First sex toy let down.
They come elegantly packaged, they look sexy having them in my toy box, but as far as making me feel sexy, or feel anything else, I was quite disappointed. I gave this a rating of 2 for the simple fact of the packaging, and look of the balls.Published: October 19, 2009
Pros:

Really could not feel them inside of me. Not an easy retrieval.
Kegel exercises are medically recommended for women with a range of slight problems arising from there PC muscles (pubococcygeus muscles), urinary incontinence, and recommended for use in pregnant woman to strengthen the vaginal muscles for childbirth. I myself simply have practiced Kegels to keep things nice and tight and in shape down there just for the simple added satisfaction during sex.
Kegel exercises are easy and not all that arousing, and the rumors of Ben Wa balls providing stimulation while inside the wearer was appealing to me. I also thought that maybe they would kick those Kegel exercises up a notch. So I ordered the Glass Ben Wa Balls.
“What beautiful packaging, such sexy looking little things”
These were my first thoughts when opening up my BenWa balls. They are made of clear Pyrex glass which is hypoallergenic, extremely smooth and nonporous. There is a very pretty dainty feminine flower set in the middle of the glass, and come in a very nice velvet lined box for storing them. So far so good; after cleaning them with some warm soapy water I decided to give them a try. Being made of Pyrex you can clean with anti-bacterial soap and water toy cleaner or with boiling water. These balls measure about 3 1/4” in circumference, which make them very easy to insert. After insertion, I did a few Kegels and really felt nothing. So I left them in while I did some things around the house and watched some TV, and still they provided no stimulation as rumored and really provided no extra benefit while doing Kegels.
The point is to hold them in using your PC muscles. That in itself was no challenge. The challenging part is when I wanted to take them out. The first one came out fine, but the second one had worked it way up a little bit. I found my self trying harder to get it out than hold it in.
Overall, I am not extremely impressed with them; they are a sexy little addition to my toy box as far as looking at them, but really gave me no extra stimulation while wearing them or doing Kegels. Possibly they would be more effective if they were larger; these balls are about the size of a marble. Other than the beautiful and sexy packaging and look of the balls I would have to say this is one of my least favorite purchases.

Still wanting to give these little beauties a chance, I got them back out. This last time using them I ran them under cold water to get them nice and cold before insertion. While the sensation of the cold glass entering me and heating up while in side is enjoyable, I still can get no real benefit from using these balls. I must say I have found myself using them more as meditation balls then I have as Ben Wa balls.

Different Designs-Ben Wa Glass Balls

I was wondering if anyone knows whether or not the Ben Wa glass balls come with different flowers inside of them? Is it just one of those "You get what you get, theres all different ones" kind of thing? Or are they all the same with the yellow flower inside of them? Just wondered, because if they come with different ones, Im almost tempted to buy a few sets and try to collect them all! LMAO! They look so beautiful :)

I'm not 100% sure but I assume that it's just the one design.
If you take a link at this link: link, you'll see that the Crystal Balls (which I have) have two separate designs inside of them so they are both listed.
I'd think that if they had different designs, EF would list them to give the buyer then option of which one they'd prefer. Then again, I'm not totally sure since I do not own these so don't quote me lol :P -

Now I'm thinking the smaller balls would be harder to keep inside..therefore working the muscles more than the larger ben wa balls would....but a few reviews said these are good for beginners....why? My muscles are weak probably, wouldn't i need to work myway to the smaller ones?

I've had my eye on the kegelcisor for a lil' while. It seems to be useful for beginner's onward.

What you are saying makes sense and is how I would think about it too. If they are smaller, they would require more muscle strength keeping them inside. I think the logic behind they are good for beginners is they are small, so they go in easily, so a beginner wouldn't have issues with the size, but they could if they can't keep them inside. I have never used Ben was Balls. I like the Duo balls. They are nice. I would look at these.

Assuming you are talking about vaginal sex, I think one really obvious con would be that they would get crammed high up into the vaginal canal and it might be difficult to get them back out.

Ben Wa Balls Falling Out

I have had the problem of either the ben wa balls going to far up the vaginal canal, or the balls falling out if I wear them during normal everyday activity. I have fairly strong pelvic floor muscles, but I think these particular balls are almost too light weight for wearing during normal functioning, though I have yet to progress to a heavier weight. Would this solve the problem?

I'm looking at them for vaginal use, though---without a retrieval device of some kind, I'd be skeptical about anal use.

I'd avoid glass balls and use metal. Although we have a ton of glass dildos and love them - having pieces of glass clanging together frequently seems like a recipe for micro-cracks eventually resulting in failure (breakage).

Ben Wa Balls Being Lost?

How often would you say that these balls COULD get lost inside of you? I'm really nervous that I'll have to go to the E.R. or something if I cannot find them inside of me. It creeps me out that they're in there, unattached to anything. Although I really am interested in using them for purposes of better sex.

Most times I find that with my vaginal balls I can push them out by using my muscles, it's basically the same muscles you use to make a BM. If you have had kids, it's the same muscles that you use to push a baby out. Bearing down like that should help push a ball to the point that you can grab it.
That being said, there are plenty of vaginal exercisers that have retrieval cords. Smartballs, Luna Beads, Emigi, etc. Maybe check out one of those if it'd make you feel more comfortable. -
I have these, and I admit the first time I used these I was afraid they were not going to come back out. I used the same technique that Alicia recommended and it was fine. I have yet to try an exerciser with a retrieval cord but I will in the future to make things easier.

Thanks for the comment, and yes a retrieval cord would make them much more user friendly. I am thinking about trying the Ophoria K-balls #10 next, hopefully I will have better luck with those!!!

Yea I was a little upset they didn't' work out too!!! They are pretty little things though!!! I actually read the reviews between the K-Balls and the smart balls and I ended up adding the smart balls to my cart, Should be ordering them here shortly, once I get them and try them out I will post a review!!! Hopefully they work out better for me!!!
Nice review and I have to say I had the same problem with the metal balls. Do wish I bought these since they are cute. I would suggest you not give up on the idea and take a look at Carrie Anne's review of the Luna beads, I think that's the correct name.
