Flashbang

The Flash is a great toy. It's small, easy to hide and store. While it doesn't have much in the way of texture, it makes up for that with the functionality of it's vibrations. Given how it can be used to stimulate a woman or a man, I would think this one is best as a toy for couples to play with. You can make a game out of stimulating one another with it.

Use

I feel that the Flash has two real uses. First as a g-spot and clitoral stimulator. Second as an anal plug. It has a good thickness to it, and is easy to insert. The little spike on it is positioned for rubbing against a clit, but can also rub beneath a man's balls if he were to use this toy.

Material / Texture

The Flash is made of silicone, and has a smooth velvety texture. There isn't much extra added from the texture, especially once lube has been added. It might feel better against the clit without lube, so only the natural juices are present. The main functionality here is the vibrations and patterns.
    • No odor
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

The design is simple enough. A thicker, smooth, shaft for insertion. A projection for clitoral stimulation. To be honest, when inserting this anally, it feels very much like a plug, given it's thickness. And the fact that it's tapered slightly at the base of the shaft, near where the projection begins. I didn't have any problems with it wanting to slide out on it's own.

It seems to be small enough for travel, though you would probably have to take precautions with packing it. And given it's shape, which somewhat resembles a gun, going through the airport and an X-ray machine might be interesting.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are located somewhat in the center of the toy's shaft. The vibrations and patterns themselves are mostly nice. Though I found myself ignoring the ones on the negative side of the chart, in favor of the more powerful ones to the right.

Sadly, the controls are not quite that easy to use. There are only two buttons, a + and a -. You press the + button for half a second to turn it on, in which it starts with Constant vibration mode. Tapping the - button sends it through 4 patterns, listed in the information as "Merengue Mode". Which just seems to be slower vibrations.

On the other side, pressing + will take you into Aerobic Mode, and then Razzle Dazzle Mode. There are 7 different versions here.

The problem I found is that you have to tap + or - to cycle through the vibrations. But if you press the - button for more than half a second, it shuts off. Total mood killer. A neat feature, however, is that if you keep pressing the + button, you will constantly cycle through the 7 patterns listed on the + side of the chart provided.

The only way to go back to constant or the - button features, is to hit the - button while on the lowest of the 7. It sounds confusing, but the chart is very handy at explaining this. It has lines and arrows showing you what pressing a button will do.
    • Lots of variety in function
    • Multiple settings

Care and Maintenance

As always, with a silicone toy, you want to use water-based lubricants. This is to prevent a chemical reaction, that might result in your toy being damaged. For storage, personally the box is the best option I've seen. You can throw away a silvery card, and then all you have to do is push the inner box out and grab your toy. Very simplistic in design.

To clean it, soap and water is always nice, though any cleaner that is made for use with silicone-based toys should be acceptable. If you don't have any special cleaner, it's really no trouble to just take it to the sink.

Packaging

The box is one of those where you have an inner one, and the outer box is more of a sheath. It sounds crude, but honestly you just slide the inner box in like the outer one is a condom. You get a little pamphlet of information with it. It has some non-English languages, but some parts are in English. The box can definitely be used for storage if you like to do that, or don't have access to a toy storage of your own.

When the pamphlet is stretched out, on the one side you see little silver circles, with a wave pattern for each of the different functions. Also included are lines to link these patterns, and smaller icons to show whether you press the - or + button to get to that pattern.

On the other side are more informational images. Including one I just noticed that is rather humorous. It shows a single shaft toy, how it sits inside a woman's vagine, and then a pair of buttocks with a big red X across it. Below that is an image of this toy, and how it should go in a woman, the buttocks are there in another image, without the red X. Simple enough to understand. You insert it this way, or it can be used anally.
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative

Personal comments

Personally, I like the Flash. It's a nice little toy, the instructions are informative. It's not rechargeable, which I suppose is the one great flaw with it. But 2xAAA batteries aren't that difficult to come by, so I suppose it could be worse.

One other thing I noticed, is that since it is waterproof, the base is very tight and hard to twist open to put in the batteries. I had worries about ripping it in half, when the material shifted in my palm as I tried to twist it open, or close it. I suppose that is the price you have to pay though, for a waterproof toy.

Experience

I had a good experience with the Flash. I used it anally, which gave the feeling of a butt plug. The vibrations were the best feature of it. Though it was a little difficult to press the buttons, I eventually found the sweet vibrations that made my toes curl.
