Definitely Helped My Kegels! But, Not Recommended for the Novice.

Although these were my first Kegel balls and a gift I appreciated, I would not recommend Pleasure Pearls for the Kegel novice. However, once you've had some practice with a dildo or large Kegel exercisers, I would highly recommend giving Pleasure Pearls a try. They will challenge you while being easy to hide and take on trips.

Use

The Pleasure Pearls are a pair of beautiful, white, plastic Kegel exerciser balls. They are 3/4" in diameter and weigh about an ounce or ounce and a half each. (This information is important for deciding if this product is for you or not.) Based on these dimensions (and my *limited* experience with Kegel balls), I would not recommend this product for someone who is a novice at Kegels. The general rule is to start with a large single ball (preferably with a retrieval string) and work your way up to two connected balls (or a dumbbell-shaped exerciser). After working up to two large balls, you can work "up" to smaller balls without retrieval strings. Given this general rule, the Pleasure Pearls are a more advanced Kegel product.

Like other Kegel exercisers, you use the Pleasure Pearls by inserting one or both into the vagina (while standing or kneeling and use your vaginal wall muscles to try to hold them in as long as you can. If you haven't worked your Kegel muscles before, you'll want to find them before inserting a Kegel ball. (These are the muscles you use to stop peeing or "hold it". You can also find them by inserting a dildo and squeeze down to hold the dildo in place. The latter technique is a good way to start exercising your Kegels if you already have a dildo, but not a Kegel exerciser.) Don't be surprised if the Pleasure Pearl pops right back out the first few times you insert it. Even if you've used dildos and/or larger Kegel balls, you may still have some difficulty at first with smaller balls.

One safety precaution: These Kegel balls can be a bit scary since they don't have a retrieval string and are rather small. It's understandable to be worried that these balls might get stuck in your vagina. Don't be. Unless you are close to giving birth, it's highly unlikely these balls would be able to get past the cervix. However, if you get nervous and panic while using these, it is possible for your Kegels to clench and not let go until you relax. If this happens, try to relax by laying down and breathing normally. If that doesn't work, you can try pushing or jumping up and down (be sure to bend the knees). (Jumping up and down while holding these in is also a good advanced exercise.)

Material / Texture

The Pleasure Pearls are small, white Kegel balls made of a non-porous plastic. They are smooth and look reasonably like large pearls. (At least enough that anyone happening upon these in a drawstring bag or in a drawer will just assume that they are lightweight marbles or pearl craft beads. (This makes them easy to hide in plain sight or take with you while you travel.) The size of these Kegel balls (at 3/4" in diameter) make them best suited for more advanced users.

Design / Shape / Size

As I've already said, the Pleasure Pearls are white plastic Kegel balls of approximately 3/4" diameter. Personally, I love the look of these! The oyster case has a classy look to it without being gaudy. The balls themselves are a nice, simple look that stands out from other Kegel balls. Being plastic rather than metal also means that they are easier to warm up and won't be cold even if inserted right out of the packaging. (I nearly jumped out of skin once after inserting a metal Kegel ball. What felt room temperature to my fingers, was like doctor's instrument cold when inserted.)

These were a gift and my first Kegel balls, so I had a steep learning curve and almost quit using them since they just kept popping out at first. So, I would recommend novices start with a larger Kegel ball (~1" in diameter or more) with a retrieval string and work your way to smaller balls without strings. However, once you get to this level, the Pleasure Pearls are a beautiful product that you'll enjoy exercising with.

Performance

The best aspect of the Pleasure Pearls is a tie between the design/color and the fact that these are a great Kegel ball to work up to. I like the white color and versatility of plastic Kegel balls.

The only negative really is these are a bit too small for the novice Kegel diva. Take my advice and work up to these beautiful pearls.

Care and Maintenance

Like most Kegel balls, these are very easy to clean and maintain. Simply wipe off or run under the water, and you're good to go. You can store them in the oyster case or in a small drawstring bag. They will be your lowest maintenance sex product.
