This toy was definitely designed
I will be the first to admit, I did not take this toy seriously at all when I first saw it. The body of the vibrator itself is hot pink with glitter, the bulb is also hot pink and covered with hearts, and the release valve for the pump is also pink and shaped like a heart. Plus, it’s called the
Advanced Clitoral Pump. I did not have high hopes for this one.
I was pleasantly surprised!
Upon further examination of the glitter-filled shaft, I noticed the toy is of fairly heavy plastic and seems well constructed. Unlike many suction-based pussy vibrators, there is not a separate battery pack with a cord--the 2 AAA batteries fit right into the handle of the shaft, so the only cord you have to deal with is the one from the pump. Nice touch! (Said pump cord is about 15” long.) The handle of the shaft flexes in the neck so you do not have to be as concerned with putting pressure on it, and has a single button that controls the 3 vibrator speeds, which range from a gentle vibration to a pretty intense stimulation. Again, I was surprised at the power of the vibrator--things were definitely looking better!
I had assumed the part of the toy that fit over your clitoris was jelly, but it is TPR Silicone. This still is porous and cannot be sterilized, so I do not recommend sharing this toy, but it is phthalates free. Also, if you use lube, which I did not find it needed and might affect the suction, use water-based lubes only. It also comes with two interchangeable sleeves for the suction--one fairly smooth with a single raised nub, and the other lined with ticklers. I, of course, decided to try the one with ticklers.
The trick to this toy is in its title--it is a
clitoral pump, and really only works when fastened firmly over the clitoris itself; it does not hook well onto the labia at all. You need to really get in there with this one, ladies! However, when you fasten it onto your clitoris and pump the suction up, the feeling can really get quite intense; once I added the vibrations, the ticklers were enough to send me over the edge quite quickly and strongly!
It can be somewhat tricky getting the pump to take hold and stay in place at first--you need to really press the lips of the sleeve firmly against your flesh in order to get it to take hold. The suction seems nonexistent until you finally DO get it to start working; then you can pump this thing up very firmly!
All I can say is do not judge this toy by its appearance or name; it is a surprisingly powerful and effective clitoral stimulator that can create amazing orgasms when used properly!
It's a great idea, and also makes for easy cleaning!
Another sex toy for Barbie, eh? I like the idea of interchangeable sleeves, though. That's unique.
It's absolutely hideous, even worse in person, I think. But I loved the experience!
I have to say I was a little shocked when I say this toy. Way too much pink and foo foo, even for someone who doesn't care about pink either way. The looks are very put-offish, so great to hear that it works well. I may pick this up and use it in conjunction with a blindfold :P
It's well worth it, Betty. Just try not to look at it.
I was also a little skeptical looking just at the image and basic description. Thanks for the great review, I think I may have to try this one
Beautiful Dreamer - the suction's not strong enough to cause discomfort, at least for me
Oggins - heh, I hope you enjoy it if you get around to trying it! I know the feeling about the ever-expanding wishlist!
Epiphora - As Innocently said, the pumping action does create a strong suction that engorges the clit and makes it very sensitive. The actual stimulation comes from the ticklers and the fairly strong vibrations. Normally ticklers don't do much for me, but these are placed directly on your clit, which is hyper-sensitive to begin with. I haven't yet been disappointed with this toy!
Innocently - You know, right after I posted this review I realized I forgot to address cleaning, but had a headache and crashed out early. Thanks for bringing it up. Actually, the TPR sleeve comes off the vibrating shaft, so you can clean it easily. I usually use Before & After Toy Cleaner, but with the little ticklers on this I decided to just run it under hot water and soap it up well with antibacterial soap. It's very flexible, so I was able to turn it inside out as well for cleaning. I left it to air-dry overnight after a good rinsing. Hope this helps, and sorry it wasn't in the review to begin with! :(
Epiphora: Have you ever sucked your skin, bringing your blood to surface? I think i works like that. Rather like a penis pump, I would think.
I'm still kinda confused about what these things do. Do they just get your clit hard, or do they actually stimulate it somehow?
I've always been really undecided about clitoral pumps. I've never heard of any being good until now! Heck, I'm willing to give it a try! It's going in my wishlist along with....I forget how many other things!
The thought of these for some reason has always terrified me. Thanks for another great review!
I've always thought clitoris pumps were interesting. There are doctors who suggest pumps for sexually dysfunctional women.
My inner hypochondriac whines "it shall nevah be cleeeean!" Heh, I guess, you'd just spray toy cleaner on it. XD
Thanks for the great review. I wonder it'd work on me . . . the cup seems rather large for someone like me.
