Elbow length fingerless gloves - glove discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Breas

I was really excited to get the Elbow Length Fingerless Gloves by Leg Avenue because I’ve never owned a pair of sexy gloves before and just could not wait to wear them! The gloves are available in either black or white and are one size fits most. I have both the black, and white pair.

The packaging is simple. The gloves arrived in a long, flat, transparent, plastic packaging with a cardboard piece at the very top that has the brand and product name. The back of the cardboard has the same information as well as the care instructions.



Inside of the packaging, the gloves were neatly placed on thin pieces of cardboard with little cardboard fingers.



The gloves are made of 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The material is quite thin, and is a bit stiff. I have not washed them yet so I am unsure if this will go away after being washed. I did not find the material to irritate my skin at all. If you wear fake nails, be careful when handling the gloves as they are quite delicate and will snag very easily. The pattern on the gloves is pretty, but it is not the same pattern that is shown on the product page stock photo. Honestly, I like the pattern I received much better than the stock photo pattern anyway.

opening of glove: 4 ½ inches
length of glove (from opening of glove to tip of middle finger sleeve): 13 ½ inches
length of wrist: 3 ¾ inches

Before purchasing these, I had read that they were a bit baggy, but I was okay with that. I assumed that with the gloves being “one size fits most”, they would probably fit a bit better on me since I wear size XL in clothing (most one size fits most lingerie from Leg Avenue is tight on me). My assumption was wrong. When I tried the gloves on, there was quite a bit of room in the arm area.





You can see in the photo above that the gloves gather in certain areas because they are loose on my arms. Also, there is no stretchy band in the glove at the opening, so they are able to slip down my forearm with ease. You’ll also notice that stitching near the opening of the glove is very uneven (and on the inside of the glove, it already is coming loose). Even though there is a lot of extra room in the gloves, that wasn’t the part that bothered me.





Above is a photo of how the gloves fit my fingers. This is where I have a bit of an issue. If you look closely at my index finger (pointer finger), you’ll notice that the sleeve for that finger is really tight. It’s so tight on that finger that when I bend my finger while wearing the gloves, the index finger has a bit of a “muffin top” (which means a bit of the skin hangs over the side). While looking at the same photo, if you shift your view to my thumb, you’ll see that it’s quite baggy on that finger. The rest of the finger sleeves fit my fingers just like the thumb (a bit baggy and loose), while the index finger sleeve on both hands are uncomfortably tight.

I’m not sure if it is because they are my first pair of sexy gloves, but I still like them even though there are a few flaws to them. The only real problem I had was the index finger being tight. The baggy arm is fine with me, because I’d prefer them a bit loose rather then if they were too be too tight where I would be unable to wear them.

When washing the gloves, the instructions say to hand wash the gloves separately, drip-dry, and to not bleach them.

I’ve given the gloves a 3 star rating out of 5. I really enjoy them, but the tight index finger made the product lose a star. The other star that the product lost is due to the fact that they are very baggy. Like I said before, I don’t mind the baggy area but I know that this could be something that would make-or-break the deal when considering purchasing this item for others.

I will absolutely wear these again because my partner really loved them on me (he didn’t notice the tightness on the one finger). Until I get another pair of gloves that fit a bit better, these will do just fine.
