Insatiable butterfly by California Exotic

Okay, as I sit down to write this review, I am in my go downstairs and cool down phase following a decent romp with the Mrs. I had ordered the Insatiable Butterfly with the goal of getting our first dual action vibrator. I had looked at Rabbit vibes, but this was less expensive, seemed to have a decent rating, and looked to be more versatile seeing as it had two bullets, of which we had not owned one - and I have read numerous times, they are a definite must.

When I first opened this product it had a pretty strong odor. Not the worst I have smelled (Head Honcho), but definitely strong. I looked forward to using the product but it took almost a week to get around to it. The smell was still there, but slightly less after washing it. The vibe has seven different settings. If you will, I have come up with different analogies to describe them - and I think they are pretty accurate...

1-3. Low, Medium, and High

I must admit (and my wife agrees) -and note this is coming from someone who has never owned a bullet, but on High, this thing is really powerful. We definitely want to try it during intercourse.

Okay, back to the action - so as bullets they are pretty quiet, that is, compared to putting them in the toy itself. Once in the toy I wouldn't call them quiet. They also packed a little less punch, but that is to be expected considering the toy would absorb a bit of it. Once inserted, it was obvious that it was doing a decent job - but in the end, it just didn't get my wife there. Not sure if it is a mental block - but to quote her, "This is what I hate about these things - I'm right there and then -- aaagh." It just didn't get her over the top. Although she wants to try it again. She claimed she needed more clitoral pressure, but the base was irritating her opening. Which brings up another subject. Why do all these toys start out narrow and feel they need to widen at the base, when it is kind of the opposite to how the typical male is (wide at the top and narrower at the base?) Keep in mind my wife is tight so this is not an uncommon complaint. It is also a bit more awkward to hold, because either the individual or partner is forced to basically hold on to the bullets - which might bother some people.

It is made of Jelly, so it was okay to clean, but see Jelly care and cautions. Note: they seem to have made a Silicone version of this product as well. One thing I noticed when I was about to clean the product after use was that the bullets, I assume through the vibrations, had worn little bits of the jelly material off. So you had sand size jelly in the toy slots as well as on the bullets themselves. Probably does not present a danger, but just shows you the delicacy of the material.

All in all, I would recommend the product, if for no other reason for the two bullets. I guess having the two bullets could be advantageous for partner play, for stimulating both nipples at the same time, etc.

Okay, out of sheer desperation to attain my goal of a mutual orgasm during intercourse - I scrapped the "purple people screwer" and decided to just use the bullets. As I stated earlier, the bullets in this device are quite powerful. So I got the wife all revved up and went to work. I start by holding a single bullet at her clit on low. As she got used to it, I moved up to medium.
