Form 3 - discreet massager by Jimmyjane - review by Jenn (aka kissmykitty)

I first discovered Jimmyjane's line of Form products in August of 2010, when I was busy preparing to help represent EdenFantasys at BlogHer. I was intrigued by the simplistic design and charging mechanisms, and the vibrations I felt against my hands (I would never seriously "demo" a product that wasn't my own) felt promising.

A few months later I finally treated myself to the Form 3, and I wasn't disappointed. The Form 3 is most definitely a discreet vibrator, falling in size somewhere between a travel-sized computer mouse and a traditional-sized computer mouse. It's made out of pure silicone, which is a great material in terms of material safety (it doesn't harbor bacteria, and can easily be cleaned and disinfected). The Form 3 is also waterproof, meaning that you can take it with you anywhere water might be - baths, showers, even the pool or hot tub if you're daring.

Usage-wise, Form 3 couldn't be any easier to charge and operate. Simply plop it into the rounded charging base that comes with it, and leave it for a few hours to charge up. It's ready to go once it's been initially charged for 8 hours; once fully-charged the Form 3 will provide about 7 hours worth of play; and after the initial charge should only need about 2 full hours to charge up again.

The Form 3 offers four different vibration modes (standard vibrating; escalating; pulsating; and my second-favorite, rollercoaster), and five different intensities of vibrations. I sometimes joke that I have a clitoris of steel, because I need vibrators that have deep, thrummy vibrations (the rumblier, the better). While Form 3's vibrations aren't what I'd label as rumbly, they're deep enough to please - none of that annoying high-pitched whiny bee/fly buzzing to deal with. However, on its strongest setting the Form 3 does not kick out vibrations that are strong enough for my preference, but they're enough to get the job done.

The controls on the Form 3 are easy to use; no learning curve is required. The + button turns on the toy and increases the intensity; the - button turns down the intensity and is also used to turn off the toy; and the ~ button allows you to cycle through the four available patterns of vibrations.

While the product description and stock images of the Form 3 suggest that you can use your finger against the thin part of the silicone to pinpoint vibrations in various areas, I found it to be a bit of a disappointment, and prefer the more solid portion of the toy to deliver the maximum vibrations. I'd also recommend using a bit of water-based lubricant (don't let the type fool you: silicone-based lube is not compatible with silicone-based toys!) to help reduce the catching tendency that silicone products tend to have.
