy, feminine touch, no real nudity or seedy imagery to be found here!

First impression:

Once taken out of its pleasantly upmarket packaging I noticed that the G-vibe is actually charged via usb (handy for international use) Another thing that I noticed is the drawstring storage bag which is included for more compact storage or handy travelling with the G-vibe.

Feeling the G-vibe in my hands for the first time it was surprisingly velvety and smooth to run my fingers along. The shaft of the G-vibe is shaped similarly to the clit attachment on a rabbit vibrator and both its ‘ears’ are very flexible.

Looking at the accompanying user manual it shows a variety of ways in which the G-vibe can be used, and it’s not just to be enjoyed by women but can be placed around the penis and testicles in a series of positions too!


In Use:

The G-vibe can be used in a whole range of ways; as a clitoral vibrator, internal vibrator or both at the same time. The ‘ears’ can be placed on either side of the clitoris or one can be placed on the clitoris with the other enjoyed internally.

The G-vibe even works as a double penetrative toy for simultaneous vaginal and anal penetration or one ear can be enjoyed vaginally while the other rests on the anus for external stimulation. There are so many ways it can be enjoyed and I’m quite certain I haven’t even found all of its uses yet.

When inserting both tips I find that just a drop of water based lube goes a long way on its smooth silicone. Once inserted, the two tips (which naturally point in opposite directions) come together to fit to your body but still leave you feeling particularly filled. With each thrust the tips can be felt against the front and back wall of the vagina simultaneously massaging both without too much friction and without stretching the entrance of the vagina. The controls on the G-vibe are simple and easy to control during play and its vibrations are both powerful and reasonably quiet especially when inserted. The finger loop design of the handle makes thrusting incredibly comfortable and easy with no buttons being accidently pressed at the wrong moment.

Controls:

One press of the plus button is all it takes to switch on the G-vibe, each additional press of the plus button brings you to a stronger steady vibration mode.

Pressing the minus button will bring you down a speed or switch off the toy.

Now getting to the really fun part; the button which sits between these two other buttons, controls the pulsing and escalating vibration functions!

The G-vibe has six vibration modes as mentioned on its packaging but also has a whole series of pulsing and escalating functions which cover every type of pulse and pattern you could ask for. While I enjoyed all its various vibrating functions and the range of stimulation they provide. Orgasms from the G-vibe take time to achieve as its just lacking in terms of power.

Made of high-quality Silicone, the G-Vibe is both Latex and Phthalates free, silicone is completely non-porous making that it an hygienic toy material.Then cleaning the G-Vibe after use, its unusual shape means that it can take extra attention and care to make sure that every nook is truly clean. I use warm water and mild soap to clean mine and store it in its provided storage pouch in between uses.

It is generally believed that silicone based lubricants should not be used with silicone toys. I would recommend using a generous amount of water-based lubricant with the G-Vibe as its silicone has a matte finish.

With its upmarket packaging, unusual design, luxurious build and easy to use controls, the G-vibe made a good impression from the start.
