Decent dildo after the weak vibes quit working.

If you're looking for a soft dildo that's waterproof, that MIGHT vibrate softly, this toy is perfect. If you want vibes for sure, look elsewhere, as the vibes on this toy were weak to start, and broken to finish. The remaining component is a great texture play toy though, with a sort of jelly-juicer sort of beginners toy. Great free gift still.

Use

If the vibe worked, it would be good for vaginal, condom-as-retrieval-cord protected anal, clitoral and all over body vibrational excitement. If the toy worked as advertised, though, I think the toy is primarily best and marketed as such for clitoral or vaginal penetration. In my experience, however, the vibe worked only a few days when I first got it, after some research on the battery placement. The vibes were VERY light, regardless of the setting, and would have been great as a teaser, but probably would have been a bit annoyingly light if trying to reach clitoral or vaginal orgasm from the vibes. To be fair though, I have a hard time reaching g-spot orgasm with a toy, and a hard time reaching clitoral orgasm without a vibe. The petite flowers is very bendable/flexible though, and might possibly help some achieve g-spot climax and dare I say clitoral satisfaction at the same time? The wires in my petite flowers seemed too fragile -and proved to be after a month- to bend the vibe that much during use. While the vibes no long work on the petite flowers, the texture of the dildo is nice and works well on its own, and holds the promise of a condom-protected anal probe.

Material / Texture

Cool. Very light jellyish and soft, made out of TPE. The texture is the only thing I'll be using the toy for, since the vibes shit out. I like the texture. I don't think the vibe had a noticeable odor other than sort of a sweet, just opened a barbie box sorta aroma. The material does attract dust/lint, and the texture holds the lint in crevices. I remember the toy was a lot bigger than i thought length and girthwise, when i got it, so note the 'real size' feature on the product page. The material can bend in half, but if your vibes are still working, I'm guessing the wired part of the connection is what keeps having problems with a lot of folks who have one, so bending it might not be good for the toy's shelflife. There are twists of jelly leading to a small nubbed head on the dildo, and the twists feel great when screwed in and out of you, if you're not a major size queen. There are also swirls of flowers on the toy that add more texture, and would feel great on the clitoris if the vibrations still worked. Alas, I didn't use the toy before the vibrations stopped working. On another note, I wikipedia holds the notion that TPE is recyclable, so perhaps TPE is more eco-friendly than I'd originally thought.

Design / Shape / Size

The design is cool. I like the shape. It tapers at the tip, so that would have been good for clitoral pinpointed stimulation, or a less cervix angering internal penetrative experience. The swirls on the sides are cool, and the petals add lots of texture potential. The size is good for any who like the 5.75' length and 1.25' diameter. I think the swirls and texture (with a bit of a drag on the skin feel) make the toy a little bit bigger seeming. After not using sex toys for awhile, the toy needed more than a bit of lube to enter. I like the screw design, like a jelly juicer of sorts. Overall, the toy is a moderate, and appreciably so size and with cool textures. The material is less than safe to use without a condom, as it is porous, and you can't fully sanitize it. The jelly will probably melt or dimple in a year or sooner, but for now, the dildo is a good stand alone (without the advertised less than sustainable vibes) dildo.

Functions / Performance / Controls

When the vibes on the petite flowers worked, they were Verrrry buzzy, faint, and muted through the thick material, and only in the very tip pretty much. The scroll wheel on the base was hard to move, as it lays like an ipod scroll wheel with less give, and on a rounded surface. The modes of vibration seemed to go from, breezy light buzz to slightly excited buzzy. There was a definite difference between the high and low settings, but not noticeable or strong enough for me to be very excited about the toy, being a bit of a power queen myself. I do appreciate any vibration, so did think the toy seemed very relaxed and the vibrations were quiet, so it seemed a perfect gift for a more sensitive friend. I couldn't believe when the toy worked, as I'd read so many poor reviews on EF. I was happy a free toy was working and seeming promising, and tucked it away for a month to regift later.

When I got the toy out for inspection, the vibes would not turn on, no matter the battery placement (batteries both facing opposite directions), cap tightness, or prayers. The toy, during the month of non-use had been stored in it's original packaging, a sturdy bubble configuration, without batteries, and in a dark space far far away from other jelly toys. Not wanting to give a broken toy to a friend, I've decided to keep the flowers and think it's a fine soft dildo, with a sort of jelly juicer function.
The jelly is soft, but firm enough to not be hard to insert even when tight. The dildo does require a bit of lubrication, because of all the flowers and texture. I noticed the petite flowers is a discontinued product, which is understandable, perhaps if the wires from the bullet to the controls were more sturdy or the jelly less bendy the toy would have been more successful in an all around way. The dildo is a nice alternative to the massive ultra tech 4000. The toy is waterproof, with an o-ring and many ringed screw cap, but I only submerged the toy after the vibes were no longer functioning. I don't know that I would trust the toy if it were working in a bathtub, as the cap might screw off with any amount of vigor.
With a condom, because the base is most definitely smaller than the dildo, the petite flowers might be an excellent beginner to moderate to advanced anal toy. But again, with a condom and care only, as the base is smaller than the toy and tapers like the top!! I haven't tried to use the toy anally yet, but will follow up with news.

Care and Maintenance

Because the toy is made of TPE, there is no way to sanitize the product. One can use condoms to help with keeping the product clean, or use soap and warm water or toy cleaner to cut down on grease. The toy is fortunately waterproof, so can be scrubbed without worrying to much about the toy breaking, unless of course, it's already broken. The ridges and swirls on the toy make for many crevices to clean around, which can be a pain. Though, truth be told, when I'm not sharing my toys with partners, (as I haven't with this toy) I don't spend a lot of time on cleanings, and this toy only takes a moment or so to scrub. Though the Petite Flowers is phthalate-free, it is only a bit less worrisome than 'cyberskin'. TPE tends to melt and do other weird things over time, and when exposed to natural conditions such as hot temperatures, bright light, or other similar materials. The very intelligent and witty Violet Blue discusses the phthalate controversy and other sex-toy product safety here. It is also a lint magnet, with many places for lint to gather and settle, the original bubble packaging or other non location is suitable for storage.

Packaging

The toy comes in a plastic see-through box with some springy green and purple flavored designs, with a tray/semi plastic box inside to fit the toy on, in a groove that fits it. Like Buzz Lightyear toys' bubble wrap variety. The toy then peers out the box, with an overall sort of cheap novelty but still not unsightly French 70s design. There is a chance one might not be immediately aware of the toy's sex-toy potential, as the box and toy are very child-friendly in design and marketing. I mean this, because the letters and the toy are very swirly and not sexxed up overtly. There's more of a pastelly birds and the bees and flowers feeling sought and found in the box design. The box is definitely not very impressive, but not raunchy or offensive in my opinion. I was going to regift it to a close friend, and didn't think twice about the packaging, though I don't think packaging would ever stop me from giving a gift to someone; you can always get tissue paper and ribbons duh. The toy might not be a great gift because it might not work though. Also, the box came with no instructions, other than to screw the cap on tightly and enjoy in the water. As mentioned in many other reviews, the battery situation was weird, with no instructions and not any telltale markings. The two AAA batteries worked for a day or so, by placing them in one + up, one - up and screwing the cap tightly. I store the toy in it's original packaging, as it's only slightly more than twice the size of the slim toy and helps reduce lint and shields the toy a bit from heat and other materials that might erode the toy.

Personal comments

I think the toy would have been much better with a silicone material, better wiring, and stronger vibrations. The design and concept is good enough for the dildo to be satisfying without the vibes, especially as a free gift from ef.

Experience

I have only used the toy since the vibes stopped working, so unfortunately I nor my friend got to experience the very light-touch vibrations. As is, the dildo is a good material for thrusting though, as it is sort of soft and has a lot of texture. The toy, while it does bend in any position, (THOUGH IF YOUR TOY HAS WORKING VIBES, I WOULD CONSIDER THE RISK OF BENDING THE INTERNAL WIRES AND HOW THAT MIGHT AFFECT THE ABILITY OF THE TOY TO VIBRATE) doesn't hold different positions, like the g-ki is said to. I haven't had any luck with toys bringing me to a g-spot orgasm, I will continue to try and write a follow up promptly if the petite flowers succeeds. So far the toy is just great for sensation play, with the screw design providing me with an idea of what a juicer (e.g.gold spiral wrapped juicer) might be like. I have yet to use the toy in the shower, but will hopefully very soon.
Follow-up commentary
The vibrations on my petite flowers started working again! By blessed way of energizer batteries, screwing the cap on tight and chance. The vibes are more subtle than my other vibrator, the ivibe, so I have some variety when I reach for a vibrator. The vibrations vary from low buzzy to a moderate buzzy, usually with two vibration speeds very distinguishable (though, sometimes depending on how carefully I spin the wheel and how tight the cap is on, there is more of a noticeable gradient of vibration between lowish and moderately highish).
I love to play with the petite flowers as both a clitoral vibe and dildo. The toy is super flexible and would probably reach to be both vaginally and clitorally stimulating at the same time (a la g-ki esque) though I worry about the vibrations shorting out again. I try not to bend the vibe so much and rather use it either for clitoral or vaginal play. The vibrations are very faint, so aren't felt that much when used vaginally. The added stimulation is always nice though, as I love any and all vibrations generally. I also love the flower nubs on the vibe, as they hug my clit well when I use the vibe externally.
I have used the vibe in the tub and shower, and the blossoms only multiplied. I do prefer the bathtub when using the petite flowers, though, as it takes a little longer to bring me to orgasm and I'd rather not waste so much water in the shower (on avg 5 gallons/min in a shower or 25-30 gallon bathtub) and take my time in the tub. Plus, when I use the petite flowers in the tub, the vibe sort of floats up when I use just the tip for clit scrubbing and thus I don't have to hold the whole dildo and can maneuver it better; sort of holding it like a marker and stenciling a rhythmic ebb on my spot.
The petite flowers is verrrry quiet. Out of the water it cannot be heard through a blanket and not through closed doors if not directly on the other side of said door. The vibe cannot be heard over my shower (typical fare shower head, etc) nor in the tub. While in the tub with the vibe, I had to listen very hard to hear it. When I did, it sounded more like a low hum. Sort of like a kitty's purr.
