Use

I got this for myself as a birthday present, and it has not disappointed! I had lusted after OhMiBod's musical vibrators for ages. And when I finally got my black NaughtiBod in the mail, I couldn't wait to try it out. I immediately put the batteries in (it came with batteries! We like that!) and plugged the cord into my computer headphone jack. I popped open iTunes to see what would work best. I just held it in one hand, while holding the mouse with the other, dragging stuff onto a playlist as I went.

When bedtime came, it was time to try it out for real. I synced my playlist, slid a condom over the toy, slicked everything up, and went to town. I'll admit, I'm the kind of girl who likes to be filled completely, so this was a new kind of sensation for me, but dear heaven. I wouldn't trade this little wonder for anything. It's only 1" around, which makes insertion a breeze. But the curves give it this added bit of sensation that drove me absolutely wild. It took me no time at all to find just the right angle for this to tap-dance all over my G-Spot, and make me writhe.

One downside is you do have to keep the volume high for the vibrator to work properly. But if you set it too high, it will just go at a constant hum rather than going with the music. Depending on what you're listening to, I found that 65 to 80% of the volume works best. It didn't kill my ears, at any rate. You do have to pick something with a good bass line or it won't register a whole lot. It also seems to be really picky about what sounds it wants to acknowledge, but I managed to put together a playlist that takes me all the way from "just warming up" to "explosion". There's a remix out there that combines Cascada with Lady Gaga that has never failed to take me to the top!

I suppose it could also be used as a clitoral vibrator, but it's a little too soft for my clit, since I like focused vibration there. Don't let that stop you if you want to use it that way, though!

Material / Texture

The NaughtiBod is made of hard plastic with a smooth, soft, velvety sort of feel to it. There is no seaming or change in texture on the toy portion. Though I did notice a small seam on the base. It doesn't smell like anything, which I always take as a good sign.

I think beginners or advanced users could really get a kick out of this, as the texture and size aren't intimidating in the slightest, but the toy is still tons of fun!

Design / Shape / Size

I love the NaughtiBod's design. It's about 6 or so inches long, with only 4 inches insertable. It's only 1 inch in diameter, and the insertable portion has this wonderful curve to it that I just adore. It comes in four colors: magenta, black, green, and blue (and I think the newer models come in purple). I got the black one, because it just looks so sleek and sexy! The curves make insertion easy, and give it a bit of sensation when you move it in and out of yourself, which is something I much prefer to a slimline vibe.

The size is perfect for anyone to enjoy, as it's noticeable without being intimidating. It's not necessarily discreet, but it's definitely small enough to fit into a purse of suitcase. And the pouch it comes with holds everything, but the ipod you hook it up to. I also keep the spare batteries in my pouch.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibration is felt more towards the center of this one, but you can still feel them well enough. There are two end caps you can use with it: A music-driven cap, and a traditional vibrator cap. The vibrator cap has 7 modes of steady, pulsing, and escalating vibration. It has two buttons on the end: a triangle button to cycle between the seven modes of vibration, and a circle button for instantly turning it off.

The music cap works well, as long as you don't hold onto the cord while you're using it. Because if you accidentally disconnect the cord the vibrator ceases to vibrate, which just isn't good for anyone. The controls on the normal cap work very well, and the instant-off function is a definite plus. If I had to choose something to complain about, it would be the vibrations stopping between songs. But there's not much of a way to fix that, other than crossfading the songs, and that's more Apple's fault than OhMiBod's.

That said, it's not waterproof in the slightest. So you shouldn't take it in the shower or bath.

    • Easy to use
    • Lots of variety in function

Care and Maintenance

The NaughtiBod can be stored in the pouch it comes with, along with the cord and batteries. It should be noted that the new models of this toy run on AAA batteries, rather than impossible-to-find N cells. Also the pouch has a string-clasp to keep everything in place.

It's made of phthalate-free plastic, and can be cleaned with soap and water, toy cleaner, or by wiping it down with rubbing alcohol. I would recommend giving the cord a wipe-down where it attaches to the base, as well. It works with any water-based, silicone-based, or even oil-based lube.

Packaging

The box for the NaughtiBod is adorable. It features the different colored toys on a white background, with an actual size toy on one side, and the OhMiBod logo. It comes with the NaughtiBod itself, both endcaps, four AAA batteries, a 3 foot splitter cord, a pink storage pouch with the OhMiBod name embroidered on it, and an instruction booklet.

It also comes with a one-year warranty against defects, which is always a good thing!

I think it would be cute enough to use as a gift box, but not as a storage box. It's too plastic-y.

Liked your review and am familiar with the null sound between songs. I tend to use ll my OhMiBods without my iPod as a result until I find longer songs. Sorry to hear it isn't rechargeable.

Not clear what you mean about the music and regular caps but I'm sure the product review will answer this question.
