Cute little bugger for simple play, but could pack more of a punch!

I LIKE this toy, I really do. But I own about 15 toys total ranging from rabbits to strap-ons, and I rarely find myself reaching for this. I think the only real reason I like it, is because it's very portable and very cute. Other than that, I prefer to cum harder than this allows.

Use

Clit, clit, clit! I thought the shape might possibly be conducive to the G-spot, I was wrong. This toy is best for newbies trying to merge into the adult toy buying slowly and conservatively. I personally like to lube it up a little and slide it across my erogenous areas.

Material / Texture

Smell is that of new plastic, but it washes off easily. The texture is smooth, but since it encases hard plastic casing making it less soft than it feels to the touch. As such, it does NOT add extra stimulation but is an ideal one for beginners or people who like simplicity.

Design / Shape / Size

Design is very unique. Fun Factory's toys are usually designed in this manner. The shape is good for the clitoral stimulation it advertises, however I find that it feels awkward to hold after a while and makes the wrist feel tired while in use. This toy is GREAT for a beginners, for easy to hide and very non-assuming. I forgot I'd left mine in my carry on and it was pulled out by airport handlers and I wasn't even embarrassed. They didn't even know what it was!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The functions are great. All sorts of escalating and pulsation variables. The vibrations are focused in the part that are supposed to target the clit, but in my opinion, they could be stronger. It is a very quiet toy and good to use in a dorm situation, where you don't want a loud vibe to be heard through the door. The Layaspot is waterproof... technically. I had one and didn't open the compartment to get it to dry (apparently the instructions say you should) and it fried. The second I have I didn't test in water of fear of frying ANOTHER almost $50 toy.

Care and Maintenance

Impeccably easy to take care of. Just clean with warm soap and water; that's it! I love having a toy that's this easy to clean. I hate having a difficult or messy clean-up after the big O.

Packaging

The packaging is cute, but you should read the instructions. There were details I wasn't aware of for product care, that would've been helpful if I hadn't been in such a big hurry to get it out of the packaging.

Personal comments

I like this toy. I liked it enough to buy it twice. However, I would say that I prefer my vibrations a little bit on the stronger side. But overall, the compactness and cuteness make it great for the traveling woman, or college student who gets a little horny in her room.

Experience

It makes me cum every time, but sometimes not as strong as I'd like. Works in a pinch, but if you're going for a speedy, quickie, you might need a stronger vibe.

My LAYAspot package said only splashproof. I've taken it in the shower a couple of times with no problems as long as it's not in the stream of water.

Good review!

Thanks for the review, this is probably one of the more critical reviews of the LAYAspot that I've read, so it's nice to get the opinion of someone who wasn't totally sold on it.

not sure but we have the Laya and the better than chocolate ( the music ed) both have their good points, but the laya is a little smaller and compact. Both were really well tho and the music seting is fun feature!

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
