First Time Softee Pleaser Review

The First Time Softee Pleaser did not do it for me. It's weak, yet loud. It's picks up lint like nothing I've seen before, and feels like it'll break at any moment. With all its faults though, it's a nice little teaser toy, and it may be good for some. At this price, it's worth a try.

Use

The First Time Softee Pleaser is a small, simple toy that seems to be geared towards beginners -- though more experienced toy users may find enjoyment with it, as well.

The angled tip of the First Time Softee Pleaser is excellent for g-spot stimulation, however users can also use this toy for clitoral stimulation. It is also possible to use this as a massager on one's nipples, or other sensitive areas of the body.

I would not recommend this toy for anal usage, due to the fact that there is no base.

Material / Texture

The vibrator is made out of hard plastic, with a removable TPE sleeve. TPE rates as a 6 on the safety scale, and is hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phtalates free. That said, TPE is still slightly porous, so it is recommended that you use a condom with this toy if you plan on sharing it.

Upon opening the toy, I noticed a faint smell from the TPE sleeve, however the smell has gone away after washing. I did not notice any taste to this toy, though I don't make a habit of licking my toys.

The TPE sleeve has a slight drag to it, so I would recommend using lube. Both water and silicone based lubricants are suitable for this toy.

The hard plastic of the core makes the toy quite rigid, however the TPE sleeve allows for a bit of flexibility in the tip, which can feel nice against one's g-spot. Along with being flexible, the TPE sleeve also has ridges on it, which allows for moderate texture without being overwhelming. Personally, I could not feel the texture while the toy was inside of me, but your experience may differ.

Design / Shape / Size

At 6 1/4" long and 1 1/4" in diameter, this toy is not intimidating. 5 1/4" of this toy is insertable, making it a good size for beginners, but not quite large enough for size queens.

The shape of this toy works well for its purpose. The angled tip works well for g-spot stimulation, but it was not enough for me.

The small size makes this toy easy to hide, and to travel with.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy runs on two AAA batteries. To put the batteries in, you simply unscrew the cap, insert, and then screw it back on. Once the batteries are in, turn the dial at the bottom of the cap to turn the toy on. As you turn the dial, the vibrations are supposed to increase, however I couldn't really tell the difference between the lowest setting, and the highest, vibration wise. The sound, however, did increase dramatically as I turned the dial. At the highest setting, the vibrator sounded as though something was wrong -- it was both rattling and buzzing, and not in a good way.

If you do decide to use this toy with the sleeve removed, you can expect both the noise and vibration levels to increase -- be aware that the toy does sound like it's broken without the sleeve.

Care and Maintenance

Before you play with this toy, you should give it a good rinse to get rid of any lint that may have landed on it.

Once you're done with playtime, cleaning is fairly easy. Simply apply a toy cleaner, or use warm water and antibacterial soap, and you're good to go. I, personally, have been using EdenFantasy's toy cleaner wipes to clean this after use.

When it comes to storing this toy, I would store it in a pouch, or plastic baggy. This will help to keep lint off of it.

Packaging

This toy is packaged in your basic plastic clam-shell casing. The package does not specifically state that it's a vibrator, but the toy is visible, so it's not discreet at all.

If you were to decide to give this toy as a gift to someone, I'd recommend wrapping it nicely, as the packaging on this is not really visually appealing.

Personal comments

This is a hard review for me to write as I'm not really crazy about the product. It's just not the right toy for me -- thankfully there are plenty of others out there to try.
Follow-up commentary
I really wanted to learn to love this toy, but it looks like it's just not meant to be. The more I use it, the more it sounds like it's about to break.

I have used this toy dozens of times and it has not yet brought me to climax — or even close to climaxing. I guess it's just not powerful enough for me.

For me, this toy doesn't even feel good as a teaser, there's just not enough to it. I think it's time for this toy and I to part ways, as the space in my toy box could be put to better use. And anyway, life is too short for toys that just don't get the job done.
