Fully Functional for Any Occasion!
Overall, this piece is a perfect addition to any woman's lingerie collection. It's the perfect price. It WILL fit you, and you never have to worry about looking awful. Other than the difference in shades shown, it's definitely worth taking the time to buy. Stock up!Published: March 31, 2011
Pros:
Wonderful fit, looks beautiful on
Cons:
Color mismatch to photo
I spent a lot (and I do mean A LOT) of time searching around to try and find something to match this garter I bought about a year ago. It was simply something to spice up the bedroom, but it was so hard to find anything in my size! So, I was extremely skeptical about trying a One Size set. Ordered anyway for $10.99, what did I have to lose? Not much!
When it came, I was completely thrown off. The red was MUCH brighter than it looked in the photo and didn't exactly match what I needed it for. While that was kind of disappointing to me, I tried them together anyway. Luckily enough, the difference wasn't so horrible that I couldn't wear them together. Lucky break!
Now, as for the One Size fear...It actually fit quite well; the lace stretches PERFECTLY to fit. To me, that's something of a marvel since I've got such an awkwardly shaped body to begin with. Even the panty fit perfectly, and that's a complete first for me. So I definitely decided to keep it. Why not, it looks absolutely wonderful!
The best thing about this garment is probably that you DO NOT need to worry about tying anything. That's always been my least favorite part, especially since my bust size is out there. You simply slip it over your head, and it stays on as long as you need it to. I cannot tell you how relieved I was to find that the lace would stretch out to give just enough coverage without looking awkward!
I would definitely recommend this for any woman who wants something on the sexy side but is strapped for cash. (Aren't we all nowadays?) It would look wonderful on just about any body style since nothing about it is fitted. Pair with a set of red (or maybe black, if you're feeling adventurous) stockings, and you're good to go!
I would just tell you to be careful when you wash the garment. It IS lace, and it IS stretchy, so machine drying is probably out if you don't want tears and frays. You may even want to consider a hand wash, since many don't like the idea of dry cleaners, to extend the life of this piece. At the price, however, maybe you'll want to order two! I know I'll definitely be getting the black to mix and match with!

Follow-up commentary

I've only worn this a couple times and it went through the wash. It did survive, just so everyone knows! I didn't put it through the dryer, but I normally don't put much through it. I've lost some weight since getting this (yay me!) and the top still pretty much fits the same, like a glove against my chest. Panties still fit wonderfully too!
For all those wondering, I'm a 38D/DD (Depending on the brand) and a dress size 14. Definitely not a let-down in any way, glad I bought it and will be getting it in black now!

Red makes cops pull you over, bulls chase you, and people think of hot temperatures on the faucet.

I think it would depend on the guy, and what colour looks good on you. Personally, I'm a redhead, and reds often do nothing but clash with my hair. However, red and black is one of my favourite colour combinations, so in order to compromise, I generally just keep red away from my hair.
My boyfriend likes me to wear aqua, and agrees that red just doesn't look very good on me. Good thing I like aqua, too!

Thank you for viewing Romantic lace babydoll – sexy lingerie review page!

Thanks for the review! The size chart says it fits sizes 6-11, does that sound about right to you?
How sturdy is it?
@Crystal, I wear a size 14. So maybe it runs a little big?
@dv8, I'd say for a stretch lace, extremely. I'm sure it will vary for everyone based on how often they use it.
Thanks for the review. Sizing is very helpful.
