Gee Kiwi?
This is a very innovative sex toy with some really great functions. I wouldn't say that it's perfect but if you work with it, it can prove to be versatile and pleasing to a large percentage of women.Published: January 2, 2010
Pros:
The ability to change the angle of the curve; vibration pitch/frequency nice & rumble-y.
Cons:
The handle could be longer, the vibrations could be a little more intense.

I'm not sure where the name comes from... perhaps the curve of the toy is similar to the beak of a kiwi bird? Who knows.

Measurements: My own measurements seem to be different than what is listed currently on the overview (as of 01-02-09). The G-Ki is more oval-shaped, so getting an accurate measurement isn't easy.
Overview states that it's 1 1/2" wide. I have a comparison photo up on my blog showing the tip side-by-side to the Njoy Pure Wand which is 1 1/2". I measured it as best I could and I think it's more like 1 1/4" or 1 3/8". The neck is around 1". Since you probably don't want it inserted right up to the mid-joint button, I would say that the insertable portion is only 4" - but it's a curved 4" and I know I didn't have all of that inside of me before I was able to reach my g-spot, but mine isn't very far in. If yours is deeper, then you might not be able to use this in the J-shape meant to achieve dual-stimulation.
I ran through the vibrations in the video, but I found out afterwards that if I cycled through the steady vibrations (5 in all) in *reverse*, then the variance was a little more obvious, and the lowest level was lower than when it is first turned on.
Functions 1-5 are steady vibrations
Function 6 is a medium pulse
Function 7 is a faster pulse
Function 8 is a slow and easy revving, (less powerful to more powerful) 1-2-3-4-5-5-4-3-2-1
Function 9 is a medium revving, 1-2-3-4-5-1-2-3-4-5
Function 10 is identical to 9, just faster.
I rated the vroom at a 3 because the vibrations are so diffuse.
Also, the toy only weighs 5 ounces.

While I still feel it's a good toy, it's just not for me personally. Overall shape, vibration level, length of "handle" etc just aren't a good fit for my body.

Do you prefer old school turn dial straight vibs or new school twirly gadgets?

I'm not very well informed on the evolution of vibrators from old school to new school but turn dial straight vibes don't scream old school to me, they scream cheap! When I think of old school sex toys it's more Hitachi or traditional phallic dildos. Either way I think new school vibrators and toys are awesome just because the shapes and features are dictated by function, stimulation and performance. That's more exciting than a hyper-realistic replica of a penis... though that has its own appeal.

It makes this odd popping noise when you change the settings. Mine hasn't broken or anything, but I'm very careful when I change settings because the popping noise concerns me. I've never had it get stuck on a setting. It changes really easily.

I LOVE the Mimi and was wondering if the G-Ki had the same type of vibrations, motor, etc? Now that I've found something to get me to have clit orgasms I want to find something for g-spot orgasms. I have both but there may be something wrong with my Mimi becuase, to me, it's incredibly weak and buzzy. The G-ki is definitely stronger and a little deeper..

I haven't made my Mimi review yet, but in my opinion it's a mix-breed between buzzy and rumbly. If I use it for too long of a period it's buzzy, but I tend to get off before that happens so I don't know. Your response was helpful stronger and deeper is good since I can adjust the settings to where I like. I'll have to see, but I think I'm leaning toward saving for it as my next big purchase.
