Drop The Bass!
I am happy that I started with this toy because it allowed me to discover what kind of vibrations I preferred. Whether it be musically inspired vibrations or the ones that were programmed into the toy. It may come in only one color, but it's definitely diverse.Published: November 4, 2011

Looking for a sleek and smooth beginning toy and happen to have a love for music too? With this toy you can feel your music physically and let it pleasure other parts of your body, besides your ears. This is an excellent toy for beginners because it is only 1" in diameter and 5" in insertable length.
When you first get this toy, it comes with a plush pink storage bag, two silver toy screw caps, a cable that can connect from the toy screw cap to your music play that has a standard headphone jack, and a two way headphone adapter that allows you to listen to the music while it is connected to the vibrator.
The vibrator is a white, hard plastic toy that is nonporous and requires two AA batteries. I found Energizer batteries did not fit very well, and that the Rayovac batteries fit the best. Upon inserting the batteries, when the cap is screwed all the way on, the vibrator will vibrate once to let you know it is ready. One cap allows you to use the toy without a music player. This cap has a circle and a triangle button. The triangle is how you turn it on. Pushing the triangle once gives it a low intensity vibration, push it again you get a medium vibration, push it yet again and you get a third very intense vibration. It has three continuous vibration settings, then if you keep pushing the triangle button you get some pulsating settings that will have you anticipating and wanting more until it throws you over the edge. If at anytime you want to stop just press the circle button.
The second cap has a headphone jack that you use with the double ended cable that it comes with to connect your music player to your vibrator. Turning the volume up and down increases the intensity of the vibrations. I found that songs that are upbeat and have a lot of bass in them give the best vibrations. I didn't really use my vibrator with my ipod and found that I liked the pulsating settings that the "circle/triangle" button cap let me use much more to my preference.
Cleaning this toy is easiest with a toy cleaner because this toy is not waterproof, which makes it a little harder to clean. To clean it, keep the cap screwed on tight and only run the shaft part under water and wash with soap; you can also use your favorite toy cleaner.
This toy is very smooth in texture with no drag when rubbed against your palm. To use internally, it would be a good idea to use a form of lube. With yourself and your toy lubed, insertion is very smooth. Since this toy is all plastic, it can be slippery when trying to change settings with the buttons. This is one of the downsides that I found with this toy. I would recommend having a hand towel with you if you think you will be getting messy with your lube. I think if this toy was made waterproof near the cap and/or textured buttons, it would greatly improve this toy. It's a good toy for people who do not like the slight drag that silicone gives, but is still made out of safe material.

Experience
This was my first vibrator, and it opened my world to new possibilities. At first this toy was pretty quiet; but for over 2 years this was my only toy and I definitely wore it out. It started becoming much louder. If you decide to order this toy, make sure you are careful not to get it too wet and do not store it with the batteries inside because it will drain them. My "Ohmibod" has finally given its life up after three years. For as much as I put it through I'm surprised that it lasted this long because I did not store it properly and think I may have gotten some water in it when I was cleaning it (I clean all my toys under running hot water and anti-bacterial soap).

I got nervous and took it off and the batteries out. Help!!!the unit should not heat up like that when plugged in. one of the reasons that it would do this is if the batteries were placed in the device backward causing a short in the circuitry that converts the audio signal into a higher dc power signal for the motor. always use the standard non headphone cover and test to see if the unit works before using the headphone adapter.
if the unit does not work with the standard cover the batteries might be in wrong, once it works with the standard cap switch to the music cap and try a source like a mp3 player/PC/ something with a standard headphone jack. the iphones have a bit of a different headphone jack style with an extra set of contacts for the iphone headsets so if the jack does not go fully in may cause a short in the vibrator.

To me, it seems like that would be a better use than in private. Seems like the novelty would wear off if you only used it alone.

I was wondering if anyone knows if a phone with an mp3 player built in would work with an OhMiBod vibrator?
-
I replied to your post in the other thread in which you asked this question, but here it is again.
The reviews on the product page state:
"If you don’t have any kind of portable mp3 player, the Naughti Nano can be used with any CD player, computer, or other device that has an audio out option (small jack) for headphones."
From Sammi's review, which can be read here. -
Yeah, it can. The only thing that the OhMiBod "links" into is your headphone jack. If it can take a headphone jack, you're good.

Thank you for viewing OhMiBod – traditional vibrator review page!

These would be better if they were waterproof...but I guess I wouldn't want to risk getting my iPod wet so I'm not sure I'd use this in water anyway. The ones I can use in water make me paranoid.
