All in all this toy is the best for beginners its very smooth very affordable and just all around a great toy I suggest everyone own one of these toys.

Use

The Velvet Touch is good for insertion or clitoral stimulation - really, whatever you'd prefer. And, it's ideal for beginners or people who want to introduce toys into a situation with a partner who is unfamiliar with using them. And, have I mentioned that it's water proof? You'll enjoy showering that much more having this with you. This is great for people like me, who enjoy a lot of firmness internally, but probably not for someone who needs more "give". Its slim size allows it to sit nicely on the clitoris to vibrate and slide smoothly into the vagina for thrusting and more vibration.

Material / Texture

The Velvet Touch has no smell or taste. It's made of PU (polyurethane) coated plastic, and is phthalates free. I would recommend it not only to toy beginners, but to women looking to try insertion for the first time as well. The entire shaft is smooth, straight, and simple, making it ideal for beginners or people just looking for a traditional vibe to add to their collection. It is perfect for all over stimulation, but I have found it ideal for simple penetration and clitoral stimulation.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape is classic and simple: it's a vibrator. With 6 insertable inches, it's a nice length, plenty to insert while leaving enough room for a hand to control it. Its 3 inch circumference makes it perfect for beginners, or for anyone who likes a slim toy. It's small and pretty sturdy, so I think it would hold up well packed carefully in a suitcase. For the cost, it is an amazing choice and one I'd encourage anyone to try, particularly as a first vibe.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Velvet Touch runs on two AA batteries. Vibration is easily increased and decreased with a dial on the end. The vibration is fast and buzzy. It's neither particularly quiet nor loud; close the door and no one will hear it. It really is waterproof, and the velvet coating combined with water makes for a sensuous experience. I prefer it at the lowest setting most often, because I find the higher settings too strong to enjoy them as much. But, others may disagree.

Care and Maintenance

This toy, due to its simple design and safe material, is super easy to keep clean. The Velvet Touch should be washed with warm water and soap or toy cleaner. It plays well with both water-based and silicone-based lubricants.

Packaging

The Velvet Touch comes in a clear plastic box just big enough to hold it, and not good for storage. There's nothing wrong with the packaging, but nothing special either. The instructions are all about battery insertion, which is easy to figure out without reading them. Here's a friendly reminder make sure to close it tightly after putting the batteries in to be sure no water can enter and ruin the vibe.

This was one of our first toys that we ever purchesed and we still use it almost every time we play around.My gf absolutly loves the vibrations from this toy.i also have to say this toy is great on batteries were only on the second set.

  • Getting rid of stains on my Velvet Touch vibe?

      Hi, I accidentally used my Velvet touch vibrator during my period (like I started going and I didn't notice that I was already spotting). Since then it has some mild yellowing (I got it in lavander) and I don't know how to get rid of the stains! It does not seem to have an odor or anything, but does anyone have any tips on how I can get rid of the stains? I love this toy and its my first and only one I own, but I'm so annoyed with the staining!

      Any help would be appreciated!
    • You could try cleaning it with a bleach solution, but honestly it might just be stained. I'd say that if it doesn't smell and you've cleaned it real well, that might just be it. It won't affect the usability at all though, which is good. :)

      Cherry, In what ways does it stop working fast? Do you mean that the battery dies quickly? Or that the machine itself is faulty? I've had this toy for over four years, only had to change the battery once, and it has remained clean, odorless, retained its color, vibrations are as strong as when I first purchased/used it, and it never malfunctioned on it. Although it's a very inexpensive toy, it has outlasted all others in pleasure and in worth! Go for it!
    • I had mine for at least a year before it stopped working. When it stopped working, there was rust under the twisting part of the cap, so I likely caused it to stop working by not being careful when washing it. This was a FABULOUS toy when I had it, and I would buy another if I needed another basic vibe. For $13, you can't really go wrong. Don't abuse it (drop it, get the cap or insides wet) and it should last quite a while.
