The Classic Chic by California Exotic Novelties is a little gem of a toy made for g-spot stimulation. While it's marketed more for women due to the g-spot curve, the instructions state to insert it vaginally or anally, thus making it a toy usable by either gender. Certain settings feel great against other body parts such as the neck, breasts, nipples and other easily-stimulated areas.

This toy is best for beginners or people that just want a simple toy with some variety. It's not a large toy, so buyers that want something more than small and simple should look elsewhere.

At first glance, this toy is flawless and beautiful to look at. Taking it out of the package, it's smooth to the touch, velvety beneath my fingers. It has a light plastic scent when held directly under the nose and a stronger scent when uncapped and sniffed. It doesn't leave even a trace of that scent on your hands when you're finished playing with it. This little toy is completely tasteless.

There is no flexibility to this toy. It's made of a rigid, hot pink PU-coated ABS plastic. It's got a silver-plated decorative ring around the base and a silicone push button control. If you look closely, it does have a seam running the length of either side of the toy, but it's undetectable when in use. There is no texture to speak of as this is one of the softest toys I've ever owned. This toy can get a bit of a greasy look to it after play or handling it for extended time. That look goes away once it's washed.

Speaking just for the material and texture, this toy can be used and thoroughly enjoyed by users of all experience levels. For beginners, it'll be a gateway to other toys and more excitement. For more advanced users, it'll be a nice change of pace from time to time.

Other safety features worth mentioning are that it's a latex-free and phthalate-free toy.

The Classic Chic is designed like a sex toy. It's not overtly phallic, but anyone that has ever seen a sex toy will know what this is. If discretion is a must, tuck it away. It can be stored easily enough in a purse or bag for travel, but take the batteries out first. The controls aren't really easy to push, but if pressed up against something hard enough this toy will turn on.

By my measurements, it's 5 1/2 inches in length. 4 1/2 of those inches are insertable before you hit the ridge for the base of the toy. It's 1 inch wide at the shaft of the toy and 1 1/2 inches wide at the base. The insertable portion of this toy is 3 1/4 inches around and 4 inches around the base. I would call this a petite toy.

At the base of this toy there is a silver-plated ring separating the screw on cap from the push button control. If you have allergies to silver or metals, you should probably steer clear of this toy.

The Classic Chic Vibrator has 7 functions powered by 2 AAA batteries and a push button on the base of the toy. The controls are conveniently located within the reach of your thumb during play, so no stopping to maneuver your hand around to change the settings. The button is easy to push, but not so easy that it's able to be brushed against and have your setting change. You cannot go backwards with this toy. If you miss a setting, you have to go all the way through them to find what you're looking for.

As well as easy to use, this toy is also quiet. It can't be heard through closed doors and is barely audible when held a distance away from your head. This surprised me because the whole toy vibrates and I assumed it would be louder.

It's fully able to be submerged in water, so it's a handy toy for bath or shower time. The buttons are just as easy to push under water as they are out of water.

Getting back to these 7 functions, I'll try to explain each click as best as I can.

* Click 1 turns the toy on and delivers you a fast-paced, steady vibration. I'd describe this setting as medium/moderate speed.
* Click 2 maintains the speed but adds a pulsating sensation.
* Click 3 stays at the same speed but alternates between steady vibration and the pulsating sensation of click 2.
* Click 4 pulsates fast for a few seconds, decreases to longer pulsating and then goes back to a fast pulsating pattern.
* Click 5 increases the speed for a short time then gradually decreases to a medium then slow speed then back to the increased speeds. This is just a steady vibration, no pattern involved.
* Click 6 is short, choppy pulsing alternated with long, choppy pulsing on a medium speed setting.
* Click 7 delivers fast, choppy pulsing followed by constant fast speed, then back to fast pulsations.
*Click 8 turns the vibrator off.

Because this toy is made of PU-coated ABS plastic, it's very easy to care for and maintain. Remove the batteries after use to ensure longevity, and simply wash with soap and warm water or any toy cleaner. Be sure to clean this toy with the cap closed to ensure that the inside stays dry. You can dry this toy any way you choose. I simply let mine air dry, but a cloth or towel would work fine and speed up the process.

Once your toy is dry, you can store it anywhere that you store toys. It comes in a handy plastic tray that makes storage a breeze, but it's safe to just put it in any clean place that you choose.

Be sure to wash this toy before and/or after use to ensure cleanliness. If you're sharing this toy with others or using it anally, use condoms or proper toy covers. PU-coated ABS plastic is compatible only with water- and silicone-based lubricants, so steer clear of any oil-based lubricants when using this toy.

This toy is packaged in a clear plastic box that's rectangular in shape. It's not a discreet package. It shows the toy inside through the front of the box and states what's inside on either side and the back of the box. This packaging can be used as a storage box for this particular toy, especially if you use the plastic tray insert made for this vibe. If giving as a gift, be sure that the gift-getter is alone when this is gifted unless they're not easily embarrassed about receiving a sex toy.







This packaging comes complete with instructions for use, care and maintenance in English as well as several other languages. This package gives no indication that it, the packing tray, or the toy itself are recyclable, so discard with caution.

When I got this toy I was a little disappointed in the size, but I soon realized that it really isn't the size that has to matter. It's not my favorite toy and it's not my go-to toy, but it is a nice little variation from my status quo and regular toys. I'll continue to alternate this toy with some of my old favorites and hope that it gets rotated to the front of my toy box often.
