Mood breezy - clitoral vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Mwar

When I first saw the Mood Breezy, I thought of how it would make a wonderful gift. However, despite the overall good reviews on the product, I prefer not to recommend a toy unless I have used it myself. So, I, the ever gracious and self-sacrificial Mwar, decided it would be best to subject myself personally to the Mood Breezy to see if it was worthy as a gift for some of my friends. You know, for SCIENCE.

And honestly... I'm a happy guinea pig.

The Mood Breezy is a clitoral vibrator by Doc Johnson and is part of the "Mood" series. While designed with the clitoris in mind, it can be used on any erogenous zone. What makes this one special is that it is rechargeable through via USB port. If for some reason you don't want to charge your toy through the USB on a computer or other device, you can always purchase a USB to AC adaptor and charge the toy from the wall. Overall, even if you had it charging on your computer, it doesn't look like a vibrator. One could say it is a novelty USB drive or a link device for a mouse or something.

The Mood Breezy is very travel friendly and can travel in a roomy pocket or purse with ease. It's not the best for those who live in group situations. The toy is not waterproof, so it cannot be covertly used in the shower. It's also a bit louder than I would recommend for group living. However, if you have some background noise going, you could use this toy without behing heard. It's still a great value for a good price. Beginners may consider this vibe since it is pretty good quality and rechargeable. Experts don't necessarily need this vibe, but it is a cute addition for the collector.

The Mood Breezy is made from plastic. Plastic ranks an 8 out of 10 on the Eden safety scale. It is non porous, so bacteria won't harbor inside the toy. It is smooth and hard, like plastic is. There are a few seams. There is the main one that is where the bottom disconnects to charge and there is another that goes around the boarder of the heart where the toy molds join. You can feel the boarder seams with your fingers, but not really during use. There is also a seam around the button. This can make cleaning a little more effortful, but it's not a deal breaker.



It feels like the plastic has some sort of coating on it since it is not shiny like other plastics and it seems to have a bit more drag than usual. There is little drag but a little lubricant can make for an effortless glide. This funky heart is firm. It's not going to move from where you put it. You can hold and use the Breezy in multiple ways, but the cleavage at the top of the heart is good to use to nestle it against your body. There is a light odor to Breezy, but you have to put your nose to it to smell it.

This is a cute heart. If you turn it to the side or take of the top it looks like a little butt. And despite my pictures, the purple Breezy has more of a royal blue tone than a deep purple. It's far from intimidating and can be a great first toy for many users. It's small, but the heart shape makes it easier to palm in your hand. It is an external toy, so it isn't designed to be insertable. The Mood Breezy is about 3 inches long and the same wide around it's biggest point. Even if you happen to leave it out, it doesn't not scream sex toy. However, since it is so cute, people may try and pick it up to comment on the cute factor. Even if people do pick it up, the button is not super obvious and it takes a bit of Oomph to turn it on. This gives you time to avert potential crisises.



In terms of discretion, the Breezy ranges from 2 to 3 Bees depending on her setting. If you are sensitive and require less stimulation, you'll be able to use this toy at a lower setting and lower sound level. The first couple of intensities are around 2 Bees and can't be heard from under a blanket and closed door. The other settings are louder and, without background noise, you'll probably be heard outside your door. If someone is playing music or watching the TV, though, you should be able to use this without detection. Honestly, if this was a solid 2 Bees, this toy would be near perfect!

Traveling with Breezy is easy. She can fit in a purse or bag easily enough and can be on the go. Since people tend to bring their computer with them, you can always travel your Breezy.

The mood Breezy has 7 functions. The button is located at the top of the toy and you'll notice it has a "7F," for 7 functions, marked on it. To turn the toy on, hold the button for a couple of seconds. You'll be greeted with the first, lowest setting. The settings of Breezy are as follows:

1. Low Standard Vibration
2. Medium Standard Vibration
3. High Standard Vibration
4. Decelerates then Accelerates, repeat
5. Pulses
6. Faster Pulse
7. Two short pulses, than one long one

The motor is located at the top of the toy. They feel more buzzy than rumbly in nature, but they are not extremely buzzy (like some bullets can be). If you keep a tight grip on the toy you may experience that itchy numb feeling on your hands. Still, this toy tickles my hands a bit more than my others. Unless you have very sensitive skin, this isn't a huge issue. And this little heart is pretty darn strong clocking in at a reputable 4 Vrooms. The one downfall is that the Breezy is not waterproof. Still, if you're not into shower play, then this is a non issue.

I noticed some people had a light indicator on their Breezy. Mine either doesn't work or does not exist. Or it could be that I can't see it because my toy is a darker color. Either way, I have no tell tale indicator for charging. I tend to charge it for a couple of hours at a time and that does me well. To remove the bottom of the heart: with the back side facing you, hold onto the large part and use your thumb to press away from you. The bottom should pop off. Don't be afraid to apply a little force.

I'd recommend wipes or cleaner for this toy. You could use soap and water, but be careful not to get water near the charger. Also make sure to spend extra attention around the seams since debris can collect there. Being plastic, there's no lint collection. Both water based and silicone based lubricant cant be used with this toy. However, be light with the lube so it makes cleaning less of a hassle.

Once clean and dry, the Mood Breezy can be stored in any general toy storage. It's best to keep it from direct contact of porous toys to prevent contamination.

The packaging is not discreet, but it's not trashy. It's kind of funky with the black background and funky, bold colors. It's a pretty standard box with a clear window where you can see the toy. The packaging is a bit informative and highlights the qualities of the toy. In terms of charging, there are not written or additional instructions, so you are left to figure it out. The packaging is not bad to give as a gift, but it would be great to include a little satchel so the toy can be stored.

I've been eyeing the Mood Breezy for a while now. It is such a great price for a rechargeable toy! Also, it could make a great gift for friends. However, since friends were in mind, I had to try this toy out. FOR SCIENCE! So I sacrificed myself to be the guinea pig for this toy. As a result, I'm far from disappointed. Sure, it's a little louder than I would have liked, but the Breezy can make a lovely gift.
